Very beautiful palace and super large garden, palace entrance is 14 Euros per adult and free for kids, garden entrance is free. You can have a picnic in the garden (please do not walk on the grass as advised). Parking available at a nearby carpark.
Wonderful experience. A wonderful castle that is surrounded by wonderful nature. You feel like you are in the 18th, 19th century. The ticket prices are acceptable, and you can see a lot from the life of Napoleon.
What a fantastic chateau to experience. The gorgeous rooms where King Louis III was born, the Marie Antoinette bed that she never got to sleep in, the amazing halls and chambers of over 800 years of France’s kings and queens who lived there. I enjoyed it much more than Versailles and easily spent in half a day. Unfortunately more than half of the buildings were closed and the Musée Chinoise was not open and the Golden Gate was under renovation.
There is a phenomenal amount to take in, inside - the weather was not good so kissed a lot of the gardens, but there is a lot to see there too. An amazing place to be honest - a real slice of history.
This is a place that I wanted to visit for a long time. It was up to my expectations as it shows proof of the french emperor who won a battle for my country during the french possessed my island. It is a very inspirational and educational castle to visit, and I recommend it highly for those who are passionate about history.
