Definitely recommend stopping here when passing through Ashburton. Nice, classy restaurant. The mains are a bit limited in terms of vegetarian/pescatarian options but the sharing plates are still decent portion sizes. I particularly enjoyed the prawn dumplings.
Amazing Indian food at Indian Moments. Flavorful dishes, generous portions, and beautiful ambiance. Friendly staff and great value. Highly recommend!

What an amazing place, we popped in after lunch in one of the many local restaurants and could have wondered around for the whole day. Such a stunning array of art and sculpture, wonderfully written details about the art and artists, in non arty language.
The staff were so helpful and knowledgeable and next time we will have to book lunch in the restaurant as well. Great for all ages, easy to get around, highly recommended.

I just want to say Indian moments is by far the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. It is my regular place to eat now I go atleast once a month if not more. You can’t beat the quality here. My favorite dish is the lamb buna it’s well worth a try
Service was good very friendly, food presentation was awesome, but the food itself tasted pretty average I got the lamb rack the Lamb tasted good but probably not as good as it should’ve been for the price the purée tasted just like baby food.
We waited about 25 minutes to 30 minutes for our food and we were the only ones waiting as they other two tables on people had already received their food by the time we were seated at our table, overall i’m a little disappointed but it’s not the worst place. I’ve been to either. I won’t be back in a hurry though.

Food was phenomenal, and the service was even better definitely going to be the go to spot for future Indian meals down in Chch.

This restaurant serves gorgeously crafted, hearty, Canterbury fare. We relished their Lumina lamb skewer. The lamb was flavoursome and melted like butter in our mouths. It was an eye watering pleasure along with the Canterbury Quinoa salad which we had partnered with some of the most mouthwatering fried chicken we've ever tasted. The kumara sides also made for a sensational trip of delicious dishes which really packed a punch. A gorgeous establishment which comes with a gregarious Mid Canterbury welcome. A little gem that's well worth stopping in for.

What a delight! Fantastic Pinot Gris. Amazing food. Totally recommend this magnificent place. Have yet to do the sculpture walk but that is an added bonus after my wine and meal.
This was such a wonderful experience right from the moment we were greeted by the front of house lady, who was so mesmerising I just couldn’t stop smiling. Lots to look at if money is no problem, you can enjoy the restaurant and do wine tasting. Quite a beautiful place. Highly recommend.
Lazeez serves some of the most delicious middle eastern food in Christchurch. It’s so fresh, tasty and also good value for money. If you want an affordable and healthy meal, Lazeez is the place to go

Little India Merivale is the best Indian in Christchurch! Jose and his team are so friendly, and the curries are always perfectly cooked and delicious. They have great recommendations too if you’re willing to branch out from a Butter Chicken!
Visited with friends for some tasting as well as walk through the art galleries. The service was amazing from the moment we arrived. Karen was so attentive throughout our time there. The art collection was captivating, gardens beautiful. We had about an hour between the galleries and dinner and one of the owners spotted and talked to us for a while. Lovely to hear the story of how they started Sculptereum. I would definitely return to both gallery and restaurant.
This is one of the best Indian restaurant in Christchurch. I have visited this restaurant a few times and highly recommend the food cooked to perfection. Very tasty food with a variety of choices. Thank you Jose for your warm welcome and good hospitality. I like to meet you with a friendly smile. My favourite restaurant has friendly staff with good customer service. A must visit place you will not be disappointed. I love to visit again.
Went here today with friends. A very fun place with lots to see and keep the kids busy. The galleries and art wrk were great.

You can also buy wine tasting tickets with the gallery ticket. I paid $50 for this. Immediately after paying for the ticket I was told there's no wine tasting therefore $12 was refunded. After our visit, wine tasting was made available but we git charged $20 per person when the initial ticket I had bought had $12 cost to it that was refunded. This felt like a rip off. Wine tasting was one of the reasons for going there so we paid the $20 and did our wine tasting but this needs to be better organized.

This restaurant was really nice. They took our booking in short notice and provided amazing food. We didn't have to wait long. Always asking if we needed anything. Highly highly recommend this place. Perfect family place to.
I want to start with mentioning this is the very first review I have ever left on a restaurant but felt compelled to. Currently visiting from chch and decided to check out the local food places.
As a coeliac it can be very difficult to find restaurants that I feel safe to eat at. Not here! Their entire menu is designed so practically everything (except for one dish - the pasta) is made naturally gluten free or can be made to do so. They do this without sacrificing variety in the menu, flavour, ingredients - the food was divine and the atmosphere was beautiful!
Thank you for having us and I believe this place is exemplary to other establishments for the future of dining out 😊

