Must see when in Bath! Expect to spend at least 1.5 hours to fully explore and use available audio guide. You can explore at your leisure and take pictures. Very interesting and informative about the history of the Roman Baths. Staff in period costume are around that can answer questions if you have any about the baths. Go early in the day to avoid crowds. Can purchase tickets beforehand or at the entrance. Very enjoyable experience. Highly recommend a visit. 🙂
Brilliant experience if you’re visiting Bath! There are free audio guides that you can take with you which were great for interesting facts along the way.
In an easy, central location and the queuing system is very organised and quick. Site is well maintained and took about 1.5 hours to get through. Booked a 10am slot and it wasn’t busy at all but as you go through the inner exhibition parts, it can get quite cramped and slow.

This is a great place to visit. Full of history and information. It is accessible friendly. My wife managed to explore the baths in her mobility scooter. There are lifts down to the baths and shop. They also have wheelchairs that you can use if you want. All the staff we interacted with were friendly. You won't be disappointed.
Plan to park far away if you are driving. The walk is beautiful too, just plan ahead.
The baths are amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the ancient construction and building. A peer into 2000 years ago. Baths still bubbling to this day. I highly recommend this stroll through the ancient Roman pastime located in the UK.
Next time, I would opt for the digital tour and booklet for additional info.
I really appreciated the virtual reconstruction of the excavated areas. Those were neat to see alongside the old walkways, pillars, and rooms!!
The baths are amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the ancient construction and building. A peer into 2000 years ago. Baths still bubbling to this day. I highly recommend this stroll through the ancient Roman pastime located in the UK.

Great experience, very informative! Make sure you get the listening device as it tells you the story along the exhibition. They also have employee dress up like Roman citizens and perform work near the bath, you can talk to them and ask questions. We also tried bar next to bath pool they offers original honey wine. It was an interesting drink. It can get crowded as the walking spaces are small but be patient, it’s worth it.
So much more to see and know than just the green bath as in the pictures.
It's very easy to locate, definitely recommend buying tickets online which includes the audio guide. We went for the earliest slot at 9am as we were told the crowds start to pour in closer to 10am onwards.
We wanted to get good pictures near the bath without a lot of people so we passed all the exhibits and directly downstairs to the bath. It's very well maintained and on a sunny day, looks absolutely picturesque. Once we finished this we headed all the way back to the start of the exhibit (at the terrace).
The audio guide was very interesting and informative. Lots of history about the Romans, their time in bath, the society back then and how they built the bath and the temple. It was very interesting to see the water from the hot spring still emmiting steam. The closer you get to this, you'll smell the mineral rich water almost immediately.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our visit, got good pictures without the crowd and observed the exhibits, took us about an hour and a half.

Such a stunning place! I enjoyed everything about our visit here, the architecture and depth of history on this site is breathtaking, and the personal audio tour guide makes learning about each part of the venue easy and at your own pace. You can even taste the water (hold your nose!)
Worth a visit if you are interested in the origins of bath in the Roman times. Some of the archaeological finds are on display. £27 entry fee could be a put off, but we found it very interesting.
I suggest you get in at opening to make the most of your entry fee. Can be very busy once tour groups start arriving.
