It is a lovely park with multiple good views of Manhattan. All boat services are closed in the winter, and there are virtually no people on a cold day. You can walk down from the 911 monument along the bank down to the big park and have a great view of the Statue of Liberty.
I've lived this park for almost 10 years now.... nice place to visit... simply just walk around, take pics and EAT. Beautiful and Scenic spaces to enjoy a great meal and some creatively delicious drinks
This is a really beautiful place to visit. Take the whole tour: Ellis Island, Liberty instant, and New Jersey's liberty park. Great views and the Empty Sky memorial is a wonderful tribute to September 11th.
Fabulous park with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty. The park is spacious with lots of grass and a boardwalk. It also has a very nice children’s playground. There are picnic tables and lots of benches. And it’s never crowded. A hidden gem.
This is a very large state park with beautiful views of the NYC skyline by day or night! You also get a great view of lady liberty herself. Ample parking and great signage to navigate around since it is so large. Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island ferriesleave from here. Be aware that you need to leave ample time to pass through security when the season is busy!!
I stopped there on my way to Washington Because i really missed new York and i didn't have time to stop in the city. Its a very nice park and probably the best view of the city. You can also see the statue of Liberty very well from there. Also u can basically see everything that new York has (empire State building, one world trade center) and if you have very good eyes you can even see the Brooklyn bridge. If you are passing through and need a place to rest i recommend that park . You will need to pay a toll if you're a tourist so be prepared. But it's worth it in my opinion It's a very nice park
Didn't know this park existed until recently. Large open area for viewing the New York City skyline and harbour, close to the Statue of Liberty. There was a marathon happening when I came on a Sunday. Large parking lot and restrooms are available. Worth a visit if you're in the area
