Loved the place. A marvellous sight of the Greek glory. A stroll along the remaining wall was so pleasant and enjoyable.
Great place overall, but only accepts card which is a negative point considering that all other tourist spots have cash payments too. Just around sultan ahmet and easier to locate
No crowd. Stunning and had the place to ourselves. Cost was less then the main Cistern.
Really enjoyed looking round this old cistern. No queue to get in, price varies depending on if they have an installation or not.

This site is the remains of the famous Constantinople hippodrome. It is in ruins and in dire need of restoration.
This cistern is smaller than the Basilica Cistern but is equally beautiful, impressive and exciting to visit. It is much less crowded than the Basilica Cistern and costs half the price for entry. I don’t think this place is well known by tourists. It really deserves more publicity.

Beautiful historic place, long que in the sun and they took 800TL. But Turkish citizens only 200 TL. There are more cisterns for lower price.
It's truly disappointing that the authorities in Istanbul aren't preserving the Sphendone remains. This historical artifact offers a unique window into the city's past, and it's crucial to protect such valuable heritage for future generations to appreciate and learn from.
