Was in a rush to get on connecting flight and the staff were very helpful to ensure that a package I needed send away made it there and also followed up when it was delayed in the post, many thanks :)
Low price, good quality and quantity of books.
they had what i want which is great, but when she asked how my day was, i said i was trying to find one on their website but remembered i could get one in-store and she said no other words to me and avoided eye contact, and just held out a receipt for me. clearly i accidentally annoyed her by talking about online shopping but that level of service is disappointing. won’t be back

Clean, well lit and the staff go looking for a book or item if or isn't on the shelves
i got the eggs benedict from the cafe and it wasn’t that good, i was ignored for awhile at the counter aswell,
A great book, magazine and stationery store. The owners are a very nice friendly couple who always give great service, and their range of books, many of them remainder titles, aren't generally held by the two other book stores in Browns Bay. Highly recommend this store .

Sooooo I'm a little biast, but this gets my vote for literally BEST gift shop in Auckland CBD and my bank balance (or lack of) is proof of that 😁👍 The beauty of this store located just inside Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki is the quality and variety of range, affordable to expensive so you have great options, ever-changing around latest exhibition themes and they showcase a high percentage of boutique NZ-made (including an diverse styles of stunning pounamu). I love their book range and sustainable products too! The shop staff are also fantastic - they're passionate about the arts and authentic in their interactions (which I find rare these days). All in all an inviting and enjoyable experience. You'll never regret walking through the door and they also have an online shop via the website if you're too far away to visit in person ✨

The staff at Relay AKL Airport were very helpful. I needed a USB C to USB C cable to charge my phone in my hire car. The staff made sure I was able to confirm the connection was the right one before the purchase. Well trained staff were a delight to do business with.
Great service. Phoned to check if a desired item was in stock. Only to happy to put it aside for me.

Had the best customer service experience with Julie today from st Luke’s whitcoulls. We have an autistic child who is very keen on Dimond jewel art . We have been calling whitcoulls for the last 3 weeks to check if there are any stock in and Julie has been very helpful every time, checking the stock on shelves as well as in the system. Thank you Julie for going above and beyond for us , really do appreciate it .
Asked staff to help me find a card due to having low vision, absolutely great service, made my day to know how helpful and kind people can be, thanks!

Today(21/01/24) I've purchased 2 international travel adapters and 2 pkts of Jetlag tablets for my inlaws,and the lady rang it up to a total of $98,+ I've asked the lady behind the till if it's rite,cose the lady time we-a yr ago- we paid about $12,00.Well,she said that's the total I have to pay.Just trying to get my inlaws on the plane,so they can have a smooth journey back home,I got home home,made a call to the the store when one gentleman told me I was overcharged

Poor service. Eftpos machine broke down. 'self service' machine was operated by store person, and very poorly designed. Click 'process' to complete your order. Not at all intuitive.

What I was looking for I unable to find that game here unfortunately!

But luckily I met Miles!
He was a extremely helpful and such a polite person, lovely customer service provided by him and all the way he organized to hold that one and only game available in Nz, he spent around 20 minutes on phone to check the availability of that and source it from New Lynn branch.

As a consumer, I've had an Amazing customer experience here.

It says here that the store is open on Monday until 17:30. I came during working hours, everything was closed, and it was obvious that it had been for a long time. dark.
the customer service is impeccable. was helped out by jade today and even though i spent ages trying to find the best book for my dad, she didnt hesitate to spend so long making sure i got the right book for him. she also read the back of all the books for me since im dyslexic. jade, you are an absolute angel :)) thank you !!
Good service. Small shop with not everything you might need stationary wise, bigger focus on books. Fine for Three Lamps.
Been here a few times now and they’ve almost always had what I’ve been looking for. Glad to have stumbled across the Pablo Escobar range I’d been dying to get my hands on as I couldn’t find them in any other stores. (Lucky find that day). Overall a pretty good place to browse in.
Found a few books I’d looked up online but had a very small selection in the physical store. Not sure if you can have books ordered through the store instead of online but it’d be a good thing if they could.
Didn’t have what I was looking for but a few books but the store was tidy and clean. Easy to find items and customer service was great.
Friendliest and most helpful experience I’ve had at a bookstore! The guy who answered the phone offered to put the book behind the counter for me as it was the last one. The lady who served me was bubbly and recommended me to use my receipt as a bookmark too. I’m not much of a reader so I really appreciate this genuine good service 😊
My son entered the lucky dip for 2$ and got a wrinkled up stick sheet and a already used mirror thing that broke in a few minutes.
i recomend you to sell pokemon cards if possible. Overall is a average shop.

Seems like I am not the only one to experience such horrible customer service! I picked up a couple of items advertised on the huge digital screens (wish there was an option to upload images so I could share) but was told the items were not in the “system”. Even when I told them they could be fined for false advertising, was pretty much told to p!ss off! Not sure why the airport admin have not taken any action given the terrible reviews.

