Amazing traditional food. We heard from a local that the gemista was the best in town and it was outstanding. But even better were the tomato fritters and the dolmas. So good we had lunch there 2 straight days!

I had the lamb kebab with fries and a regular coca cola. It was served quickly and with great service. A delicious meal and great dining experience at a great price.

Found myself in Chania, Crete... friends recommended Tamam so I had to take a dip! Had no reservation for a Wednesday evening but was seated immediately, table for three. The fritters were amazing off the sampler plate. Lamb chops grilled to my taste. Stop in and enjoy!

Indulging in a culinary journey at Tamam in the heart of old town Chania was nothing short of delightful. Our starter, the fried Talagani cheese with a hazelnut crust, was a great combination of flavors - each bite a perfect balance of crispiness and creaminess. The grilled sea bass, adorned with a Mediterranean sauce infused with subtle hints of carrots, turmeric, celery, and dill, elevated the dining experience to new heights. The Boureki, a traditional Cretan pie bursting with the goodness of zucchini, potatoes, and goat cheese, offered a comforting taste of local cuisine. Sitting outside, surrounded by the charming ambiance of old town Chania, only added to the magic of the moment. Truly an unforgettable culinary adventure.

As the perfect finale to our lunch at Tamam, we were treated to a complimentary dessert accompanied by a generous serving of raki. This gesture added an extra layer of warmth to our dining experience, leaving us feeling truly appreciated as guests. The dessert, a sweet indulgence crafted with care, was the cherry on top of an already exquisite meal. Paired with the traditional Cretan spirit of raki, it was a fitting end to a memorable journey through flavors and hospitality at Tamam in old town Chania.

Very greedy owner who is asking customers if we will add tips on credit card charges. This is my third time to visit this restaurant, but this time I feel that this restaurant has become a tourist trap. Very expensive wine, 6 euros per glass, and the service has become slow and unfriendly. Never again!

We can't wait for the next time in Chania, we will surely come to Tamam for a new meal with their Cretan cuisine. Last two times we were sitting outside in the shadow and it was pretty nice to eat next to the crowd walking up and down the street.

We came here with great expectations however I was a bit disappointed. The food was ok. The starters we had (dolmaki) were good, and the main courses (lambchops & kebab) were just ok. I was really excited about the Octopus but it wasn't special at all. The service was just slow. On the plus side, I really liked the location of the restaurant. It was really nice to sit on a narrow Creten street and enjoy the food.
