Découvert lors d'un temps libre d'un voyage organisé.
Ce petit musée à taille humaine est peu cher. Vous pouvez rapidement faire le tour en moins d'une heure. Attention cependant il ferme tôt dans l'après-midi.
Vous découvrirez une grande collection de maquette de navires et tout un tas d'autres choses.
Vous pourrez aussi admirer le phare du port situé en face du bâtiment.
Le lieu est équipé de WC et d'une boutique de souvenirs.

Niet heel groot, vooral veel miniatuur scheepjes. Maar het kost daarentegen ook maar €4 voor volwassenen en €3 voor kinderen.

Εξαιρετικό ναυτικό μουσείο με πλήθος εκθεμάτων τόσο από το Πολεμικό Ναυτικό όσο και από θαλάσσια είδη. Ο χώρος εξαιρετικός, το προσωπικό ευγενέστατο. Είσοδος 4€ . Στα Χανιά επιβάλλεται η επίσκεψη!
Wie sagt so schön "Klein, aber fein" , aber definitiv einen Besuch wert, tolle Schiffsmodelle, sehr gute Erklärungen, einfach mal machen, ein wenig Geschichte schadet nie
Επισκεφθήκαμε το Λαογραφικό Μουσείο Χανίων και ταξιδέψαμε στην Κρήτη του 19ου αιώνα. Συγκινητική εμπειρία που αξίζει να ζήσετε. Ευγενέστατοι και πολύ κατατοπιστικοί οι ιδιόκτητες. Φεύγοντας αγοράσαμε χειροποίητα έργα της κας Ειρήνης, η οποία είναι γνωστή για τη διάσωση της ναΐφ τέχνης (κεντήματος) στην Ελλάδα.
Klein maar zeer compleet! Voor liefhebbers van WO II is er een grote collectie. Wij liepen na het museum ook nog even over het plein van het fort. De uitkijktoren biedt een fantastisch uitzicht over Chania en de zee.
Un tout petit musée dans une maison crétoise qui retrace la vie d’antan. L’accès est un peu difficile à cause des marches mais une fois dedans c’est un voyage crétois folklorique qui s’offre à vous. Le propriétaire des lieux vous accueille avec un verre de Laki et sa maman à l’étage vous proposera ses broderies faites main.
Opens at 9am, excellent museum and most definitely worth a visit. It didn’t spoil our visit, but we checked one website that stated the museum was open at 8am. We spent about 1.5 hrs there and it was well presented, scrupulously clean, plus great experience all round. More to see outside and great views of the harbour. Highly recommend.
The Maritime Museum of Crete is located right at the port of Chania, and is only open on weekdays. On two floors it presents a rich exhibition of Cretan maritime history. Unfortunately, not everything is bilingual.
My personal highlight is the conversation with a member of the (currently three-strong) modeling team, who build almost all of the models on display here from wood, cardboard and wire. The average construction time is two years.
Conclusion: Versatile museum right at the harbour.
