I wouldn’t normally feel compelled to leave a review but after the experience I had at this store I must. Massimo seemed lovely but the short gentleman with black hair who helped my boyfriend and I was extremely rude after we declined the first jacket my boyfriend tried on. I was so excited to purchase a leather jacket for myself but we couldn’t stand to stay another second after he accused us of coming to the store “without the intention to buy.” Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed and honestly shocked by the experience.

Incredible! I came into Massimo’s leather shop as my last stop on my day trip to Florence. I had been looking for authentic leather all day, but was unlucky because it was either way too expensive or not real Italian leather. When I arrived at Massimo’s he greeted me with a big smile and made me feel like we had been friends forever. I was unsure what I wanted and he kept asking what my preferences were and giving information about which bags I would like. I ended up leaving with two GORGEOUS bags, 3 wallets, and an incredible leather jacket. You can have your jacket made special just for you if you like a certain style but want it in a different size or color. We got stuck in the rain so we just stayed in the shop and talked with the owners for the next half hour. I can’t say enough great things about this shop! The products are gorgeous and incredible quality, and this family-run shop makes you feel like one of their own! I wish to return to Florence one day just to go back to Massimo’s Leather!

I found the exact style leather jacket I was looking for in Massimo's leather shop. Very reasonable pricing and high quality product. His wife was very helpful and they even gave me a deal on a purse that I got for my mom too!

Excellent value, excellent experience with Massimo and Colette, and just a wonderful little shop that felt like we were with family. My wife had heard about Massimo and we stopped in when we were in Florence. My wife found a gorgeous orange bag and was interested in a very specific red leather jacket. They did not have it in stock but Massimo took her measurements and we discussed having it shipped back to the States. Massimo wanted us to come back the following day to ensure that the order was correct and when we did that we were delighted to find that Massimo had had it made overnight and my wife absolutely loves it. (The gentleman from the factory is also a gem). Massimo showed me a few overnight bags in the style of the 1920's and I resisted for all of four seconds before grabbing a beautiful, rich brown one.

Go ahead and look at the other leather stores in Florence and then come here. It's the real deal.

My daughter and I bought TWO leather coats from here. We we’re taking a big chance because off the rack they didn’t fit, so he measured us and had them custom made - I honestly didn’t think they would be what he promised- but they exceeded my expectations!! They are the softest most comfortable leather ever! Fits perfectly- well done! Worth trusting him - oh I didn’t mention he had them shipped to the states so there was no taking them back ! I’m not 💯 satisfied I’m 200%!! You won’t be disappointed

Massimo got my leather coat size right in the first try and Collette was very helpful with the purses. This is a great family leather company and I highly recommend them. Do not buy from the shops on the street or the ones that pressure sale you!! Massimo leather has the authentic leather stamped into the purses and wallets. I got a great deal on 4 wallets, jacket, and 2 purses.
