Pretty and manageable building with paintings, tapestries and furniture. Go up the stairs to buy tickets. It was quiet when we were there. Audio guides are included in the entry fee and available in multiple languages.

Perfektní muzeum pro fandy dopravnich prostředku. Bylo to tady mic hrzke a je to i velke. Nezda se to, ale fakt je toha tady dost. Dve velke haly a jeste venkovni prostory.

The view from the tower is amazing, you get to see Bratislava and especially the beautiful centre from above.
Also, the history of Bratislava and generally Slovakia is presented, e.g. the sovietic years, as well as the urban development and different areas of life, such as free time, work, sports and so on.

Pro milovníky historické dopravy. Muzeum má 2 haly. Vhodné i při čekání na vlak 😊
It is a great museum with a large variety of exhibits from the history of the city and the everyday life of its inhabitants. We spent nearly 3 hours visiting all the exhibitions which are included in the ticket. You can also climb to the top of the tower where you will have a great view of the city.
A must see from outside for pictures
It’s an average museum with about an hour or twos worth of things to see. Several sections to it and exhibits ranging from wine history to weapons to fashion. We learned a lot about Slovakia but I wouldn’t go again, one time is enough and it’s good to fill space if you need to. They accept card.
20240717_Szpindel. Polecam. Z kartą Bratislava - za darmo. Super muzeum z mnóstwem eksponatów. Parkingu praktycznie brak. Ciężkie dojście z powodu remontu. Duże i wysokie schody. Jednak jeżeli masz siłę i energię - walcz ze schodami. Warto zobaczyć.
The museum is very nice to visit, many artifacts and exhibits to see. Lot of information and the view from the tower is very nice. It’s above the main square and you have a view of all city. Totally recommend it!
There is a fee to enter in the town hall and to the tower. From the tower there 360 degrees of Bratislava. The tower is in the back of the main square and the Greek embassy. It worths the visit and the stairs going up.
Mit der Tram Linie 3 aus der Innenstadt von Bratislava hierher gefahren, weiter mich über Trampelpfade und Schienenstränge mittels GPS und Maps durch die Wildnis gekämpft, es hat sich gelohnt. Ein nettes kleines Eisenbahnmuseum mit Objekten zur Geschichte der hiesigen Eisenbahn. Hauptattraktion ist die betriebsfähige 555.3008, eine modernisierte Kriegslok der Baureihe 52, welche von den dortigen Eisenbahnfreunden mit Enthusiasmus und Arbeitseifer wieder hergerichtet wurde. Eine weitere Rarität ist der Turmtriebwagen für den Gütereilverkehr M140.101 von Tatra Nesselsdorf, Baujahr 1928 - leider hat ihn die Abstellung im Freien zugesetzt und es verliert seine Farbe. Eine Beschreibung der Fahrzeuge findet man übrigens auf der Internetseite des Museums.

Preis ist auch in Ordnung 3 Euro pro Person, es ist halt nicht gerade groß aber da wir eine Stadtführerin hatten wurde uns sehr viel erklärt und erzählt.

Атмосферный музей, много достойных экспонатов. Хорошая коллекция старинных мотоциклов авто и велосипедов. Музей находится в здании бывшего железнодорожного депо, есть несколько поездов и вагонов. На улице выставлены образцы грузовой и служебной техники.
It is an excellent museum with a lot of good cars but they are all grouped together without much space between them. So it is hard to get a good photograph without including partial parts of other cars.
There are a few trains as well but you are not allowed walk between the trains on the ground. So could not get some good snaps of the trains as well.

This palace is the most opulent palace in Bratislava. The rooms are beautifully done and it would be a great experience if you could attend an event in the Hall of Mirrors (pic attached).

Good museum in beautiful building - old town hall. Now not used for this purpose anymore. One of the best museums in Bratislava and Slovakia as well. They have a lot of artifacts from each part of life - kitchenware, old bicycles, glassware,clothes, official documents, beauty tools, money, bottles, maps, pictures of Bratislava from centuries ago and many more. Really a lot to see. Basically you can spend hours there. Entrance to tower is including in ticket. From there you can see historical city center and. During our visits they had also temporary exhibition of 60's in Bratislava with authentic pictures and items. Even though I don't remember that decade it was cool to see those things that many of us could see in parents or grandparents houses in the past.

