Beautiful meditative spot to enjoy the sea.
Unmissable view at Caniço. Great place to sit and relax and have a chill.
A number of tourist hotels along this stretch of dramatic, volcanic coast. Beach is mostly large rocks though a nearby diving school and windsurfers use it. Footpath/promenade without shops or bars runs for about a mile. Small shops, bars and restaurants back from the seafront. Larger shops in Canico can be reached on foot but, due to the very steep hill, it is worth the €1.30 bus ride.
If you are in the area this is a nice place to stop. Watch out though, we got attacked by birds
