Comida rica y a buen precio (no desorbitado).

Thank you for the delicious meal! This was the best haggis I've ever tasted. Even though I live in Japan, I hope to visit again.
Dined here on a Saturday night, they took our res last minute and restaurant was quite busy. I had the gnocchi and my partner had venison. Food was great and so was the service.

The best meal I had in Edinburgh, very impressed with all the dishes from starters to main, sides & dessert! You can tell the heart that the chef prepared the dishes, even the side presented like a main, I’m very happy with my dinner tonight,

LOVE this little gem we randomly found for a late Sunday "brunch"...more for the bubbles. John was fabulous and recommended the dauphinoise to go with the fillet...WOW! Both were delicious! We splurged on the bread and butter pudding for dessert...DO NOT SKIP THIS!
It's a cute little spot that I would love to visit again.

We had an amazing experience in this restaurant. We tried more than 10 of the dishesh together and each and every one of them was super delicious. The staff were really helpful and attended to us throughout the dinner. We spent more than two hours in the restaurant and the staff kept checking on us to make sure we had everything that we might need. The food is also really good for the uniqueness and the quality that you get. I cannot recommend this place enough if you want to have a unique experience in a nice place.

We went to here for lunch after a simple Google search. Unfortunately they don’t have the drinking license to welcome kids under 5 😂 just a heads up to parents who are visiting here! But the atmosphere we can tell was super good though!

Food 5/5
To start with, the bread (baguette) was amazing. I don’t remember the being so impressed by plain bread in a while (but then, that might be because I’m American). Delicately crispy on the outside and soft and almost sweet on the inside.

Every course since then was excellent as well. The parmesan chicken starter was so good (and very popular too—many tables besides mine also ordered it).

The lamb pithivier main was also very good. Very unique, too.

All the dishes were also of very generous portions.

Service 4.8/5
Very friendly staff. Came to take my order at a good time—including promptly noticing that I’ve finished my main course and asking if I want any dessert. The total time spent there was ~1h35m. It took about 20 mins for my starter to come, but I had the delicious bread to keep me company, and the fried chicken was worth the wait.

Atmosphere 4.6/5
Clean and comfortable. I loved the interior design.

I absolutely loved my dining experience here! On every course I was split between two delicious sounding options, and both David and Dana were amazing at helping me choose!

It has the vibe of "dark elegance," and I will definitely go here again! The steak tartare was so smooth and the lemon brulée needed a few good cracks to break which I loved! It paired lovely with thr late harvest dessert wine.

Prices were very reasonable. My total came to about £90, which included a cocktail, appetizer, entree, side, large glass of wine, dessert, and dessert wine.
Delicious meals, fabulous service, super friendly staff - exiting!! We had soup of the day, steamed mussels, goats cheese and fish (pan fried sea trout & pan fried cod) as well as chocolate & orange pave and baked figs. What can I say? All the way through perfect as it can be!!! And wait: you'll be pleasantly surprised when you get the bill - it's not more expensive than the nearest pub :-) Thank you for 2 incredible evenings at your place - I hope we'll see us again soon.

Visited Rollo based upon a recommendation from a native Scotsman. Was told the Crispy Haggis Bon bons were excellent. He wasn’t wrong. My roast pheasant main was outstanding as was my wife’s beer battered haddock.
Preislich absolut in Ordnung. Personal sehr zuvorkommend.
Went here last Friday food was amazing Gareth served us he was brilliant asked him loads of questions got me exactly what I wanted to eat thankyou Gareth service was brilliant will be going back lovely rustic place all staff were great flavours yummy
Very good modern European restaurant, located along George IV Bridge. Airy yet Scottish homely vibes. Eclectic seating arrangements, with a cool little alcove in one corner and a nice private seating area upstairs. The seafood tagliatelle was very well made, accompanied by the tasty artisanal bread.
Very busy restaurant, booking highly recommended. I had the mushroom and leek risotto starter which was full of flavour and the pork fillet main which while tasty the meat itself was pretty dry and chewy. Portion sizes are also a bit on the smaller side for the price. Think it may just have been a blip given all the other 5 star reviews. Atmosphere is good, service efficient and has good views across to the castle.

