Dropped in for a cheeky pizza on Tuesday evening after a night out at the Roundhouse watching a live music show. Received a warm greeting from staff and was made to feel welcome in the establishment itself. Selected the Donner Pizza off the menu; preparation area, surfaces etc appeared clean and hygienic. Portion control of toppings on my pizza seemed reasonable for a small pizza. Regrettably what initially looked to be a promising meal became a genuine disappointment when it arrived. The pizza appeared to be overcooked having spent too long in the oven as the toppings and cheese were burnt. In addition to this the pizza base was still doughy in texture and didn't seem properly baked through. This outcome is generally due to an oven set at the wrong operating temperature or being place on the incorrect shelf in the appliance. I did raise my concerns with the staff who assured me the pizza was fine when a freshly cooked substitute should have been offered. After the second slice the pizza box and its remaining contents wound up in the bin outside. Genuinely disappointed.
