The New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx is an absolute five-star treasure, especially during their orchid exhibit. Walking through those lush, colorful displays of orchids is like stepping into a floral wonderland.

The garden itself is a serene oasis in the heart of the bustling city, providing a perfect escape into nature. It's not just a garden; it's a living museum, a place where art and science collide beautifully.

The orchid exhibit, in particular, is a breathtaking experience. The sheer variety and vibrant colors of these delicate blooms are nothing short of awe-inspiring. Whether you're a seasoned botanist or just someone who appreciates the beauty of flowers, it's an enchanting journey.

But it's not just about pretty flowers; it's also about education and conservation. The New York Botanical Garden is at the forefront of research and preservation efforts, making it an essential institution for the planet's well-being.

So, whether you're a nature enthusiast, a couple looking for a romantic date, or a family with curious kids, this place has something for everyone. It's a sanctuary of beauty, knowledge, and tranquility right in the heart of the Bronx. Five stars for this incredible botanical gem and its captivating orchid exhibit!
Such a beautiful oasis. Definitely worth walking the grounds here and paying extra to see the Haupt Conservatory greenhouse. Inside are so many different kinds of plants, trees, cacti, etc.
For food/drinks, Pine Tree Cafe had good food options and lattes for a decent price. Hudson Garden Grill is more for a fancier (and pricier) experience if you are looking for that.
The United States Botanic Garden is an absolute gem in the heart of Washington, D.C. This lush oasis offers a tranquil escape from the bustling city streets. The meticulously maintained gardens showcase an incredible variety of plant life from around the world. Whether you're a botany enthusiast or simply looking for a peaceful stroll, this place has something for everyone. The Conservatory is a highlight, with its stunning array of exotic plants and seasonal displays. The outdoor gardens, including the Rose Garden and National Garden, are equally captivating. The knowledgeable staff are always ready to answer questions and share their passion for horticulture. It's a must-visit destination for nature lovers and a testament to the beauty of the natural world.
Beautifully rich and totally free! Great for families with kids, couples, and friends. The staff is friendly and professional and the place is the home to so many different plants by recreating his habitat which is amazing. From tropical to desert, there is a huge range of plants to admire. Each room is unique. Interactive areas are also well built and informative. No ticket required, it's free - just walk in.Very nice place for everyone to have access to!
All I can say is that I regret not going when the roses were in full bloom. I can only imagine how beautiful this garden must’ve been.
Although we went during the weekend, the garden was not very busy and we enjoyed our walk around it. Beautiful garden!🌷
This is one of the most massive botanical gardens we have ever visited. Our approach was to go through the greenhouse first, then the library building, and finally the tram ride. There are stops along the tram ride, but we were running out of time. You should plan to spend at least 2-5 hours there to properly see the gardens. There is plenty to see on multiple trips and at different times of the year.
I am not a plant person, let’s be honest here. My wife loves plants and flowers. So I made sure we made a stop here. It is beautiful. They have displays inside and out. Definitely worth taking a couple of hours and looking around. Plus it is free. The orchids are beautiful.
Had a beautiful time here! I would go during the Spring where there's probably more live herbs and plantlife, but there was still a lot to see when I went end of Aug. Beautiful scenery and lot of photo opportunities! Would recommend!
Great place to visit with gorgeous flowers and trees. Easy to walk around and they also have a tram that will take you to key locations within the garden while telling you about the history of the place. Staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Buildings are well maintained. Worth the trek up to the Bronx to enjoy the plant life and serenity.
This garden in the museum row is fabulous. Tons of plants and trees that are unique. Many I've never seen before. Lots of cool features in this garden. The paths around the gardens are great.

Highly recommend coming here even if it's just for 45 min.

5/5.

I stopped by this lovely Botanical Gardens after visiting The Capitol earlier in the day. I went during a busy extended 4th of July weekend, and I was amazed that this place wasn't too crowded, and I didn't have to wait to enter in spite of the free admission. The place is beautiful, well maintained and relaxing and suitable for all ages regardless if you like plants and flowers. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about all the species that they have in the greenhouse. This is definitely a must-see while visiting the DC area.
Beautiful and amazing places to see. We went in the summer time... Would love to visit in the spring. The orchid exhibit is stunning as well as the desert exhibit... Both inside the conservatory. Outside in the gardens, the rise garden was gorgeous and lots of places to sit and enjoy the fountains and flowers.
What a little treasure in the East Village. This is the perfect place to hide from the busy whir of the city. Bring a drink and a book and sit in the tiny gazebo hidden by lush greenery or in the "treehouse" with its lovely seating. Or just hang out on one of the benches or chairs around the delightful garden that is sure to attract faeries of all ages. Open hours may differ slightly from those listed. I went on a Monday at 6pm, as I was just passing by and was surprised to see the gate open...even though they list Mondays as closed.

Nur guided tours, zu festen Zeiten, hätten 45 Minuten warten müssen. War es uns nicht wert und sind gegangen.
