Went with a trip. It was a somewhat interesting display, though the audio guide was really quite uninteresting. The writing on the displays was interesting however, and I enjoyed learning more about a synagogue. You can go into a normal one but you don't tend to learn about the meaning of everything in there, but you can in here
Definitely worth a visit but the best part is the old Portuguese synagogue across the street. The synagogue is closed to visitors on Saturday. The synagogue is still only lit by candles.
This is a museum you don’t want to miss. It had such a cool and hipster vibe. It had beautiful art, not your usual art, rather the authentic hip kind of art. They featured Robbie Williams, Banksy, Warhol and so many others. We really enjoyed this experience
One of the best museums I've visited.✨ Fits modern art and a charming old building perfectly together somehow. Staff was very friendly.🩷 The spaces in the building are quite small, which is probably why the capacity is limited and tickets should be bought online in advance. Some additional art is also available outside when you exit so be sure not to miss those! 🫶
Very well put together story of the community past, in the war period and present. A lovely surprise as you step up into the shul from below.

Not overly impressive and much smaller than expected. We finished in 20 minutes. I had hoped for more for the price and the good reviews. Also not suitable for people with disabilities as there are only stairs and no elevator. Nevertheless, the works and the atmosphere were beautiful.
A different museum, quite curious.
They have a small interactive part, and almost everything is a museum with modern art.
Banksy's part is pretty good.
They have a garden with other works that you can climb and take photos.

An amazing place with lockers two halls for music and a bar with a wide selection of drinks.
One bad point I can say however, is that the lockers do not give coins back. Every time you open them you lose a euro

Any review you see about the bunker will be heavily influenced by what event was attended. Every time I've been here it's been great, though! Bring cash for the bar.
Made a quick stop here. There are some famous contemporary pieces here but also some that are of average quality that didn’t give me the impression of being authentic, maybe a bit too POP to be really interesting … but anyways, City Card for free entry. Also, the light installation had only one room that looked quite cool, the others were sort of a surplus for the quantity not quality
There are Nice culture events regularly and even Chinese dance now!! Chinese culture is truly amazing 🤩
Loved that they give you a small book with short stories about each of 99 photos so that you know the meaning behind them. It is very clearly written. Captivating to see how photography was changed from the first photos ever to nowadays.
Op zich fijne winkels. Daar ligt het niet aan. Ah, Hema, Kruidvat, bakker enz. Jammer genoeg leegstand. Drugs dealen, gebeurt ook al jaren (als je het niet goed int zicht hebt, wil nog niet zeggen dat dit er niet is, maargoed) Waar ik mij alleen aan irriteer zijn die hang (aso) jongeren. Vooral op zondag. Scooters (oorverdovend) fatbikes (scheuren over het plein). Waag het niet om ze aan te spreken, dan krijg je een grote mond. Maar goed, dit is onze nieuwe generatie. Verschrikkelijk, waar ging het fout?
We went there on a Wednesday at 1pm so it was not too crowded but still a bit for the size of the museum. It was surprising to see that the museum was this nice little castle house ! I have to admit that the funniest part (for me) was the 'immersive' one, it was really beautiful and captivating. However, I feel like the whole museum in itself felt like it was a bit short to see, we did not spend a lot of time in there ( ~50 min) but it's not dramatic at least you don't have the time to get bored. It was still a really nice activity to do, I definitely recommend ⭐.
Nice place for drink beer, or concert. Good check on the Google that something is happen. Beacouse it isnt open all time. But I always enjoy a party there!
A really great venue. There's a really good bar attached with a great selection of beers. Staff are all fantastic. Good sound quality.
Conveniently located, the place has a great atmosphere with fantastic acoustics!

Excellent Jewish museum that really explains the Jews and Amsterdam throughout the ages. This museum does not focus on WW2, although it is a small part of it. Also, a must see is the beautiful Portuguese Synagogue located across the street from the museum. The Synagogue is still in use today, but you can visit and explore its treasures when it's not in use for services.
Sunday afternoon. Couple of nice pieces there but nightmare to enjoy time there due to crowded spaces. On the website there are time slots to be chosen but apparently you can get in at any time - as we did 😉 Good for us, but viewing art was super exhausting and I was as checking their museum tour map to see how much till end so we can finish. Inside was stuffy and super hot. Clock room 1€ per item.
It's a nice little museum with some interesting pieces. A mix of pictures, sculptures, and digital pieces. Make sure to download the app when you're walking around outside of the museum.
It's also not far from the tram, which makes it easy to get to. Plenty of museums and art galleries in the area.

Leuk winkelcentrum, je hebt er alleen wat je nodig hebt.
Altijd een gezellige winkel centrum. Jammer dat er nu een leegstand is
I didn’t feel there was a clear theme and move in chronological order although that’s what they tried. The Jewish museums in the states are more robust maybe they should take help from there. I loved the gift shop, good collection. Maybe that’s the feeling I get because I was at the synagogue the same day
Het was dat je het gezien hebt. Maar zeker niet voor die prijs. Met zen vieren de rondleiding gehad. Nee een aanrader zou het voor mijn niet zijn geweest.
De historische kelders zijn oud, vanaf de 12e eeuw. Aan de bouw en de stenen kan je historie en wetenswaardigheden aflezen. Het zijn eigenlijk gewoon kelders onder woonhuizen die rond de laatste eeuwwisseling met EU-geld aan elkaar gemaakt zijn met tunnels/doorbraken. Ze zijn netjes opgeruimd. Veel kabelgoten en kloostermoppen. Alles is netjes gedaan en dan kan je dus een route lopen van een paar honderd meter. Wel uniek om onder de grond te kunnen kijken in een zo oude straat. Ze lopen onder een klein stuk van de Rijnstraat van de Oude Oeverstraat tot iets voorbij het Sint Peters Gasthuis.
We lopen met gids en dat duurde ruim een uur. Eerlijk gezegd was het deel boven de grond minstens zo boeiend als het deel eronder, met het Sint Peters Gasthuis als hoogtepunt. Dat is echt fraai, ook even binnen gekeken.
De gids vertelde er wat stadshistorie bij. Dat was interessant en een boel geleerd. De kelders zelf waren wat gewoontjes, geen spectaculaire vluchtroutes of schuilkelders. Gewoon opslagruimtes. En dan vind ik € 10 best prijzig voor een kaartje.

Boodschappen. Plantjes. Kippenzaak. Dranken en kaartjeswinkel. Kruidvat iets voor te smullen en drinken. Een bib. En nog een paar andere winkels met toch redelijk wat parkeermogelijkheden in de buurd. Een leuke buurd voor te winkelen dus of gewoon even te ademen
Fijn lokaal winkelcentrum. Je hebt er een paar basis winkels, zoals Hema, Ah (lekker groot), Etos, Kruidvat en een hele goede Bakker van Zuijlen (niet in het overdekte deel maar aan de achterkant Dreiumme 1.

Fantastische locatie! Hoop hier nog heel vaak terug te komen! En verder helemaal off topic: wat is die Margriet vd Linden naast een zeer getalenteerde tv-maker ook nog eens een enorm sympathiek en hartelijk en toegankelijk iemand! 😘
Een wandeling door de kelders die onder de winkelstraten liggen. Het is mooi om te zien dat deze kelders nog in goede conditie zijn. Bij binnenkomst werden wij vriendelijk begroet en er werd er uitgelegd wat we konden verwachten. Een maal in de kelders hingen er meerdere bordjes met informatie van de ruimte. Deze informatie was wat minimaal en eenvoudig. De ruimtes waren leeg en niet ingedeeld en er hing een vreemde geur. Bovenal was het leuk om te bezoeken.