Beautiful Tagine with a wide variety of toppings, bases and sauces to choose from, all with generous, filling servings and at a very reasonable price. Ordering ahead online helps. Staff were very friendly and made sure all the different requests were labelled correctly, including mild/hot etc. Food was still hot when we got home despite being a largish order. The Arabic rice, complete with nuts and raisins, is simply sublime!!
Must visit place.. Jose and team were on point to serve us delicious food.. and impeccable hospitality.. some good Bollywood music playing in the back added to the experience. must visit authentic Indian flavour restaurant in Christchurch.. check my dessert pic 😍
Visiting Little India turned out to be a fantastic experience. The restaurant offers a cozy ambiance paired with an explosion of authentic Indian flavors. But what truly set our visit apart was the service provided by our waitress, Pearl. She was remarkably attentive, offering personalized recommendations that enhanced our dining experience. Pearl's warmth and professionalism are commendable, making Little India a must-visit for anyone seeking delicious food with a side of excellent service.
I came into Little India for dinner last Tuesday. We did not have a reservation but the staff were still incredibly welcoming and very professional. The food was incredible, I was especially impressed with the Mixed Platter for Two in the entree section. All round a fantastic experience, highly recommend.
Had about two hours walking the lovely Scultureum displays which were excellent & far exceeded our expectations. Both garden outside displays are terrific but for us the indoor gallery of priceless artworks was the best
Hello, this is a fantastic little local restaurant with great food! We often order takeaway when having last minute guests over or if watching a Sunday night movie. The staff are wonderful and they do a bespoke order if you ask them prior to the evening when it gets very busy we recently did this when having a group over to share food as was better than getting 6 individual dishes - we got it 'grouped'). It really is healthy and delicious food - the only downside is the queue ... try and go before 6pm as it gets very very busy which is no surprise! There is also good parking and they are fast so you don't have to wait too long even if it is busy - enjoy!
i ordered a large oat milk caramel latte and the bro comes out with a latte with no caramel, no extra shot and regular milk. i’m lactose intolerant you tryna make me sick?? i was literally the only customer there (can see why now) so he can’t blame being busy. toastie he made was nice but definitely won’t come back lol.

Unfortunately, this was the worst butter chicken I have ever had in my life. They also forgot one of our curries and we had to come back for it. Really disappointing.
Our favorite eatery was shut so we went to armadillos. Food was great, quick service, and friendly staff. I had chicken snitzel. Very tasty.
Didn’t take photos but all our meals were really yum. herb crusted lamb racks and steak the best!
As with any nice restaurant, the butter for the bread was delicious!
The presentation of all of the main dishes were immaculate, but they were all a little difficult to eat with lots of small pieces of food and long vege stems. Each salad had a little too much dressing for our taste but some people might prefer it that way.
The coffees were great!

I think I have found our new favorite curry 🍛 😍 house in Christchurch ! Well, we'll very surprised at the quality of the curry on offer as it was pretty spot on ,it was our first visit to Indian moments, but I'm sure of one thing it won't be our last 😉.
Staff were ignorant when I came to collect my takeaway order, didn’t acknowledge me just put the eftpos through. I waited a long time for my food and it was sitting there the whole time the staff member just didn’t look… I paid $36.20 for a curry and 2 naans, the curry was watery and bland I didn’t end up eating it. Chicken still has the skin on, wouldnt buy again.
Pulled beef salad. Huge and way more than just a salad. Great quality meat directly off the grill as they cooked it in front of you. Choice of 3 salads to add. So large it lasted two nights. Simply fantastic.

Went with family, there were 13 of us (aged 2 years - 70+yrs) and everyone loved it! Plenty of parking. The gardens and grounds were well kept. Staff were amazing. There are umbrellas in case if it’s raining. Amazing place, a must visit for everyone .

My wife and I really enjoy our experience here. First off, the food was wonderful! It was fresh and flavourful, and the wine was well balanced and full of depth and complexity. Our server was sweet and knowledgeable about good food and wine pairings. Secondly, the garden and sculptures that the winery is a part of is peaceful, and well maintained. The sculpture walk didn't take all day, but the walk through the garden and forest was breath taking, and the sculptures were interesting to look at. All in all, we really enjoyed our afternoon here and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Really poor quality food. Super disappointed for my husband and I to spend $14 EACH for eggs on toast and it's budget brand white bread slices (not even properly toasted) slathered in margarine with a single bland egg. No sides or seasoning or anything. Really dissappointed, wouldn't even serve myself that at home. Coffee was good though. Had to go home to eat food to feel full before we could go to our event.
Was really disappointed last time I dined in. my meat was overcooked, and my sauce was oily. Then my dessert was tiny. I usually love dining here. The front of house staff are amazing & make you feel welcome
Cute little cafe with a homely feel. The coffee was tasty and reasonably priced. There aren’t a huge amount of cafe options in the area but these guys are solid!

Lovely place. Went in to pick up a pick up order and it was clear they were a little busy. A staff member said it would be 5 mins. 4 minutes later, despite it being busy, he brings the completed order straight to my car. Very good customer service, going above and beyond. Food was excellent too. They give you six options of spice levels instead of the standard 3-4 which is also great. Will recommend to my friends.

Eigentlich gute Sachen...Preis stimmt auch ...andere Auswahl an Sachen als bei uns in Germany/ Berlin
