We have an internet cafe & rent space from account holder, but having never received bill statements, inquired & honorably made 1st full 2 month payment 10/2/23. Apparently, there was missing communication...
Nevertheless, the simple primary fact is that NO PROPERLY ETHICAL WARNINGS OF DISCONNECTION WERE EVER GIVEN, or even any final courtesy call or knock on the door by the tech sent to cut service on 11/23. It was too late to get to their office & we arrived next day to reconcile, losing 2 full days of business while waiting ~3+ hours for a rep.
Furthermore, upon discussion with a 'kind' manager who, even after 5 years with the company was unable to exhibit any authority of proper discretionary courtesy to at least waive the outrageous deposit penalty of $4150 pesos, he referred us to another supervisor, who could only email superiors & escalate 'scheduling a case' with executive office, which has taken over a month... highly contrived & inane policies.
This is absolutely, an atrocious & complete disregard for any proper basic morals or business ethics, & EXTREMELY WRONG on many levels, from lack of concern or care for struggling low income people (many already in hardship), to actually having appropriate policies for such situations deserving of proper COMMON DECENCY, RESPECT & COURTESY... It's sincerely despairing to see such advantage taken of customers who are without any options for other competitive companies.
It would be absolutely 💯% perfect to see the honorable Miriam Defensor Santiago profoundly & thoroughly excoriate those responsible with total contempt, & completely condemn such abhorrent policies, ('commending their ignorance') invoking highest sanctions possible, preventing any further business unless full refunds are made & penalties imposed upon this company!
To regain electricy we were required to pay 2 month $17000 peso bill plus additional $4150 deposit penalty fee imposed AS IF WE INTENTIONLY AVOIDED PAYMENT, only further deeply burdening financial challenges for our new company. If we knew of any final disconnection warning we would've immediately made payment & avoided penalty or loss of business!
If the proper morals & ethics of simply doing the 'right thing' by refunding the unnecessary $4150 deposit penalty (to be kept 3 years!), & quite preferably along with 2 days loss of income, we should certainly pursue possible legal options & report to the government to rectify such inappropriate business policies.
...Very Respectfully yet extremely disgusted!
