The northern Swede at our table loved the food more than the rest of us so maybe it’s catered towards their palette.
Never felt so ”othered” in a restaurant before. I asked if they had decaf and the waiter goes ”we don’t do that in Sweden.” I must have hallucinated the several other restaurants I’ve had decaf lattes in Stockholm.
That sort of vibe the whole dinner, they just seemed very frustrated with any question or moment of delay we had. I guess we were not their ideal patrons, so we will take guests elsewhere next time.

I worried that Knut’s Northern Swedish cuisine might be a gimmick, but everything was absolutely delicious! The Northern Sampler, herring starter, minced moose and venison were all standouts. I only wish we had been able to try more dishes from the menu! Plus lovely service and a warm, relaxed and unhurried vibe. Highly recommended!

A colleague suggested this place so I went with my wife and children. What a gem! Great atmosphere and amazing food. Everything that we ordered was great and you could see that the chef had put a lot of effort in preparing and presenting the dish. A short explanation of the dish was also provided, which was excellent.
I ordered the Venison Ribeye which was the best, and I repeat, the best meal I have had in the past year! Absolutely amazing taste!
Service was very good and prices were typical of a Stockholm restaurant, a bit expensive compared to rest of Europe but absolutely worth the price!

Nice decor. Food is decent. The deer sausages, mac n cheese, bread and scones were great. Beautiful plating. The service however really put me off. 1) we asked for a table by the big door opening and they said it was reserved for a party of 4. 2h later the party was still not there. The restaurant was pretty empty. 2) there were no plates or food cloth on our table. I had to ask for plates!!!!!! 3) To clean a table, the waiter used a big brush and brushed everything to the floor from the table!!! 4) when I asked to pay, the waiter literally forgot. His colleague noticed after a while and she was kind enough to come to our table instead and because she was friendly, I tipped anyway.

I was happy to visit this place. This is exactly the restaurant, not a cafe. Not cheap (~60€ per person: main course, dessert and glass of wine), but it worse every krone you spent

Everything was great. I got to try moose meat, I actually prefer deer/ boar meat (own tastebuds) which happens to be cheaper so the other dishes could be worth trying another time. Staff spoke Swedish and English but I did find it odd that some wanted to speak Swedish when I said I speak English. Overall, the atmosphere was nice. We reserved but it wasn't necessary (maybe because it was snowing so much so there were less people)

Amazing experience at Knut’s. Fantastic northern food, very tasty.
