Worst playground in The Netherlands. I wish there were an option to rate this playground with zero stars. It is. so bad and dangerous that I’ve considered starting a national completion with a money price for the “worst playground in the Netherlands”, just so I could submit this playground
The location is perfect but whomever designed it must deeply hate children and their parents. The slide is built at such an incline that it is near impossible to get onto it without falling, not just for the kids but also for their guardians. Especially if it’s slightly slippery, I saw multiple parents try and fall, sometimes with their kids or while pregnant.
This playground is an actual safety hazard, with its twisted Hunger Games set up: its Darwin’s theories come to live by way of a slide and swing—only the fit may survive
Many of the other “playground” items are made of materials entirely unsuited to kids safety: massive iron and stone balls, a floor that grates open tiny knees if they as much as sit down, let alone fall. Swings that are impossible to climb onto and frankly have more business being bolted to the walls of an adult-only dungeon, than a public park.
I wish I could tag the municipality of The Hague and whatever idi*t architect they overpaid to build this. Or the king himself to ask him what on earth is going in the backyard of his office and if he would have let his kids ruin their royal knees by just trying to have fun—but instead I’m opting for this review and copy pasting it to the general info email of the Mayor’s office, feel free to do the same
