Visiting Michelangelo's Moses in San Pietro in Vincoli was an awe-inspiring experience. The sculpture's commanding presence and intricate details are truly captivating. The lifelike quality of Moses, from his intense gaze to the flowing texture of his beard and robes, showcases Michelangelo's extraordinary talent and attention to detail.Standing before this masterpiece, I was struck by the powerful expression and the sense of movement captured in the marble. The sheer skill required to create such a dynamic and realistic figure is astonishing. The atmosphere around the sculpture allows for a contemplative and intimate appreciation of its beauty and craftsmanship.My visit to see Moses was a profound and memorable highlight, leaving me in awe of Michelangelo's artistic genius.
Beautiful church with the Chains of St Peter and also Michaelangelo's Statue I'd Moses. It's definitely worth a visit.
Amazing place. There is no queue at all. You can appreciate a masterpiece, in my opinion, better than the Madonna Della pieta, without having to queue for one hour like in Saint Peter. It's free.
The statue of Moses is in a gorgeous cathedral. They have very informative plaques in multiple languages telling about the history and restoration of the statue. My favorite factoid was how they put artificial light sources in the room so the statue can be viewed by modern day people the way Michelangelo designed the statue to be viewed!
I love the Cathedral of St Peter in Vincoli. Aside from the resting place of one of the most famous Popes in history, it also houses one of the most important religious relics of the Chains of St Peter, as well as Michaelangelo's Moses
Do check it out they charge nothing to go inside and for all it houses it is very much worth the trip! I recommend it and will go again!

Very beautiful statute in a very beautiful church. Michelangelo is one of the greatest artists of all time and the statue of Moses is world renowned, it is definitely worth seeing. It’s a very impressive piece of art, the sculpture is quite big, much more impressive than I imaged. I enjoyed the time I spent here, it’s definitely a very unique church that houses this fantastic piece of art. I would definitely recommend visiting this Church.
This is a must to visit. Many things in Rome cost to see, but not this. And the really neat thing is that it was commissioned to Michelangelo.
