Wonderful experience to fully connect with nature with a relatively brief 1.5 hour drive from Jakarta (accessible with public transportation too). The new management has done wonders to elevate the garden’s cleanliness and comfort compared to my previous visits around a decade ago, never a boring sight now.

Thankfully, the garden was not gentrified with high-end shops and restaurant, unlike certain ‘green spaces’ in Jakarta. It is open to all classes and maintains a strict no car policy to prevent pollution and unnecessary danger for pedestrians from tainting this peace of the sanctuary.

It was such a joy to see this historical garden well preserved. I recommend taking the tour car to learn about many kinds of trees, their use, their history and their myths. The guide was very informative and threw some good jokes to cheer up the ride. It's approximately 13 kilometers by foot to explore this place. Taking a break at Resto Raasaa would be a wonderful rest since the view is amazing.

Great for family vacation. U should bring bugs spray just in case. U can't bring cars inside, so use your shoes and explore! The place is very huge and beautiful but prepare some water if you don't wanna dehydrate yourself afterwards.
