We visited the temporary exhibition about football (please don’t call it soccer). Bilingual (German/English) descriptions everywhere. Mostly photographs, I had hoped for videos with audio commentary, but none of that. Limited audio guide accessible through the Ruhr Museum app. Great photographs though. We didn’t book a tour but were able to listen in whilst strolling through the exhibition - I would recommend you book that guide!
Only a quick visit to the permanent exhibition, certainly a lot to explore.

Tolle Einzelführung, sehr informativ.
Wir haben das Red Dot Design Museum am Wochenende besucht und waren beeindruckt von den dort ausgestellten Exponaten. Das Museum ist gut strukturiert, wenn es zu den einzelnen Ausstellungsstücken jedoch nicht viele Informationen gibt. Hersteller und Produkttyp bzw. Verwendungszweck - mehr gab es nicht zu lesen.
Alles in allem ist ein Besuch sehr kurzweilig. Wer - wie wir - Fotos machen möchte, kann gute 2-3 Stunden einplanen.
Der Besuch des Museums lohnt sich übrigens mit einem Besuch bzw. einer Führung über die Zeche Zollverein zu verbinden! Hierfür gibt es auch Kombitickets.

Interesting building and that's it, the museum is incoherent and poor information for anyone not speaking German. Exhibitions jump between periods and random items that don't for together next to eachother and hard to follow some red thread. Nothing is explained and it's just, hey a thing, here's another thing, no info or background to the random item on display.

Very nice museum. Visited already two times and saw many interesting products. Ticket prices are really good. You can even enter it for free when you own a Ruhr.topcard.
Ich war mit meiner 7jährigen Tochter dort. Sie fand es interessant, gerade weil man auch so einiges Anfassen und ausprobieren konnte. Ich muss sagen, ich hatte mir etwas anders darunter vorgestellt. Eine Gruppe von Frauen hatten dort eine Führung und wir haben das ein oder andere davon mitbekommen, dass war sehr interessant. Ich weiß nicht, was es kosten würde, aber so eine Führung hätte ich definitiv gut gefunden.
I visited the Alte Synagoge for a cultural event. It was a pleasant journey through the Tango's lifetime. Miguel Wolf presented his attitude toward Tango and how he encountered it.

Lieux très intéressant mais pour ce qui est de l'exposition aller à Darty ce sera gratuit...
Haben gestern eine tolle engagierte Führung durch die KONTRASTE-Ausstellung erlebt. Unbedingt zu empfehlen !..Wir haben soviele neue Einblicke gewonnen. Vielen Dank dafür.

It's a beautiful Old Synagoge with an awesome history... A guided tour is recommended.. The guide explains each and every details.. and it's awesome...
If you only plan to go to one museum in Germany, THIS IS THE ONE. Very inspiring narrative. From pre-history, to history, to industrialisation, to change in people’s life and deterioration of environment, to transformation and recovery, the museum tells the entire story of the famous region - its birth, its development, its glory, its sorrow, its rebirth.
Here you can find the great history and many art pieces the place is also free you dont need any tickets to get inside and there are some decent projectors which you could have some fun with

Musée du design fascinant. Un must see.
It was very interesting for me as I was not familiar with Jewish beliefs before. The synagoge is gorgeous and you are free to explore all floors (for free) and stay as long as you like. There are also exibitions on each floor. I would highly recommend it to everyone!
Der Essener Domschatz ist eine der bedeutendsten Sammlungen kirchlicher Kunstwerke aus dem 10. und 11. Jahrhundert aus Deutschland. Eine Menge der Schatzstücke sind der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht wie z.B. das Essener Schwert, die kleine Lilienkrone, das Ensemble einzigartiger Vortragekreuze. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall ein Besuch. Ich bin absolut begeistert und kann diese Ausstellung einfach nur weiter empfehlen 👍

Really interesting! The museum inside is very modern done, lots of things to see and do. There is a wall with famous people that have some kind of Jewish relation, and you are able to see and learn some traditional Jewish dances. This was really fun to do.
Un lieu qui conserve l'esprit de l'époque et qui a su conserver intactes les installations initiales....a découvrir absolument si vous êtes amateur
Quite some history inside and some insight about Jewish history and difference in calendars. Interesting, would have loved to spend more and also wish to use the guide CD for more understanding of the beautiful culture. Next time shall dedicated more time. Loved it
