The food was bad. The atmosphere was unclean. The chairs were filthy. The wash area was dirty. And the attitude of the old man who served us was thoroughly problematic. He didn't want to look at our faces, for some reason. Only thing that was acceptable was their coffee.
Nandini Veg Restaurant, situated on the Eastern side of the temple, offers a good vegetarian dining experience. We had a meal comprising rice, sambar, pickle, upperi, avial, masala curry, curd, pappadam, and a delectable payasam. The option between "ponni" and "matta" rice added a nice touch, allowing for personalized preferences. Overall, the food was satisfying..
While some staff members exhibited excellent service and hospitality, others seemed a bit careless. This could be improved to ensure a consistent dining experience for all patrons.
One downside was the lack of parking space, which could pose a challenge for visitors. It's unclear if they have designated parking, but it's something to consider when planning a visit....

Loved the food, great atmosphere just like a local Brahmins restaurant. Unlimited food, served through multiple rounds. Love the fact the that pappadams are unlimited too. The trophy of this restaurant goes to the vegetable chopper. The way the cabbage is cut for poriyal and the way the mango is sliced for oorukai added a touch of difference which will stay in my mind for coming years. The food is decently priced at 110Rs (on Mar 2024). More importantly there was both Matta rice and white rice which was well thought through. I ate a meal filling both my stomach and soul.
