Monumento dedicato a quello che è universalmente considerato quale il padre della geologia italiana moderna. Non poteva esserci luogo migliore in cui ricordare la figura di Stoppani come i giardini pubblici di Milano, proprio accanto allo storico museo civico di storia naturale!

Nice square just a little distance from the Duomo, a pity it's anymore a market, only the name remains, no street shops, only some souvenirs little shops.
It's and interesting small square, besause it is considered one of the oldest in Milan. And in fact, you get a sense of that, by the buildings that surround the square. You can also buy some souvenirs here. There are some vendors at the square.
One the nice squares in Milan that you would enjoy to explore with beautiful old buildings around.
In the Middle Ages, Piazza Mercanti was the most important square in the city, and today it still exists between two large and modern main squares (Duomo and Cordusio), offering an atmosphere where you can suddenly step into a medieval ambiance. When we visited, there wasn't a heavy pedestrian flow in the square, and we felt like we had stepped out of the hustle and bustle of the city. We spent peaceful time exploring the architecture of the buildings surrounding the square, which date back to the 13th and 14th centuries.

While it will be difficult to tell what is the prettiest building in Milan, I can easily name the ugliest one, and it will be this one.
It’s actually under construction and not possible to go in. It’s a shame because I’m only in Milan briefly and this is the one thing I wanted to do… waste of time 😒

O Castelo Sforza (italiano: Castello Sforzesco) fica em Milão, norte da Itália. Foi construído no século XV por Francesco Sforza, duque de Milão, sobre os remanescentes de uma fortificação do século XIV. Mais tarde renovado e ampliado, nos séculos XVI e XVII, foi uma das maiores cidadelas da Europa. Extensivamente reconstruída por Luca Beltrami em 1891-1905, agora abriga vários museus e coleções de arte da cidade.
