Very enjoyable curry, tasted really good and had plenty of nicely cut pieces of chicken. Tasted so good I overate and then had a food coma. Highly recommend the food here.

From the warm welcome in a warm restaurant to the delicious food served superbly by a friendly and helpful waiter (a real asset to your company), our table of 10 thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The dishes were shared and all agreed were excellent - up there with the best in town. We are united in the view that it rated 10 out of 10 in every aspect. Thank you - we will be back.

We were a group of 9 who turned up at short notice on a Friday night. Himalayas was very accommodating and the food was excellent and great service. I'd definitely recommend as one of the better curry places in town as they kadhai chicken was delicious!

Best Indian food around! I’ve lived in Christchurch forever and used to work for an Indian restaurant and I’ve not found somewhere with better, more reliable Indian food than Himalayas. It’s my go to for catch ups with friends. The staff are super friendly and professional, too. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a good regular place.

Credit where its due here!! I ordered a delivery this evening, and it was divine! Hot, fresh, and tasty. I will definitely try dining in next time for the full experience. The cheesy garlic naan was the best nan I've ever had. Would recommend this place highly.

It's been a while since we have had a good Indian and we were so glad we dined here.
The service was so friendly and they even customised a tandoori platter to start which, the lamb chops melted in the mouth with taste.
Had the Lamb Rogan josh for main, medium to hot which was perfectly cooked and so tasty, hats off to the chef.
Highly recommended if you enjoy a great tasting Indian food.
Bonus they are BYO wine as well.

DELICIOUS!!! Throughly enjoyed our experience here. The man who waited us was so lovely and kind— the food took a little while to come out, but we weren’t in any particular rush and he was sweet about it. The food itself was yummy and filling. The spice levels are true to taste, I got it at medium spicy and it had the perfect kick. Portions were generous. The restaurant was busy with take out orders on top of dine in customers, showing the popularity! Would come again and recommend to others.
