Visited on a beautiful sunny day. The gardens are magnificent. Plenty of people enjoying the sunshine. The downside was that the tea shop / cafe was jammed with people - so a challenge to even get an ice cream. Plenty to see here. Worth a visit. Suggest you enter at Clarkehouse Road (main entrance) and walk downhill to Thompson Road.
My daughter LOVED to see how friendly the squirrels were. Competes very well with the squirrels of London 😉🥰 And I loved the indoor glass houses. Some amazing plants you just don't normally see on a casual walk round Sheffield's woods 😅

A lovely spot to visit if you're in Sheffield. Don't be put off by folk saying there's no parking. You can overcome this by parking along the road in Wetherspoons (pay and display. Or first 3 hours are free if you register inside Wetherspoons). Then, it's a flat 8 min walk to the gardens (less if you don't dawdle). The gardens themselves are beautiful (we visited in early May). Pleasant atmosphere, lots to see and there was even a cat! Will definitely go back and make it a longer stay next time!
