Tolles und sehr großes und sehr schönes Museum, und das KOSTENLOS !👍. An einem verregneten Tag genau das richtige um den Tag zu verbringen. Auf 3 Etagen findet man alles wissenswertes. Man braucht einiges an Zeit um alles zu sehen. Schaut es euch an, wenn ihr da seit. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.
Ein Muss wenn es um Amerikanische Geschichte geht, von Präsidenten über TV-Sternchen bis zu dem traurigen Kapitel der diversenKriege, ist hier alles sehr gut und anschauliche beschrieben. Der Eintritt ist kostenfrei und wir mussten auch nicht warten. Einzig die „Kantine“ im Keller sollte man meiden.
You could easily spend a day here if you wanted to take it ALL in. Very nicely done and covers much (if not ALL) of what has made America. It was very informative, interesting and fun. Great for a family and free admission. Close to the metro station (Smithsonian Stop).
This museum is like Louvre on steroids. Not one Monet but 50. Not 10 Picassos but 100. Great selection of American modern art. I was highly surprised by the quality of the works presented as well as by the sheer size of the place. I recommend at least 4 hours to visit. The best part - it is free!

동관은 스킵하려고 했는데
그랬다면 진짜 많은것을 놓쳤을듯
서관 센터에도 카페가 있으나 그다지.
동관으로 연결되는 지하1층에 카페가 훨씬 더 크고 또 좀 더 다양한 먹거리들이 있음

強力推薦美國國家藝術館，裡面展品豐富且空間設置舒適，有兩個讓人休憩的花園採光很好，有好幾個餐廳讓人飲食歇息，價格也合理。免費且不需要預約，直接走進去就行了，平日人不多，可以慢慢欣賞。西館是主要展覽區，多數藝術品都在這裡，底層有個連通道可以前往東館。
I don't think it is possible to convey how much incredible art exists in this museum through a simple review.
My best advice when attending: listen to the museum staff who give you a map and make suggestions on what to see. Explore your way to those suggestions and you'll find so many amazing pieces. Give yourself lots of time.

Wonderful and informative museum filled with every aspect of American history. View trains and automobiles from the past or key figures from American films, to old technology and gadgets that evoke nostalgia. Another museum that you can spend hours in easily. Highly recommended for the family and solo visitors alike. There's something for everyone.
The National Gallery of Art in D.C. is a fantastic spot for art lovers. They've got a diverse collection from different times and cool architecture. The best part? It's free to get in! Great place to explore and learn about art.
This is a very popular, free to the public, Smithsonian museum. Timed tickets are required for entry but easy to acquire online. You can easily spend the whole day here exploring all the exhibits. Half of the museum is closed for renovations right now. What is accessible is interesting, well maintained, and well displayed. Navigating the museum is fairly simple and easy. There's a cafe on-site with food options. There's also a gift shop with many fun items. Don't forget to buy and try some freezed dried ice cream; I remembered this as a child. There's also a planetarium on-site offering movies for a fee. We watched "Worlds Beyond Earth". I thought it was educational and worth the experience. There's 2 levels of exhibits and a lower small one operating the Mars Cafe, gift shop, and restrooms. This museum is educational and fun for the whole family to enjoy.
Incredible museum. This was so well done and captured the history and the culture so well, very immersive experience. There is so much information I recommend either a full day or going for a few hours two days in a row to truly absorb it all. It was very crowded, but people were polite so easy to navigate through. You need to get tickets in advance - they book fast so make sure to secure your tickets weeks ahead of time.
This art gallery is fantastic. The sculptures are top notch and the variety is huge. The architecture here is very nice. We witnessed a lady painting while we were there.
There are interactive screens for kids too. A beautiful tunnel with neat lights on a flat conveyor belt. The food court features a unique water feature which you can see outside and inside.
This gallery is highly recommended, especially if you are any sort of history lover.

The visit to this historic museum was very emotional yet amazing to discover more about the history of the slave trade. Well designed. I cried a few times. I could get through the full exhibit and I will be going back. Must visit. Thank God we’re free now.
We heard the lines were long, but we came on a Friday during school season and the line was nothing. This is a piece of American history I believe every patriot should see.
Things you should know:

The exhibit was very interesting and cool. The best area was probably the one with all the cars and motorcycles. I enjoyed all of it. Although the gift shop was a little overpriced, the museum was still great.
I cannot say enough about how moving this museum was. The detail was overwhelming. My students said this was the best Smithsonian we visited and I agree. It is a story of triumph in the face of inhumanity. It is a MUST visit. Sweet Home Cafe serves amazing food. Well worth eating there.
Un lugar fantástico y conmovedor, puedes ver por todo lo que se ha pasado para crear este único, hermoso y maravilloso gran país. Que en muy pocos años ha logrado una grandeza y esplendor. Gracias a la cooperación de magníficas personas de diferentes lugares, lograron un país tan único y grande como lo son los Estados Unidos de América. Puedes ver los momentos importantes para lograr la fundación de este increíble país. Los presidentes que lo han formado, sus más importantes inventos y aportaciones a la humanidad, así como también conocer a las personas que aportaron artísticamente y enriquecieron culturalmente a esta gran nación. Es conmovedor este museo y si quieres conocer más a fondo este país, no puedes dejar de visitar este lugar!!!
Stopped by about 1.5 hrs before closing. If I knew the top floor had such neat design I would've started from the top and worked my way down! I really enjoyed all the landscape paintings.
This is a cool museum in the national mall to look at some old historical documents. While you can't really take pictures while inside, the experience was really cool. We especially loved the chance to see the Declaration of Independence. That document is very faded, by the way. Thank goodness we've made copies!
The entrance is free but it requires a reservation for a timed pass. It does not allow for an early entry. On a hot summer day, it was no fun standing in a line outside the museum for almost 20 minutes until been letting in.

Plan on spending a good part of your day here. You can spend hours reading everything .
Because it’s very interactive I found it to be interesting and fun at the same time. I believe it’s great for all age groups.
I didn’t go super early, 11:30 am I had no wait at all. I was expecting the museum to be packed for August .

Amerika tarihini her yönü ile görme şansınız olan bir müze 3 katlı , doğu, batı kanadı olarak ayrı ayrı geziyorsunuz her katta farklı bir tarih mevcut. Washington da gezilecek yerler listenizi başlarında olmalı. Hakkını vererek gezmek isterseniz en az 4-5 saatinizi ayırmanın gerekiyor. Gift shop da hatıra alabilirsiniz. Ücretsiz.
This is a massive museum giving most of us African Americans our history that has been lost leaving us left with a void in our lives. Very emotional walking in learning that we come from rich, vast, and intelligent civilizations. If you go you must start early or plan to go a few days at a time because you won't be able to cover it all in one day. I absolutely loved every minute of it.
Excellent, worth trying for 5 years to get tickets.
