Ahh... What an experience, great for art and history lovers, extra ordinary architecture, seems like you are living in history, the building its self is a marvel, worth visiting.
It is a very good place to see Pakistan culture and also world culture. It represents a lot of things.
I bought 2 posters for 250 rupees to celebrate here. Suddenly, an employee came and asked for more money.
Obviously, the employee said it was Rs 250 per sheet, but another employee came and asked for more money that it was Rs 500 per sheet.
Souvenir shops are also too expensive. You can buy them at a cheaper price if you go to Sadar.
Never buy anything here.
Shop staff and desk staff are really unkind. Be careful.

Amazing place to explore history. Per head ticket cost around 50-100. It’s a must visit place for those who have heart for history
The Lok Virsa Heritage Museum in Islamabad is a fascinating cultural repository showcasing the diverse cultural heritage of Pakistan.

Tickets 20rs for kids and 50 for adults.too cheap to cover the costs of maintenance. Hence AC not in all areas.

Enrich with the traditional value from around the country. A place which sums up the values of all the regions across the country. A must visit place if you want to know the cultural values of Pakistan. Please make sure to not ruin any of the exhibition there. Keep your kids with yourself.

It’s good to explore the history of undivided India. Saw the cultural dresses of Pakistan, Islamic manuscripts, islamic war dress codes, Pakistani coins, army medals, medals given in British times, coins used in Mughal empire, coons used in British times, weapons used hundreds of years ago, Paintings, Stone Age weapons, stone and metal Jewellery, Metal cookwares.
Much antique stuff is present in Lahore museum.
Multiple stuff related to Buddah- Sidartha Gautama. Especially fasting buddha picture was a masterpiece!
If You’re history lover this place is definitely worth visiting for you, many foreigners visit the museum on daily basis.
At the end here is a suggestion:
I visited museum on 4 July 2024. I would prefer you people to visit in cold weather because there are no ACs working inside, it’s really hot and i was full of sweat while exploring. So it’s better to visit some cool day.
The museum is closed on Friday.
Google showing it closed on Wednesday that’s wrong.
Timing 9 to 5.

Such nice & well kept garden lawns..... with an architectural master piece in the backdrop..... It's really a gem of a place.... But not many karachiets realise this....
Good place... with a wonderful museum... It would cost you Rs. 100 to enter the gallery.. if you love history and arts this place is highly recommended.
Look Virsa Museum includes the history from the Indus Valley civilization to the modern 21st century in itself. It is very appreciatively protected by the authorities. The place is also managed carefully. You start walking from the main gate and leave it with a visual representation of the past thousands of years. The place also includes shops to buy souvenirs. It also has many food points. There do have captions of each section or thing but I think there should also be guides for better understanding.

Intricate details about life of Quaid-e-Azam M. Ali Jinnah, the founding father of the Pakistani nation. The photographic history of the pre independence era is displayed here. The sindhi culture, and its importance is also highlighted.
Photography is not allowed inside museum, the mobile phones and cameras are to be deposited at the front gate however outside photos of the vintage architectural building can be captured.

It was really awesome. It was the biggest museum i have visited. It contains almost all archaeological instruments, clothes,shoes, guns etc of almost all the cultures from the beginning till now. But anyone who wants to visit here must need to bring their student cards whether they are students of school, college or university. Even if you have leaven the studies still your old student card may be acceptable. It will help you to get concessions in entrance fees.
Museo privato ricavato da un’antica villa. Molto bello e interessante con tante immagini dell’amato presidente Quaid. Non si possono scattare foto all’interno, il telefono lo lasci in deposito all’ingresso
I went for the seminar on Meer Taqi Meer, Iqbal and Ghalib (who was later replaced by Faiz). The place was very nice and beautifully maintained. I did not visit the museum inside but I heard it's great inside too.
Khoobsoorat Palace. Well managed. Clean and peaceful. They took my phone before letting me in the museum which I really liked because I was focus more on experiencing rather than capturing. Other than that I would say the management is so kind and helpful. It’s usually open throughout the week but closed on Mondays. And I heard that there are some events that this place sometimes hosts so that day will be closed for public visits. So make sure you check it on google maps or contact their given phone number and confirm before visiting. Highly recommended.

Musée très intéressant pour comprendre la diversité des peuples présents au Pakistan ainsi que leurs coutumes et histoire ancienne jusqu'à il y a 7000 ans! Une présentation de la fondation du Pakistan contemporain et de ses acteurs emblématiques figure également dans ce musée s'étalant sur 15000m2 et sur deux étages.
