One of the highlights of Salzburg, the cathedral is glorious although not quite in the highest tier of Catholic cathedrals. Never the less, if you're in Salzburg there is absolutely no excuse not to visit and spend the better part of an hour taking in the neoclassical splendour. The line for entry can get rather long - I popped into the nearby Franziskanerkirche for a while and came back a half hour later and it was shorter. Still, I doubt you're going to get in without some line.
Must visit when in Salzburg. Magnificent church in the old town near mozartplatz. You have to pay 5euro to enter or do a 9euro noon time music inside the church. The intricate design of the ceiling and wall painting is very specular. Take your time walking around the church to see all its splendors. Remember to check the crypt at the basement.
An incredibly impressive work of architecture and art. The amount of work that has gone into this cathedral is amazing. Well worth a look inside for such a small price.
