Tulemar Resort

LOVED the resort but a long ride, nearly 3 hours, from the airport. Resort is on the side of a mountain. Not easy walking and necessary to call for shuttles to go to the beach, store. The views were spectacular and the visiting monkeys were great fun. Came right up on our deck!!

We recently returned from a wonderful stay at Tulemar Resort with our two children (ages 3 and 18 mos). The grounds are beautiful, and it is so peaceful. We always felt welcome in the resort with our kids (3 of 4 pools are child-friendly, so we had tons of options, as well as the beach). The property is spread out so that you feel like you have a lot of privacy and are not on top of other guests. The hills are steep, but we knew that before arriving. We often walked but also used the shuttle, especially from the beach.

Our concierge, Laura, was amazing and extremely attentive. She helped us with booking several off-site excursions as well as a babysitter one evening while we went to dinner. TuleCafe was delicious and had excellent service. We mostly went for lunch (eating breakfast in our bungalow) but went on our last evening for dinner to watch the sunset.

The highlight of our trip was probably the wildlife. Just on the property, we saw a sloth, lots of monkeys, macaws, and lizards.

We would highly recommend Tulemar!
