Mythos Greek Restaurant In Amsterdam

If you are looking for the best greek food in Amsterdam, this is the place. We had Taramosalata, chicken gyros and Greek salad. The best taramosalata I've had outside Greece!! The service is excellent. The owner and his staff are super friendly and attentive. The interiors are tastefully decorated and the music heavenly. Food accompanied by Dimitris Mitropanos and Glykeria's songs transport you to Greece. What can you ask for more on a windy afternoon in Amsterdam!!

Dimitri the is the best!! Showed the menu, we spoke about Greece and he suggested what we had, a Pork Gyros and a very well cooked octopus, I will definitely come back when visiting Amsterdam again.Thank you Dimitri.

I thought the food would be ok because it’s in a touristy area, but it was much better than I expected. The host was nice; a bit too talkative but I was by myself and I think he was excited to talk to someone. I had the lamb chops, they were a little overdone but flavorful.

The restaurant was really gorgeous with amazing food! Had a lot of vegetarian and meat options at a range of prices. The owner was lovely!

First off, the food is incredible, it's affordable for the quality of the food and beverages that they offer. Atmosphere is amazing, beautiful interior and comfortable places to rest. The lovely (Rimitri?), who is 72 years old is the kindest service person we have encountered, he is very good at what he does, the presentation of the food and the love he has whilst working at his age is commendable. The kitchen staff is hard-working and very efficient, we got our food timed perfectly - appetizer, main, desert. All in all a lovely experience and our favorite restaurant in Amsterdam.

I'm assuming it's the owner but a lovley man was stood by the door as we was passing and helped talk talk through the menu. We decided on a gyro and it tasted delicious. Definitely recommend 🙂
