9.50 for a salad wrap where I’ve craved vegetables all week and it tastes better than the offerings at the slopes?! Amazing, cheers team
Delicious breakfast - mine was a spinach, bacon and mushroom omelette. It tasted very fresh and overall delicious. The staff here are very lovely and constantly check up on you. The chefs are great too. Price is affordable.
Disgusting hard salmon bagel, could not cut the bagel it was so hard! Too much dressing on the plate as well, just horrible!
Enjoyed my time at this cafe. Customer service was A+, amazing food. Will come again

The food looked amazing but it was cold when it was served. The small serving of fries was $10 and didn’t come with any sauce had to ask for it . The bread that came with the eggs bene was soggy and the melted cheese on the top was rock hard couldn’t cut through. Had to ask for marshmallow for hot chocolate 😀 also the waffle was $15. Came here because the photos online looked amazing. But never returning again.

I felt this every time I went, but I don't know if it was the owner or the employee, but the man was very unfriendly. He brought the food to the table and didn't even give me a basic greeting, so I paid for it and didn't want to go there again.
Wanted to give this bakery a try since the lines at Fergbaker were very long. There are quite a few options of sweet baked goods and pies. I only tried the raspberry almond tart which unfortunately was a miss for me. The tart was interestingly filled with cake with a thin layer of raspberry underneath. The almond flavour was too strong and chemical like and ruined the tart. Will update when I get a chance to try the pies. Also note there are limited tables inside to dine in.
Absolutely delicious! Every item was spot on. The mussel was cooked in a rich creamy sauce with white wine. The salmon is from Mt Cook, the skin is so crispy but the meat is so tender and juicy, garnished with dried tomato paste and gives you a delightful taste of umami. Steak is perfectly cooked as well.
Fried chicken waffles are a classic for honey cafe and always delicious! We enjoyed the eggs benny as well. It’s a very busy cafe but the staff are friendly and we were promptly seated. There’s also free parking in the weekends by the nearby car park.

I’ve been going to the great cafe every weekend for a month now and the staff are always lovely, food comes out promptly and the coffee (Allpress) is great. Sometimes the poached eggs are a little undercooked for my liking but they are great at making my bacon crispy how I like it.
My favourite place. I cannot exaggerate enough how delicious the food is and how amazing customer service is. (which I find rare these days). Thank you for an amazing meal. Always love your welcoming nature and atmosphere.
Cute little place with really good food and hot chocolate. The smoked salmon with the eggs Benedict and fried eggs was yummy.

Excellent food and friendly team. Coffee made to perfection here. Spacious seating including outside seating too.
Good vibe and delicious food after a long day! Staff recommended the fish of the day and that was amazing.

May take advise from the staff, they are so nice and good chat!!
We love going here for breakfast. Staff is friendly and the food is great! Coffee also top class. It’s also buzzing usually with loads of people, but we’ve never had to wait for a table.
So yum! Such a cute lil cafe with an awesome vibe. Extensive menu that was so yum and athletically pleasing food. Would definitely recommend!
I ordered a Smashed Avo open sandwich with feta cheese and salmon on the side, and it was super delicious! I also had a flat white, which I loved. My friend ordered some toast and scrambled eggs, and he enjoyed them too. I definitely recommend this place for brunch or lunch.
What a wonderful breakfast in this place.
We’re a group of old people and allowed to share our meals.
Loved their coffee, belgian waffles & big breakfast, well done eggs.

Will come again
Always a little busy spot in Taka! Most times I have had to wait for a table and get a call back, but it does show the popularity of the cafe. Once you’re in, the place is quaint so when it’s busy, there is not too much space to get up and move around! The service is great, the staff are very friendly and accomodating. The coffee is nice and the food is good too. The Thai beef salad is really nice, the beef was cooked tenderly with really nice seasoning
First meal off the plane. Oysters were really nice, definitely worth the order. These are the natural with shallot vinaigrette, fresh lemon wedges. So not the Bluff oysters. I love a good salt and pepper calamari as well, wish there was a bit more and could do with less chips and salad.
i ordered a large oat milk caramel latte and the bro comes out with a latte with no caramel, no extra shot and regular milk. i’m lactose intolerant you tryna make me sick?? i was literally the only customer there (can see why now) so he can’t blame being busy. toastie he made was nice but definitely won’t come back lol.
I ordered the Crumbly Chicken on the Belgian Waffle.

It was two waffles with two strips of breaded chicken, topped with powdered sugar and micro greens.
It didn't look like a lot of food at first but it was filling and it tasted very good!
I was a bit surprised by the powdered sugar being on top of the chicken but it honestly didn't taste too bad.

The restaurant wasn't too busy, but granted I did go at 10:00. They serve breakfast until 2 pm and lunch until 4 pm.
The restaurant has a bit of a vintage or rustic feel to it and is quite nice. There's a good amount of seating and the restaurant has a very nice vibe.

The food did take a little bit considering there was no one else in the restaurant, and the food was a bit pricey, so I do think you could find cheaper options.

Overall the restaurant was nice, with good tasting food, a good amount of options, and with nice atmosphere and service

Sunday brunch, we ordered the ‘Breakkie board’ with scrambed eggs (this was devine!!!) and poached eggs, the bread was also a highlight. Bowl of kumara fries, these were delicious the seasoning was great!
Also ordered the ‘Calamari’ this was a bit tough though, salad was very nice. Everything that was fried like hasbrowns, fries & kumara fries could’ve done with a bit more time in the fryer. Otherwise great spot, mocha & ice mocha was amazing too

Place full of memories, the meal is prepared in the old fashioned way.
Service was nice, and so was atmosphere.

Picture shows iced matcha which tasted just like milk. As picture shows just was milk with tinge of green. Cafe was nice enough to take it back however.

We got omelette and creamy mushroom. Was okay as well - lots of potential but maybe food/menu needs to be reviewed to ensure it’s being prepared properly.

We had eggs Benedict and chicken panini was lovely. I tried an ice chocolate but it came out basically like a milkshake which I ddnt like. I also tried the iced coffee but didn't like that either they havmt mastered those yet but the food is nice. And lovely service and atmosphere.also they stop cooking food at 2pm.

It’s not traditional Egg Benedict as it’s added kimchi to the bacon and made it a bit too salty. The egg was overcooked so not that good. Coffee is okay. Overall not great for people who wanna normal Benedict.
Really poor quality food. Super disappointed for my husband and I to spend $14 EACH for eggs on toast and it's budget brand white bread slices (not even properly toasted) slathered in margarine with a single bland egg. No sides or seasoning or anything. Really dissappointed, wouldn't even serve myself that at home. Coffee was good though. Had to go home to eat food to feel full before we could go to our event.
Cute little cafe with a homely feel. The coffee was tasty and reasonably priced. There aren’t a huge amount of cafe options in the area but these guys are solid!

This Cafe is usually pretty good but the standard has dropped since being in lockdown. I like to support local businesses such as this but the quality of food looks so old like it's been sitting in the warmer for days.
Gute pies und Sandwiches😀 Preise sind auch in Ordnung
