Just wow! For the incredible panoramic views of the caucasian mountains and the history this place holds. A lot of them hikes up to this place, however we drove by ourselves and the route to this place is a decent uphill drive. Parking is for free and so the entry- sit in peace and enjoy the solitude:)

No matter what I say wouldn’t be enough for this majestic church.
Has lots of history overlooking the caucasian mountains. Trip there worth it although it’s far from Tbilisi but really nice.
Some people take the hike up to the church but we went by bus.

Finally visited Gergeti Trinity Church last early March! It snowed a day earlier so we were not sure if we could drive there. We were lucky because the road was open (though we waited for around 30 mins as it was initially closed).
The place was amazing!!! It was white around the area and the Church standing on top a hill was such a nice view. If you wish to light a candle inside, there was a shop down the Church to buy candles but there was also inside for donation.
When we were driving up, I saw a walking trail so would love to come back there again during spring or summer for some hiking!

Beautiful church in a perfect location.. It is also a monastry where monks and nuns live. Nuns make cheese, honey, gem ornaments, wine, etc. all sold for interested visitors. Must visit place!
So happy to be visiting. Beautiful views. Although the day we got here it was cloudy and windy, the area was covered in snow and ice. You can get candles inside by donation. Shame that the Delica service (70 Lari per car) hotel organised for us only incorrectly gave us 30 mins to see this time even though Rooms Kazbegi hotel told us 45mins. Getting through the icy footpath already took 10 mins! The next day we tried to hike up but the snow was too much to make it safe for us to get further. It was doable by other people I know we were just being too careful.
Amazing view from the Church! It’s surrounded by snowy Rocky Mountains and the view is phenomenal! It was hard to get up there during winter time and it was super slippery. We had so much fun going there and the nervousness!
