A not good place to shop electronics items , because last time i got a phone there, the phone already had issues but I didn’t know about it, i just trust them, when i turned phone back to them, the lady staff just tried to red of me 2 times as she was lied to fix issues with phone, finally I said keep your faulty phone, I even don’t want money back, than another staff offer me a voucher.

After a couple of unsuccessful attempts to sort out a problem by phone, I visited the Stockport store. Excellent service, problem sorted in minutes with no hassle. Only down side was the long wait, but staff did acknowledge we were waiting and did their best to minimise the wait. Only sorry I didn't remember the name of the chap who dealt with the issue.
Paid £50 for my phone screen used all fake parts and completely damaged my phone luckily I have proof I want it sorting or a refund or I will take it further.

I have been with 3 for 12 years and I think they are brilliant i was told by the young lady on saturday that i can upgrade on monday so i returned monday with my wife who had taken the day of work . I arrived monday morning about 11ish to be told that she can't do it , I have never met such a rude woman in all my life absolutely no appology whatsoever . If she had said ime sorry to waste your time and bring you back ,but nothing .even when I said you told me to come back ,she did not say ime sorry for wasting your time (annoyed)

Went in to get info on my phone, then they said because I have broadband with them I can renew and save some money each month, I told her I didn't want anything changed or taken away or added, this I repeated about 10 times, she got a clown called josh to bring the paperwork to sign which I did and he confirmed its going to save me around £6 a month which I thought was fair enough, later that night the signal sign was flashing on the EE hybrid back up hub. I called EE the next day and they said I told the guy I didn't want it, which is a complete lie, why wouldn't I want the backup hub? Now 2 weeks later they have cancelled the order and had to resend a new hybrid hub which they said would be up and running once I got it, I set it up and it's flashing, called them yet again they said it will be all working Monday but it could be up until midnight, its now Tuesday still flashing, 2 weeks of stress due to josh trying to con me, be careful what you sign, such poor customer services from this company!!

I had this really tiny girl and she was so sweet and so helpful give her a raise asap
I buy & sell items here often and the staff here a very friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service always given by staff member Mason. I recommend this store.
Went in today to sell and old ps3 after originally going to the dreaded cex where i was treated badly this can not be said about cash converters the lads on the counter were very approachable and friendly the whole process was easy i was in and out cash in hand within 10 mins

Went in to sell a few items to be fair the first staff member i encountered was friendly and chatty , i was informed that the games console was to be tested and this has to be booked in (took about 45 mins for completion) when i returned i was told the controller would not connect so they refused to buy the whole thing , i pointed out to the somewhat miserable staff member that it works and needed a charge she did not care , i asked if I charged it in The car and brought back was that ok she turned her back and said it would have to be rebooked in so i left the store and went to cash converters just a two minute walk away they saw everything was fine and matched the offer cex gave me and were very chatty and friendly … morale of the story cex bad

I have got some problems with upgrading and the wrong one was chosen for me. I did go there and a nice and friendly member of staff called Nora did sort it out for me and treated me so nicely and kindly, while I was a bit angry, at least at the beginning.

Very bad service and really bad network every couple weeks network is down midday of work and they don't do anything about it can't wait end my contract with them

Excellent service on Friday. Served by Collette and Catherine. Both very pleasant and knowledgeable. Collette was very patient with me and all my questions.
My elderly mother in law came in and saw Keiron to help her with a basic SIM card, she only needed the sim for the occasional call nothing else. He somehow managed to talk her into signing up for a high tarriff 24 month sim contract which she absolutely did not need or want. She couldn’t also get signal so she took it upon herself to return to store where she was basically fobbed off with another SIM card by Keiron again he never even made sure the sim was working. After this she then told me what she had done and she had been talked into this 24 month contract. We went back to store together and I found Keiron ridiculously patronising and when I questioned him on why he had signed her into this contract when there were far more other better suited options and said to him it’s like you’ve seen her coming in not having a clue and have taken advantage to which his response was I quote “We TRY not to do that here” not even completely denying that that would never happen. I have eventually managed to get her out of this contract as she wasn’t even getting any service but this was only through a very helpful man on the customer service number. If you have elderly relatives or someone wanting a basic sim card that probably uses the phone once a week if that do not send them to Keiron seems the guy just wants to make his extra 10p commission he will probably get. If I could give no stars that is what he would receive avoid!

