"Celebrate your successes. Find some humor in your failures. Don't take yourself so seriously. Loosen up and everybody around you will loosen up." -Sam Walton (1918-1992)

Spanning over 19 acres and including some 11,000 grave sites, the Bentonville Cemetery dates back to the mid 1800's. Unlike many other cemeteries in the south, it is inclusive and includes both African-American and white burials. It is a lawn-style and it is in excellent condition with short trimmed grass and most of the headstones have flowers. The lanes are paved and driveable or walkable.

We were here to pay our respects to Mister Sam and Miss Helen, the founder of Walmart and his wife. It is a simple grave but a number of small memorials are here from those who have visited before. It is towards the northeast of the cemetery.