Incredible staff who made exceptional cocktails.
They managed to fit us in last minute, making us feel very welcome whilst we waited for the table to free up.
The food itself was exceptional. Some of the best venison and risotto I've ever tasted.
The staff were very friendly and very kind. They made a birthday very special for my partner.

I really loved this restaurant. Really interesting and well thought out dinner menu and the atmosphere is cosy but elevated.

I ordered the bread to share, the risotto to start and the mussels as a main - all were really tasty, especially the mussels!

The only thing that could have been slightly better was the service.. the waitress was a bit cold with us and we waited a very long time between courses for our food. For context, it was a table for 2 and we waited at least 30mins between starter and main. The person who served our mains was really friendly though.

Overall I had a good experience and would recommend The Outsider. Would love to come back and try the lunch menu.
Since relocating from Chicago to London, we have encountered difficulties in locating a reputable steakhouse. Subsequently, we reached the conclusion that the United Kingdom predominantly favors chicken and lamb as opposed to beef. However, our first assumption was incorrect. This restaurant offers some of the highest quality steak available. As an enthusiast of steak, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered a medium rare fillet and it was cooked flawlessly. Perfect crust on the outside, while the interior is pink, tender, and succulent. The hospitality and warmth of the staff members was exceptional. My daughter experienced a mild cough and was unable to consume any drinks. However, she was provided with a ginger-infused drink, which she thoroughly relished. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
Our food was delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly. We got scallops, ribeye, potatoes, spinach, and sticky toffee pudding. Our steak was very delicious and seasoned well. The sticky toffee pudding was really tasty but we substituted the clotted cream with salted Carmel ice cream which was a match made in heaven.
Great place with great reviews so we popped by. Our server was super helpful and very kind to us. Food was amazing and highly recommend for both kids and adults. Reasonably priced.
We came to Hawksmoor to have a proper Sunday Roast as a treat for my friends birthday weekend away, and we were not disappointed. Staff are so lovely, and the surroundings are fab, so lovely and plush but quirky! I had oysters with a pint of Guinness to start as I have never tried them, they were absolutely delicious! And the roast beef with all the trimmings was perfect. A huge fluffy Yorkshire pudding.. the gravy.. the stuffing.. all amazing. I barely had room for (but DID make room for) a divine bread and butter pudding with rum custard. So enjoyable, and felt very special for the birthday celebrations. Thanks so much!

Great little find along the Royal mile. I booked through Rae who was very friendly over the phone and just as nice when welcoming me. The cocktails were superb and the food was excellent. I had the scallops to start and the haggis neeps and tatties for main which was so tasty. All the staff were excellent and clearly well trained. Barman did great cocktails too. Would def come back again.

Very decent experience and tasting menu. The service was phenomenal and the food was well presented. The atmosphere was relaxing. We went for the 7-course tasting menu paired with drinks. The food was decent, some meals were not the best. The venison main and the pork was heavenly. The desert goats milk not so great, was quite sour; which is a shame given that it could have concluded the tasting menu properly. The drinks however were great. Overall, I would say this was very interesting but perhaps a bit overpriced.

If you have to eat one great meal in Edinburgh, definitely consider Aizle. We tried their lunch tasting menu, and as a vegetarian I was skeptical, but oh my, the food was good, and so flavourful. I highly recommend giving Aizle a shot!