Horrific experience at Relay Auckland airport store (pre-departure). When questioning why the item scanned at a higher price to the shelf price I was told to take it or leave it. I then opted to take the item only to have change thrown at my daughter accompanied by a seriously bad attitude. If this is how departing passengers are treated I won’t be calling on this store when next I return home with my family. Sunday 17.07.22 at around midday

Had a less than ideal experience with Whitcoulls Northwest. I had purchased a jigsaw puzzle mat which was notably defective. I had brought it to the store for a refund. The store manager too noted that the product was defective, however stated it was ‘fit for service’ and would happily resell the product at full price again.

While I am sure that there are many products that would be ‘fit for service’, I found the service here subpar and disappointing. If I were to purchase a chipped bowl, I would hope to receive a refund of the product even though technically it can be eaten from.

No apologies, refused to refund and would only provide store credit for a defective product.
Whitcoulls is where I get my VOGUE hit.
As a person who's been a model for 30+ years I need to keep current and the team at Whitcoulls St Lukes are amazing.
They're a super team.
They also have helped / guide me with gift books and books I need to read to escape my own occasionally dull life.

Closed 1 hr before the last flights departed. Left 200+ passengers with no way to buy water or snacks before 12+ hr long haul flights. They were the only store open, and they closed early, and were fully unapologetic when asked about it, in spite of posted hours saying they were open until after the flight left.
Terrible customer service, suspect they are only in business because of the monopoly they have at the airport.
Great range of cards, often half price. They sell stamps and their queue is way shorter than Paper Plus. They also sell a decent range of pens and puzzle books.

Great shop but zero room for disabled people to move around in mobility aids, I actually knocked over a stack of books... People immediately helped to pick them up but the isles are super narrow and its super hard to get around in this store in particular.
My workmate and I work at West City Mall in a customer service role and we were both shocked with how we were treated.

Earlier today I made a purchase in store and discovered Paper Plus offer printing/photocopying services. I previously tried searching online if they did but their website didn’t mention anything. Later on that day I went back to the store with one of my workmates to have a look at the printing/ photocopying prices. There were 2 staff at the counter. I asked the female staff if I could take a photo of the prices and she gave me permission. As my workmate and I were leaving the store we were abruptly approached by the other male staff who was the Manager/Owner. He questioned why we were taking photos of his store in a rude manner. I told him I had asked the lady if I could take a photo of the printing prices as there is nothing online and showed him the photo as proof. He said each store differs, said sorry and that he was being careful of people taking photos of his store.

However I believe the manager/owner treated my workmate and I rudely and with discrimination based on our race, age and gender. We are both young female adults and of different nationalities. I felt intimidated by the manager/owners use of his authority. If he has a problem with people taking photos in/of his store he needs to direct his staff not to give out permission next time. I apologised although we were not in the wrong.

Due to this experience myself and my workmate will not be coming back to this store. We will not be recommending Paper Plus Westcity to our coworkers, friends and family too.
Been buying birthday cards for my adult grandkiddies.
I did ask if they would buy cards for adult grandsons as the only ones there are for 11 years and younger. Told Whitcoulls staff member that I have been buying 5-6 year birthday cards putting a 2 in front. The 25 and 26 year old both thought it was great to receive a kiddies card again. All taken in good humour. Great staff.
Great store with ample quality variety of products. Beautiful cards, books, gift and art sections. Also does copying and laminations. Very helpful staff.
There is one woman in particular who was so helpful in helping me get particular books for me. I cant thank her enough. The staff I've found were always really helpful and nice, patiently took the time to help me, and went (what I felt) was put of their way to deliver awesome customer service! Really took the stress out of book hunting for me!
I absolutely love this place! It has everything, books, stationery, toys, souvenirs, coushions, cards, all sorts of gifts... I always find something unique here. And it is not crazy expensive like whitcouls. If you are after a charming birthday gift, this place is perfect.
Lovely couple are owners and work there, always pleasant, helpful and with a smile.
A really good bookshop that still sells books and has lots of other interesting things too. Games, puzzles and heaps of stationary. The staff were really helpful, even though it was incredibly busy, in helping me find a book that I couldn't locate in the store. Really good to still see books and book stores around in malls. Really recommend this branch. Well done all!
Horrible experience at this location. Staff and manager are so rude and unhelpful. Especially the girl with the purple streaks in her hair. They really need to work on their customer service skills. They don’t greet you with a smile when you walk in the door and it seems as though you’re interrupting them when you need assistance with something. DO NOT SHOP HERE! Would give 0 stars if I could.
A great book store. The owners are very nice and friendly. Prices are great. A typical hard working couple who owns this shop. Keep up the good work guys! Thumbs up!!

Great selection of books, games/puzzles, and greeting cards.
Service good , staff is friendly but the. Don’t have the replacement unit for the toy but we got the refund. We have to to silver park paper plus to get he new toy. All good. VH