Poor after sales can't speak to online help chat box just infuriates you by looping you back and forth,I would suggest try talking to a human on the phone or online and see how you get on see if as difficult as I found it to be

Awful store with awful, untrained staff. I bought a game from the ceX located in Stockport. I came back the next day to return it. The woman at the desk (purple hair) completely clueless told me that I can have a refund. That was great. She asked me If I had the card I paid with, which I did have. She said that she can't complete the refund until I set up a membership. I was in a rush but I agreed, only for her to tell me that she can give me a voucher, not an actual refund. Then she says that it states that they don't do refunds on my receipt in the finest writing. Am I being ridiculous or how are people meant to know if no one tells them about it. What if they change their mind in store ? If people only get this info on the receipt and not from the actual employee, its too late after they paid... What the hell is wrong with this company ? If this is some sort of new technique to get customers to start memberships then it's a ridiculous one. Its the worst customer service I've had in a long time. No one was helpful. I would suggest further training and maybe telling your staff to not lie to customers. I'll post the same review in other places. I'm sick of employees being untrained and not knowing how to do their job.
Excellent customer service from Dillon, a member of staff at the Stockport Cash Converters! During the Black Friday sale, Dillon listened to what I wanted from a bicycle, and used his expert knowledge to present me with a suitable bicycle model they had in stock. He talked me through the pros and cons of owning a second hand Boardman C7 Carbon bicycle, and advised me of the finance options available in store. I felt Dillon showed real interest in helping me make the right choice, and he was committed to providing me with a good customer experience. I placed a deposit down on the bike, and agreed to pay the remainder balance and collect the following afternoon. The following afternoon, Dillon was in store and he greeted with a smile helping me to feel welcomed and confident in my purchase. He went around the back to the storage room to retrieve my bicycle, he notice the tires were a deflated so insisted on inflating them before I left the store. Dillon's excellent customer service deserved rewarding, so I spoke to his line Manager and asked how I could reward Dilon for his service? His Manager suggested I leave a Google review, and promised me that she will reward Dillon during their Xmas celebrations. That was a great response from his line Manager, and overall the entire experience with Dillon, his colleagues and Manager was superb! I would recommend buying from Cash Converters Stockport. Merry Christmas, and thank you.

Went into this store today because I had seen a dvd on the website stating it was available in this store, I had a look myself first to see if I could find it and I couldn't so I went upto the counter and it was a girl who I asked, she checked the system and said yes we have it, I said I've already looked and couldn't find it, I asked if she could look for it for me and she said no that she was too busy, so I went to have another look and kept my eye on what she was doing, and guess what, she wasn't doing anything the whole time I was in there!
Absolutely useless and very unhelpful, want the wage but don't want to help unless it's using the computers!
More than one occasion I have come to this shop and seen a deal only for the staff to lie and say its either the "wrong price" or "it's not included" so they don't have to sell it for that low price. They need to clearly label their products with the correct price and highlight EXACTLY what is in their offers.
I would like to give a zero star rating. I have been a local carphone warehouse since 2002. New phones every few years for myself, my business and my children. My last contract bought in 2021 (after currys takeover in 2020) was mediocre but every attempt to get a new contract or an upgrade since then has failed. I tried 5 store visits to 3 different branches with various issues including one sales failed purchase with an assistant who smelled very strongly of cannabis. After my 5 bad experience in store I gave up and tried to order online. When confronted with a much higher upfront cost at checkout than expected i went back in to store. Still walked out without a phone. Was advised it would be better to ring to order and have my handset delivered to the store. I couldnt get back to the store as I was starting a new job so I ordered the Samsung S23 Ultra for home delivery next day. Phone did not arrive. DPD told me I needed to expect next day before 5pm. I was travelling up to Scotland that evening so when DPD adjusted their latest delivery time to 10pm I had to rearrange travel dates. The phone did not arrive. After 4 weeks and 2 days having taken upfront handset cost and first months payment I was told DPD have lost my phone. I expressed I wanted to speak to someone in customer service to get a refund for the month I did not have use of the phone so they cancelled my order. As it stands now they have not refunded the £79 or the £39.99 I have paid. I am still in contract with ID mobile but have no handset.
Places like this only attract the dregs of society unfortunately and this location has managed to make a business out of supporting bad habits and general thievery. They knowingly and willingly accept stolen goods which even when presented with clear evidence of theft they will not release anything unless the police is contacted and have to appear in person to sign off a form which will essentially make the police (the taxpayer basically) pay the selling price (not what the thieves were payed) of the stolen item. All in all this "business" makes a profit from stolen goods whether they are confiscated or not. For all we know they have thieves working for them. It's extortion and fraud from the public. A shameless establishment.