I always like to treat myself to one really nice dinner when solo traveling, and this time it was Monteiths! I came in on Thursday night but the kitchen was closed, but I couldn’t get the amazing menu out of my head so I came back Friday evening and they were able to squeeze me in (fully booked otherwise, though! definitely should make a reservation!). I had the best meal with the most amazing service. The next time I find myself in Edinburgh, I most certainly will return!!
Lovely restaurant and beautiful food, friendly attentive professional staff. Reasonably priced for the quality.
Got busier later but the floor space is well laid out so not a problem but a good indication of its popularity. Highly recommend a meal here. Worth all the 5 stars. Will be back, well done to everyone working there.
Starter so hot could hardly eat them. So the scallops had little taste. Steak was excellent. Portion of chips , yip not going to say fries was on the frugal side. Creamed spinach was tasty. No draught ales disappointing for a top restaurant of that size. Dessert was sticky toffee pudding. You cant go wrong. Staff , Patrick in particular was very amiable. Overall is it worth the hype. Not so sure.
This place takes the cake for one of my all time favorite restaurants. The first time I came here, I was blown away by the exquisite dining experience, the beautiful interior, and the easily attainable price point. We sat with a beautiful view of the castle, and got some of the most amazing food ever. The next time I came back, was the day I proposed to my wife, and I requested the same table, and it was just as good as I remembered. This place is a must!
Came here as a celebration meal and was not disappointed. Gavin was a great host and waiter. His service was friendly and warm without being over bearing or pushy. He was very well informed, talking us through the menu and also sharing some personal favourites and recommendations. We went for the sharing prime rib and an array of sides. The buttered greens (hispi cabbage) were very tasty and the beef dripping chips were great. I wasn't a fan of the macaroni but it was a personal taste not a poor quality product. And the creamed spinach was a little bit too fine in the cut. However the rib of beef was delicious, cooked as recommended it came out medium and had a fantastic flavour. We shared a sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream ice cream and my partner had a flat white to finish. Both were good. We were intrigued by the salted caramel rolos but were too stuffed to try them. Could not recommend this place highly enough. The atmosphere ticked over without having a buzz or being overly busy but it was after 7.30 on a Thursday evening so I was not surprised.

I've been to this place maybe a dozen times since it opened and it is always, consistently... brilliant. An enticing menu of dishes that always deliver more than you expect, layers and layers of flavour and texture. Comfortable, well thought out room, warm and efficient service, good wines and an excellent espresso martini - it's just great.
Excellent restaurant with new daily specials each day in addition to the regular menu. Lunch prices are great value. Food is delicious with great flavours and service is attentive without being intrusive. Have visited many times and have had a great experience each time. Some tables even have a castle view! Highly recommend.
A well executed light lunch. I didn't enjoy the atmosphere as much though. Price slightly on the high side for the overall experience. The timber rawness of the space was also reflected in their poor workmanship of the floor board installation. Every time their servers walked around me, the floor board acted like a see-saw and bounced my chair. For a few times, I was putting food towards my mouth when that happened. So embarrassing that I almost missed it and made a mess. The interior dining area was rather chilled even in the summertime. Toilet facilities were inside an added-on cubicle and felt too temporary to be comfortable.
Took my wife for Mother’s Day last Sunday. The menu was creative, the decor imaginative and subtle, the waitresses all very friendly and efficient, our table nicely appointed and the background music was exactly right for this bistro style restaurant. The food was delivered in good time and very enjoyable. Would rethink the homemade ketchup with Beef Carpaccio (overpowering - some things are best left traditional) but not so much to reduce the 5 stars we have given. Is dog friendly too which is important to us. Highly recommend this Grange/Meadows neighbourhood restaurant and will certainly return. Shame they don’t open every Sunday. Adrian, Catherine and Fudge 🐶.
Once included in Michelin guide, Rabbit hole still offer the pleasant food.
The restaurant gives me the sense of coziness not private but still relaxing.
The complimentary bread and the dipping sauce is nice.

The star for me is the Scottish border roe deer. The meat is very succulent and tender combining with the sauce I couldn’t smell any unpleasant flavors from it. Quite recommended
The seafood plaice and mussel dish is creamy and flavorful as well.
All the main dishes don’t come with side dish so you need to order things to combine the dish
Its French fries is the cheapest choice and it’s ok.

The interior is great and the toilet is quite impressive, and it’s not far from the meadows.

