A great place to walk. It opens at morning and at early evening. Located just beside the Mysore University, you can see a lot of ppl here walking, running, meditating. You can see a lot of birds too and if you are lucky some peacocks too.

One of the best lakes I have visited. Morning and evening walks rejuvenate very easily. The walking area around the lake itself is close to 3.9 km and it takes more than an hour to cover. Beautiful and peaceful. Pelicans, live fishes, variety or ducks are common sight. It's delightful to see plenty of fish caught during the fishing time.

Restrooms are available for use. Maintaining average cleanliness. There is also ample space for a picnic spot. At the main entrance, refreshments and snacks is available. At other entrances, private vendors are selling tendor coconut, porridge etc.

I'm happy to live near the lake so that I can freely use the facility.

A long walk, almost 4.5 kms around the lake was great experience. We can watch birds, if we have patience to do so. With a small island in the middle of lake, full of cranes, is a valuable time spent.