We went there and we were alone! I don't know why people are missing out on this gem. It isn't even expensive. Around 2-4 bucks per person
Veľmi mile prekvapilo svojou výstavnou zbierkou Múzeum dopravy. Na svoje si prídu najmenší ale aj dospelí. Výborné miesto na trávenie voľného času za účelom poznávania. Dostatok sprievodných textov na čítanie a dokonca aj lektor v odeve námorníka rozprávajúci o riečnej doprave na rieke Dunaj. Odporúčam.
Technologické múzeum dopravy v Bratislave. Pekná expozícia. Určite sa oplatí ísť si pozrieť s deťmi. Sú tam i exponáty z BAZ (Bratislavské automobilové závody).
Amazing exposition and very detailed and interesting descriptions + beautiful objects exposed, I would recommend everyone to give it a go! Very cool interactive parts to write medieval charts and paint on them + to follow the architectural changes in the Town Hall through centuries. Just so cool!
An interesting museum of road transport in Bratislava, railway transport in Slovakia, and maritime transport on Danube. There was also a lot of historical information about transport in Czechoslovakia. Conveniently, all signs are in both Slovak and English. There are some spaces for kids to play. The only thing that I missed is Bratislava trams.

Waren beim Rendez 2023. Eine wirklich tolle Veranstaltung. Es gab sehr viel zu sehen. Fast alle Bahnen waren in tollen Zustand. Wir kommen sicher wieder!
Sehr schönes Museum wenn man sich für Verkehrstechnik interessiert. Unmittelbar nahe dem Hauptbahnhof gelegen. 8€ Eintritt ist EU konform und wenigstens ist hier das Geld gut angelegt! Personal ist - wie eigentlich überall in der Slowakei- sehr freundlich.

Tolle Züge, hätte gern mehr dazu erfahren. Leider nur mit Anmeldungen möglich. Spontan ist leider hier nicht möglich. Schlecht ausgeschildert. Schade eigentlich.
Ist gut gelegen, sind jedoch leider nicht hinein gegangen, da es drumrum soviel mehr zu sehen gab. Aber Bratislava ist echt ne Reise wert! Insbesondere mit Kindern

Die Zufahrt an den Schrebergärten vorbei bis zum Ende folgen, kommt man durch das Tor auf einen freien Parkplatz, von da aus kann man frei im Gelände die Fahrzeuge besichtigen.
An der Kurve der Hauptstraße Dopravná 3-1 steht auch ein Schild, wo man abbiegen muss.

Den ersten Mittwoch im Monat kann man perfekt nutzen und hier ins Museum gehen. Es ist wirklich hübsch gemacht. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und es gibt einige schön Ausstellungsstücke. Man fühlt sich ein wenig in der Zeit versetzt noch vor 1990. schade ist, dass es mit 7,- regulärem Eintrittspreis schon etwas teuer ist und das es nichts zum Mittmachen oder bewegen für Kinder gibt. Hinten gibt es allerdings eine Spielecke für die kleinen.
Nicht groß … 7€ Eintritt für Erwachsene . Dafür bekommt man tolle Autos zu sehen .
Es war zwar kostenloser Eintritt, aber keine Information und auch keine Erklärung zu den ausgestellten Stücken. Unter "Museum" versteht man definitiv was anderes.
Das Primatialpalais oder auch "Palais des Primas" genannt aus dem 18. Jahrhundert ist Zeuge der Unterzeichnung des Friedens von Preßburg...Ein wunderschönes Gebäude wo sich ein Besuch immer lohnt...
Wir waren heute dort und sind positiv überrascht. Viele interessante Ausstellungsstücke! Auf jeden ein Besuch wert. Sehr nettes Personal.

Ein tolles Eisenbahnmuseum für Freunde der Eisenbahn mit funktionsfähiger Drehscheibe.ein Besuch bei Veranstaltungen mit Dampfzügen besonders zu empfehlen. Leider stehen noch viele Eisenbahnfahrzeuge ,welche dahin rosten und au Renovierung warten.
Das Rathaus wurde in den Jahrhunderten ständig durch Anbauten vergrößert und hat einen sehr schönen Innenhof. In unmittelbarer Nähe liegt der Primatialpalais.
Hauptsächlich eine Sammlung von diversen Autos und Motorrädern, ein schöner Teil Eisenbahngeschichte. Alle Beschreibungen in Slowakisch.
Auch wenn noch viel getan werden muss oder sollte, sehr gut.
The garden of Waterworks museum is excellent done, with many utilities for children of various age. The museum includes exhibitions of the history of Bratislava's water supplying.
Sehr nett - schönes Ausflugsziel mit Kindern. Das Museum besteht aus einer Halle in denen Oldtimer und einige Motorräder und Bahntechnik gezeigt werden. Verlässt man die Halle steht man auf einem Bahnsteig vor dem noch einmal Züge stehen. In einer zweiten Halle kann man Lastkraftwagen und Schiffsmodelle besichtigen. Der allergrößte Teil der Ausstellung ist Fahrzeugen aus tschechischer und slowakischer Produktion gewidmet, das macht es interessant, da man die sonst selten zu sehen kriegt. In einem Nebenraum der zweiten Halle befindet sich ein Recht großzügiger Spielraum für Kinder. Benachbart zum Museum ist der Hauptbahnhof, so das Bahnbegeisterte ganz auf ihre Kosten kommen.
Sehr gepflegte Parkanlagen. Ruhig, da kann man die Seele baumeln lassen