I think you won’t disappoint coming to try this restaurant.
Absolutely outstanding lunch - service is notably good, very personable and professional. Food is always brilliant, and in a beautiful setting.

Salmon to start.
Bone-in Rib-eye for main, with all the necessary trimmings.
Sticky Toffee for pud.

We had cocktails on valentines day and it was so lovely. The musics, the stuff and the goddess figures everywhere 🥰😍😍
I will definitely go there for a dinner too as i sniffed so good smells from the next table.
One thing I can suggest to increase vegan options but that is mentioned as they take the cheese of some dishes and they are vegan.

This is a family-run restaurant. It's not a lot of space but it's cozy. The dishes are good, but not amazing; the speed of food served was slow that we almost stayed for 3 hours before leaving.
The whole experience was fantastic. First class service, every dish was perfect and delicious I honestly couldn’t fault it. We had the beef and bacon Yorkshire/ crab toast to start and steaks for mains. Steak was first class cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful and all the sides also. The waiter was excellent and yes it very expensive but it was worth it.
Wonderful experience.

Communicated in advance and asked about dining there with two young children. While they don't have a kids menu, there was no problem sharing meals, which they totally lived up to in our experience there.

My wife had the Sunday roast which she really enjoyed. My son and I enjoyed a really nice steak, while my youngest was very happy with his makeshift sandwich of bread and bacon.

We loved the sticky toffee pudding!

Finally, the service was extremely friendly and welcoming. We would be very happy to come again in the future.
Looking through past reviews and was drawn to the fact that the restaurant has a view of the castle and nice scenery. However the 3 tables facing the window with a view is only available upon booking nonetheless, we still were welcomed with the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant and were well seated at a corner. The food was delightful too. I ordered the fish cake dish and was pleasantly surprised with the quality since fish cake tend to be mushy. This was differently. The fish cake crust was well cooked and its inside were well stuffed with prawns.

Both my gf and I enjoyed the food and as mentioned in the other reviews, the price is very reasonable too. 2 main dishes costs us £19.

Went to celebrate a friends birthday in quite a large group and we were hosted very well !! Due to our group size (14) we were told to pre-order and all the food came timely and correct. The barley risotto beef main wasn’t a favourite but I would recommend the scotch egg starter which was perfectly jammy. The service was lovely and the waitresses were very accommodating. It was a bit hot in the restaurant but that’s the only minor complaint.

Fabulous meal! The servers were well trained and able to answer a ton of questions we had about the food and wines. Truly an outstanding meal! Highly recommend!
Prima betaalbaar eten,

The dishes were absolutely delicious. The combinations of ingredients and tastes were really well combined. The Wine pairing was also great! The staff were inclined on helping with every need. Furthermore the staff had excellent knowledge of what was served.
I came in last minute with no reservation so I was delighted when the waitress shifted things around. The manager made time to have a chat with me even though the restaurant was busy. Honestly the food was amazing. I had the oysters and the Venison and it was outstanding. So much so that I had to ask the name of the chef. Thank you Carlo! The home made bread was phenomenal too

Very warm and friendly atmosphere with rustic decor. Every dish was above average. The staff were super friendly. My favourite was the beet salad with cheese.
Lekkere worst en veel keuze qua worsten en saus. Lekkere Fish Pie.
The Grain Store is phenomenal. We were fortunate that they had a cancellation and were able to squeeze us in on short notice. The staff was fantastic at taking care of our needs, the atmosphere is historic and wonderful, and the food is amazing. I would strongly recommend the venison and the scallops.
I was really impressed by the atmosphere of this restaurant and how welcomed I was made to feel by Paul who gave me some great advice on the menu. Carlos our Chef prepared a super tasty Braised Brisket and the meat was simply perfect! I will definitely return next time I visit Edinburgh.
Außergewöhnliche Gescmackserlebnisse allerdings alles andere als billig. 1050 Pfund für 14 Personen.
Das vegetarische Viergängemenü war einfach eine Katastrophe. Alles schmeckt gleich.
