I’ll be honest this my first experience with a tutoring company and it has been the worst!
Office Administrator Abby completely unprofessional, condescending, and snarky remarks from her half.
Called to clarify a concern with incorrect voice and missed invoice along with why session was canceled. And was received with attitude and unwillingness to speak as an adult. Instead receive remarks such “if you would have just used your common sense” and “just be logical” when asked about billing and missed invoices? Why?!? What was the need.
Mistakes made on her behalf were not owned up to and also she also remarked “if moneys an issue you should say that” in the snarkiest way. 🤌🏽 for what? Money isn’t a concern, but that doesn’t mean one shouldn’t question things that are incorrect or pay for sessions that were done idk about you but I’m not paying for something I didn’t use or wasn’t provided 🤷🏽♂️.
Ms. Rebeca the tutor was fine, no problems at all and provided feedback at the end of session.
BUT the office 💀 especially when they’re handling front desk, scheduling and accounts receivable roles yeah that’s a no go for me

I knew it was going to be an issue when she sent me over someone else’s invoice with their personal information. Other than that the tutor session with Rebecca was great and she explained everything very well. Professionalism goes a long way for a business.

David Sommers was an amazing resource and guide for my GRE exam. Not only is it clear that he has an exceptional knowledge base, but he has a very solid educational foundation which made it very easy to pick up concepts and vocabulary. He was very kind yet also realistic. I never felt stressed out but I also was able to comfortably push myself with his work load.

I have enjoyed studying Spanish for the last 4 years with Ms. Miriam at NovaLingua Academy. As an instructor, Ms. Miriam prepares lessons that are both interesting and challenging. She teaches with patience and support and is always encouraging. I feel that I have grown in my language skills and have utilized what I've learned when visiting Spanish speaking countries. I highly recommend Nova Lingua Academy for its affordability and for the quality of the lessons.

I took Spanish in middle school, then switched to other languages in high school and college. After travelling to a few Latin American countries for vacation, I realized I was closest to conversational in Spanish, so I decided to take private lessons with NovaLingua Academy to try to reach that point. I have learned so much in the last two years, a lot of which is excellent grammatical foundation so I can at least operate in different tenses and say what I want/need to say. The teachers are all native speakers, and a few of them are siblings, which is great because it means they already work well with each other.
They've really help me come a long way from where I started, and I highly recommend them. Classes will have the usual complex grammar discussions, yes, but they will also be about reading classic stories (which helps strengthen reading and vocab) and writing about and discussing interesting topics (which strengthens writing and speaking). The great thing is there is a lot of flexibility in what and how you learn, so if you'd rather read about something else, you can, which I don't know about others but it keeps be engaged.
They are patient and helpful when it comes to correcting me and helping me through sentences. If you're interested in learning a new language, NovaLingua is a great place to start.

I learned so much more than the school system in Maryland if I’m being honest. Thank you Novalingua!

I am the parents of 2 sons who have used advantage testing in DC for college and law school prep. I would highly recommend Josh Kaplan who has incredible patience and impeccable credentials. We have maintained a very long working relationship and friendship with Josh. Its an investment well worth it many times over.

Josh helped my son with both the SAT and his college admission process. Both services were invaluable. Josh knows the SAT inside and out and was of great assistance getting my son more comfortable with taking the test. And Josh's skills with college applications, especially the writing of the personal essay, were impeccable. I'd recommend him to anyone!

I highly recommend Advantage Testing and their high-quality tutors. My two sons worked with David Sommers, who is extremely smart but also excellent at building rapport and motivating high school students. My sons always enjoyed their sessions with David and had strong performance on their standardized tests. I have referred David to many friends and cannot recommend him highly enough.

I highly recommend Advantage Testing for assistance with any test prep needs, but particularly for standardized test prep! I had the pleasure of working with Joshua Kaplan and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Josh is smart, patient, and takes a thoughtful approach on how to best help students achieve their goals.

Advantage Testing DC offers top notch tutoring for standardized tests and academic classes. The material they provide and practice testing they offer make a big impact. 2 of my children worked with David Sommers and both had outstanding results. He is extremely professional, a great communicator, patient, but serious, and has high expectations. My boys learned a ton from his disciplined and methodical approach. Highly recommend!!

David is an excellent tutor and helped both of my children achieve the scores they wanted on their standardized tests. They loved working with him - he's patient, engaging and intelligent. I can't recommend Advantage highly enough - worth every penny!
