Disappointing Experience - Unmet Expectations and Poor Communication
Our experience at the property was disappointing from the start. Upon arrival, we were met with an unbearably cold apartment, registering only 9 degrees Celsius. Despite the assurance that the temperature would improve, it remained uncomfortably low. Even after 45 minutes, the temperature only increased by one degree, reaching 10 degrees Celsius, adding to our discomfort.
The missing extra bed, which we had prearranged, further compounded our disappointment.
The alternative accommodation offered did not align with our initial reservation. Given our unsuccessful attempts to contact the owner and address the existing issues, we made the decision to seek another place where our concerns would be taken seriously and promptly addressed.
The lack of responsiveness and failure to address our concerns led us to seek alternative accommodation, resulting in a disappointing and inconvenient experience that did not meet our expectations. We had hoped for a comfortable stay but unfortunately faced unmet promises, inadequate communication, and unresolved issues, leading us to seek a refund for the unfulfilled reservation.
Upon returning to our country, we received an email from the owner offering the return of the deposit and tourist tax, which was expected as we didn't stay there and could not possibly have caused any damage. Additionally, they offered a discount for a future booking, an impractical proposal considering our dissatisfaction and lack of intent to revisit the property. When we expressed our preference for a refund due to the unsatisfactory experience, the owner chose to ignore our request, showing a lack of empathy and concern. Subsequently, we never heard back from them, which was disappointing and only added to the overall dissatisfaction with the situation.