Shopped here a few times, few issues with quality and condition but today is the last. It appears cex standards have dropped massively.

Today we bought 11 dvds ( some box sets) and a video game.. 1 boxset all the discs are scratched to hell, doubt they'll work. Another box set 2 discs have laser burn and 1 disc missing. 2 other box sets discs full of scuffs and hazing.

We will never shop here or in any CEX again as we've had issues in other cex stores multiple times...
Popped into the store to switch from a physical sim to an e-sim.
I was served by Colette who was amazing! She’s very friendly & helpful.

Despite the in-store system not working due to being originally a Virgin Mobile customer and recent migrated over to O2, Colette swiftly picked up the phone to customer services and got my query resolved promptly.

Worst ever place to deal with - no direct line, phone cuts off before you get chance to speak to anyone, orders go missing, messed about for days on end and then told phones not available only at a higher price than agreed. Whole place is a joke. One to avoid if looking to buy a new phone. Go elsewhere and save yourself the trouble. Staff need a course in customer service skills. Obvioulsy dont give a jot about the customer! A phone shop that doesnt have a phone for you to actually speak to someone!!!!
After my 76 year old grandfather purchased an Android phone from here, we discovered that it hadn't connected to the SIM card and therefore returned to the store. After this visit, our problem still hadn't been resolved. We were told to charge the phone to 100% for an unnecessary reason, and clearly the saleswoman had no clue what she was talking about.

She was incredibly rude, brusque and unprofessional, and was even playing on snapchat whilst we spoke to her! We felt like we were quietly being shooed out of the store by an unhelpful woman who seemed bored, uninterested and who dismissed my grandfather as a naive old man. Not recommended.
Returned a Nokia Lumia after 2 days as per the agreement which states that you have 14 days if you 'Change your mind'' The two male assistants really messed me around, made me wait for over 20 minutes! one of them said that he needed to speak to his boss and then after another 10 minutes waiting his boss said that he didn't know how to process the paperwork and the chap who knew was off that day. I'd travelled nearly 20 miles and although I'm 72 I could see that these two clowns were just giving me the run around. They were completely unhelpful, unfriendly just didn't want to know! Had they been doing their job they would have learnt that I bought the Lumia as a present for my 75 year old dear wife who suffers from arthritis and just couldn't operate it. So I decided to return it and buy her a laptop instead as she requested, an imac.
I was so upset by the treatment I received that I just left, drove all the way to the carphone Warehouse at Macclesfield where they completed the cancellation in just 5 minutes and were friendly professional and helpful.
I wonder now if it is company policy in the big branches to be as awkward as possible to anyone trying to return items within their contractual 14 days? Somebody needs to look into this!!
Incidentally I have today purchased an imac and certainly not from Carphone Warehouse.
