It was a Easter holiday and unfortunately I couldn’t visit inside of it. But it looks great and fabulous.

Well worth a visit. Don't be cheap, pay the €8 and go in. You'll get better photos.

Really amazing place with awesome athmosphere. Every statue, every stone and the drop of send here return the visitors into ancient times where the heroes of greek legends were alive.. Fantastic landscape opens to those who was dire to up to the hill. It definitely worths to visit this place of Ancient Greece.

Lots of people but the sights made our trip to Greece worth it! The view over the city was amazing. FYI They hold strictly to the entrance time, and the earliest you can get in is 15 minutes to your scheduled time.
A wonderful place for observing Athens and especially the Acropolis.
It is recommended to arrive at sunset.

Beautiful experience in Athens! Amazing to see the ruins and buildings that date back thousands of years! Highly recommend! Plenty of great photo opportunities! Tons of history and information. For more travel advice check out Adventure on a Dime on Medium.

Thanks

Must visit site with historic architecture aplenty. The hilltop at Acropolis should be on every visitor list to Athens. It's simply amazing.
People compared this to the Parthenon but honestly it is at a different scale. A better reference is the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, which is exactly the same and with the same architect (?), though half destroyed and less preserved. So please go visit both temples, the comparison makes you appreciate both more!

Beautiful place. I came at 1am so I could get pictures without the crowds. The night time also has a magical feel but unfortunately all gates were closed

Completely stunning. I'd highly recommend going early in the day, the wait will be shorter and in summer there is no shade so cooler for walking.

There is a lift if you need more accessibility, but wheelchair users may struggle.

It was a very sunny and hot day but I'm glad we made our trip here. Entrance into the area was 10 euros per ticket per adult. What fascinated me is how well preserved it was! You can still see the details on the top. You can also see how the columns are actually built, in stacks. Now I know why our Acropolis tour guide Oratrice told us that the columns are earth quake proof. On the way up to the temple I could imagine myself as the farmer villager who is leading my sacrifice up the temple to be sacrificed... A must visit, and thanks to my tour guide who recommended us to come take a look! I came in Apr, off peak season. No wait but there were groups and groups of school students.
I honestly wasn't about to walk up.the stairs to the temple. But decided that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I couldn't be that close and not go. Well worth every last tiring step.it took me to get there.

Absolutely stunning. Visited in April, busy but not packed like I’ve been told. Key points: bathrooms are scarce, so plan accordingly and there’s lines. Buy tickets prior to arrival if you’re able, or search a walking guide tour that includes entrance tickets. Worth experiencing yourself!
There are no words to review this place. Parthenon is a wonder of our human culture. Built on Acropolis hill, this building is a temple and was used as a mosque and a church under various rulers of Athens. Now, the reconstruction work is going on and the added sculptures are almost 100% ruined but the structure still stands. Visiting Acropolis Museum surely clears the structural idea of the Parthenon.
This is a large site full of surprises and impressive finds.
We wanted to go as the Temple of Hephaestus is the best preserved temple of its kind in Greece. What we found was a massive site, which includes both the temple and the ancient Agora (market), many building as well as the museum which showcases the finds from the site.

Like many sites of its kind, it has been used for trade and worship since pre-historic times until recent history. The finds reflect this journey.

The site itself is located right below the Acropolis, and on a clear day, it's size and locations offers a natural, unobstructed view of the Acropolis, above.

We explored the site, it's many paths and discoveries, all steeped in local flora. It's size allows freedom of movement and exploration, and the buildings, ruins and statues are absolutely wonderful.

Site entry in €10 per person (€5 between November and April). They offer a "bundle" ticket for €30 for all the archaeological sites in the city (incl. The Acropolis, which, in high season is €20 per person). Worth checking first!

We were here on a Saturday of a long weekend. There was a queue that took around 10mins to go through. Getting there, though, meant going through very, very crowded areas.

I love this place because this is a great place to visit when you come to Athens. it is located in the city centre and close to the other other tourist attractions. It’s a great place to spend your time with your friends and family. There are many things to see that are quite interesting for you to learn from. I’d say this place is pretty historical itself.
You do not need to buy tickets to come to this place as it is free for public. You can pretty much see the city of Athens from here. Be careful when you climbing up the hill it’s pretty rocky. Wear comfortable shoes!
Breathtakingly beautiful piece of history and architecture. I’d recommend going early in the morning, first thing when the acropolis opens, as it can get very busy and crowded later on during the day. I downloaded the audio guide which was quite good and as I’m a slow reader it helped.

Lots to look at apart from the Panthenon too. Beautiful views over Athens on the terrace/ balcony/ platform.

A must visit !

It is a great place to watch the sun set over the Acropolis and the city of Athens. After the lights are turned on, the Acropolis looks stunning against a dark blue sky. A visit to the small hill is highly recommended, but be careful of the slippery rocks.
You can go up this hill for free. You get a great view of the Acropolis and the city. The path is a bit slippery, and the stairs are narrow, so be careful when you go up to see it.
One of a must-see for any visitor to Athens!
Great views.
Beautiful view from the top of the rock. You have a great view to the Acropolis but also the ancient Agora of Athens. Especially during sunset it is beautiful to see the sky from this hill. Also the view of the Acropolis is very nice from here. The hill you can enter for free, it is a bit rocky and might be hard to walk for old people.

Pass a 30 euros permetant l accès a 5 sites.

There is a great location for walking & morning exercise.
