Thanks to Muhamed, who kindly understood our situation and suggested available vehicle, we had a really nice driving experience in Swiss Alphs !

When traveling internationally, I exclusively rent with Sixt because I never have any issues. In this case, our vehicle was very well equipped, spotless, and perfect for two people driving for 9+ days. General advice…treat the car like you are borrowing it from a friend or family member and you’ll never have any issues.

My family and I visited Switzerland and rented a car for 6 days from this company. We have three children and spent a great deal of time in the car traveling all over the country. When we returned the car, nobody approached to help us from the return counter. My husband went to find someone and she waved him off saying “park it wherever”. We parked, unloaded our things and then went inside as nobody ever came to the car to check us out. The woman at the counter said “it’s fine, you can go”. Once home, we saw the bill and the company added $140 cleaning charge. We asked why and they told us it was excessively dirty. I knew I cleaned out any trash from all compartments and asked to see photos. What they sent me was photos of crumbs on the floor of the backseat. 10 min vacuum job tops. Standard cleaning would include vacuum but they’re claiming they have to outsource this job. Now I can assure that if someone had come to do an actual checkout at the car and told me they don’t include vacuuming in the standard post rental, I would have argued it right then and there. This is very poor customer service and absolutely bot somewhere I would recommend for anyone to rent from on their vacation. This place is running a scam.
