authentic french food tucked away in a corner of shaw centre! my personal favourite was the crab entrée that had a very rich crab flavour and well balanced. the black cod with ratatouille was also well cooked and matched well. enjoyed our dinner here!

I came with a friend and we both love the onion soup. The restaurant kindly split the one order into 2 bowls for us. The escargots were good, I would prefer is the garlic is stronger. We also ordered the gratin dessert ravioles. Our first time ordering it and we didn't know what to expect. So the taste was surprisingly mild and I would prefer it if there were more flavours. The ratatouille was good. The rum souffle were super good.

A solid 4.5 stars! Yes for the entrees, yes for the mains, no for the desserts.
The bread that came first was hard... and the butter was mediocre.
Then came the entrees. We got the French Onion Soup and the Crabe Farcis. The soup was rather authentic and not too sweet, perfect for me. The Crab was an interesting one, but one I would definitely order again. There is a good amount of crab meat and the flavor was top notch.
For the mains, we got the Braised Beef Cheeks and the Duck Confit. The braised beef cheeks was cooked well but pairing with the French Onion Soup was a mistake. Because it was just rich on rich. The duck confit on the other hand, cooked to perfection *chefs kiss*. Skin is fried to the perfect level of crispness and the balance of skin and fat was just right. The berry sauce complimented the duck meat really well.
Finally to the desserts. We got the Creme Brulee and Mille Feuille with Chocolate cream special for the day). For me, both were subpar standards... the sugar on top of the creme brulee was too chard at some corners and the pastry on the Mille feuille was so hard, I bit the side of my mouth trying to eat it.

The atmosphere made me feel like I am in a quaint French restaurant and transported me away from Singapore. Staff were polite and attended to our enquiries promptly. Overall, I would definitely come back for more, just not the desserts.

A Parisian Escape in Singapore: Revisited

This charming restaurant, conveniently located near Shaw Centre, has captured my heart for years. Drawn back by fond memories, I recently revisited and was delighted to find it still exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Stepping inside feels like being transported to a cozy Parisian bistro, offering a taste of French authenticity at an accessible price point.

Their French onion soup is a personal favorite, and while the version here is quite enjoyable, a slightly more generous topping of cheese would elevate it further.
I also indulged in the steak frites, and it was magnificent. The melt-in-your-mouth tenderness and rich buttery flavor were truly impressive.
The staff's recommendation for a perfectly balanced wine that complemented all the dishes was superb, making the entire experience truly delightful.

This visit has successfully reignited my fond memories of this restaurant, and I look forward to returning again soon.

White asparagus was alright, foie gras was the best of all the items we ordered. Both the chicken and the beef that were served in the crockpot tasted like they were cooked in the same sauce which we didn’t enjoy, the pork and beef steak were dry and not fragrant at all.

Special of the month will be the white asparagus. Love their white asparagus creamy soup. It was so light and smooth, the sweetness of the asparagus 👌🏼

Escargot would be our 2nd favoritee dish. Freshness and the green terrine sauce. Beautifully executed.

Duck confit was crispy and tender, however it was on a saltier end.

Would we come back again? YES!

Patronised this delightful restaurant several times already and find myself returning for the tasty duck leg confit! The duck meat is tender with a crispy skin! Love the french onion soup, white asparagus soup too! The set lunch is worth every cent! Love the ambience. Service is top notch too!

Went in August. I ordered the duck breast because I was the duck confit would be too greasy. The mashed potatoes with green sauce served on the side was so good! The creamy flavor was not greasy but not too bland either, and the green sauce was the finishing touch. The duck breast was not so good, it was too dry and lacked juiciness. It came with figs on the side, which I didn't get but they weren't too sweet and not too bad for some fiber.

Onion Soup had a lot of onions in it and it was a really traditional flavor, similar to what I had in France a long time ago. Slightly sour and caramelized.

I also ordered a ratatouille side dish which was bland and just sour.

Slow Cooked Beef supposedly simmered for 12 hours, it was beef cheek. It was okay but mediocre like what we would make at home. The mushrooms inside were juicy. Not much seasoning, just the flavor of the beef itself.

The ambience is nice with a lot of people. But when I took pictures, the waiters looked at me strangely... Most recommended is the mashed potatoes next to the duck breast (better than normal mashed potatoes, but you can't order it on its own) Oh yeah the butter that’s served with bread is delicious.
