In July 2023 , I left a bag with my wallet and spare phone on the ticketing counter upon arrival from the airport
Rushing back to the station after realising it 2 stops away , I found the officer taking pictures of my belongings for documentation
I got everything back .. my holidays was saved from the very first day

Beautiful off the grid train station that marks the end of the death railway from Kanchanaburi. From here bus drivers will offer to take you to different waterfalls or caves. There’s also a couple of small restaurants around the train station area. If you came here by the death railway you can wait 20-30 minutes and then the train goes back to Kanchanaburi again
I did a thorough review of the connection between the airport lane and the BTS Phaya Thai stations. Overall, it is an extremely simple process. You simply disembark your train and head downstairs. You will then cross the platform where there are many restaurants and coffee shops at lying the walkway. 100 meters or so you come across the ticket line for BTS skytrain. Overall, the process is extremely simple, but it is a bit of a hassle that you have to get a new ticket and that the sky trains do not use the sound system. However, if you’re looking for a direct route to the airport this is the best option
Airport Rail Link and BTS. Plus a railway station at ground level (local and commuter trains)

A well maintained clean bts train station, Easy to buy tickets in vending machine & counters. A few coffee, supermarkets available in station.
Thb 100 tourist price for 1 way ticket from Kanchanaburi (last stop Nam Tok also same price)

A year ago i've lost my phone on a train from Kanchanaburi, it's the famous touristic train which goes over the river Kwai and looks very authentic and old etc. We've found the phone by "find my device" option and saw it going back to Kanchanaburi through mountains. Then we've found a taxi driver to whom we explained our situation somehow using very bad google translation from english/russian to thai and back. Luckily, he had a fellow conductor on that train to whom he phoned, and then he explained to us that my phone has been found and now he'll drive us to my phone. While rushing to overtake the train we tried to communicate, during which he gave me a dead butterfly and taught me to pronounce the word "God" in Thai. When we reached the station I finally reunited with my phone, gave the driver 400 bat and watched him smokin weed to relax. Such a wholesome experience.
A must see place replete with sad and tragic stories. Many people died there because of tough working conditions, heat and diseases such as malaria. We walked on the railway for 10 minutes before our train arrived at the Thamkra Sae station.
If you know where you are going in Bangkok this is the smartest, quickest and cheapest way to travel to the city from the airport. Less than 30 mins to Phaya Thai station in air conditioned comfort for 45B. Phaya Thai station links directly to the MRT ... down one level. A taxi / Grab or Limo will be longer and around 1200 - 1500B.

Clean well maintained train station. The bridge is a great location for some photograpy of the zooming cars and bikes

It's a very beautiful place. The old train along the mountains. The train had a stunning view of the river underneath. Before the train was there, you were free to walk along the railroad and take pictures. There were many people there. There was a cave and inside there was a Buddha statue there and you can go inside to pray. The temperature in the cave was quite lower than the temperature outside. From the train station, we catch the train to the bridge over river Kwai. The ride was awesome. It was a fun experience to go there, see the beautiful view and take a train ride

Impressive bridge of the railway which is still used. Very nice to walk around and to visit Buddha in the nearby cage. On the way from the parking lot are many restaurants and small shops.

Fijn deze buitenwijk te bezoeken. Binnen 10 minuten ben je er vanaf BKK airport. Heb je een overstap dan is het fijn even buiten te wandelen.

Einfacher Bahnhof. Es gibt einige Restaurants in der Umgebung und einen kleinen Shop für Getränke und Snacks. Die Fahrkarten können 30min vor der Abfahrt gekauft werden. Toiletten kosten 3 Baht. Wenn der Zug die Endstation erreicht stehen diverse Taxianbieter zur Verfügung. Wenn möglich würde ich jedoch einen Transfer von ihrem Guesthouse organisieren lassen da sie sonst viel zu viel bezahlen.

Saubere U Bahn Station
Wenn einem nostalgische Eisenbahn interessiert ist es zu empfehlen.
Eigentlich fahre ich gerne Eisenbahn in Thailand, aber das auch hier die zwei Preis Politik angewendet wird ist schon traurig. Nam Tok - Kanchanaburi für Farang 100฿, meine Thai Frau 17฿. Für den Touristen Zug am Sonntag hätte ich gerne für uns beide mehr bezahlt, aber nicht bei einem ganz normalen.
So spektakulär, wie der Mythos Death Railway ausgeschlachtet wird, ist es bei weitem nicht. Besser die Brücken mit Auto oder Bike anfahren.

We loved the way the international passengers were treated by the airport staff and officers right from the Check-in to the security check, emigration and Customs check. If you have nothing to declare it takes hardly 15 minutes to get all clearances done. Efficiency is highest and the politeness of the staff is much more wonderful at Suvarnabhumi international airport.
Wunderschöne Strecke und fährt bis nach Bangkok rein und natürlich diverse andere Stationen ab.
Es gibt auch keine verschiedenen Klassen (so wie in einigen Reiseführern beschrieben) sondern nur Holzklasse (3 Klasse) zum günstigen Preis von 100 Baht. In Deutschland kommt man für 3€ nicht mal ins nächste Dorf oder Stadt, hier fährt man einige 100km durch malerische Landschaften. Der Zug ist natürlich sehr spartinisch, ich empfehle jedem vorher aufs Klo zu gehen :-D.
Sehr häufig steigen Straßenhändler ein und verkaufen alles mögliche zu futtern und zu trinken zu sehr günstigen Preisen.
Insgesamt eine sehr schöne Zugfahrt und genau das richtige wenn man einen Thailand Backpackertrip macht.

Startpunkt für die Bahnfahrt von Namtok nach Kanchanaburi mit dem "Todeszug". Vor allem das letzte Drittel ist spektakulär, wenn die Fahrt entlang des Flusses über abenteuerliche Stelzenbrücken und zum Schluss über die "Brücke am Kwai" in Kanchanaburi geht. Sitzplatz in Fahrtrichtung rechts im ersten Waggon sichern, dann hat man die beste Aussicht!

Endstation der Bahnstrecke Bangkok -> Kanchanaburi -> Nam Tok. Wir haben Nam Tok schon des Öfteren besucht und können behaupten: "Es gibt dort immer wieder neues zu entdecken." * Besonders zu empfehlen sind in unmittelbarer Nähe ein Besuch des Namtok Sai Yok Noi (Wasserfall), des Hellfire Passes mit zugehörigem Museum und der Straßenmarkt am Wasserfall. * Tipp: Empfehlenswert ist es, hier eine Übernachtung auf einer der vielen Hausbootanlagen einzulegen, die auf dem Khwae Noi vertäut liegen. - Empfehlenswert deshalb, weil das Flusswasser hier oben noch relativ sauber ist, weil man hier auf den Raftinghouses nicht allzu viele Touristen antrifft und nicht zuletzt, weil hier alles inmitten wunderschöner Natur liegt.
Endstation der Eisenbahn. Man kann zum Wasserfall laufen oder sich per Minivan fahren lassen.
