Lovely walk

Penobscot river is calm, silent and beautiful.
This river is the heart and soul of Bangor. Love it!

Lots of space but not much excitement

This park has a fantastic walking path along the water with scenic views everywhere you look. There are also frequent park benches to stop and enjoy some people watching. If you're getting to much sun, there are plenty of large shady trees offering respite from the heat. Picnic tables also dot the park, perfect for a family looking for a comfortable place for a picnic.

Awesome until a concert, and then all public property becomes non public property, and you are not aloud any were on the waterfront with a car. They should use that huge lot up at the auditorium ? Not public parking belonging to the people for a selfish money thing lol. Everybody is selling parking and just trying to rip people off. Concert is very expensive and they want your big dollars for parking also. Just don't fit. Concerts yes. But do it right, you can't keep everyone away with is what they want. If your poor they do not want you any place near we're you may here something for free so they shut down what is always open to the public and now mostly people with money.
