We visited the blue mosque in September on a weekend and it was closed (i think it opens around 4pm in the afternoon), but still sat on the bench outside and enjoyed it. It is very colourful and serene, i would really recommend visiting.
This mosque has seen better days. I hope they can return it to its former glory. I've seen older photos and it looks nothing like it used to. If you are a tourist coming from one of the gulf countries, you may want to skip visiting this one as for sure you're already used to well-adorned and aesthetically pleasing mosques from where you came from. For those who want to visit to pray, this mosque is perfect enough.
One of the more “famous” Mosque’s in the heart of the city. It’s a must see while touring the city.
