Im evaluating for restaurant . I drunk beer Radler. I recommend you this beer. Employees were very kind people .Some of them know turkish. You can hear stream water sound when you are sitting around outside area of restaurant. It was very good experience for nature lovers. Beer was 5.6 eur for 50cl

Wir waren im Januar ein Wochenende spontan in Freiburg und suchten nach einem guten Restaurant.
Bei Trip-Advisor wurde dieses Restaurant empfohlen als gutbürgerliches Restaurant.
Spontan haben wir dann für Abends noch einen Tisch reservieren können, ohne Reservierung wird es -denke ich- schwierig.
Der Service war hervorragend! Die Kellnerin war voll in ihrem Element und man merkte, dass Sie das was sie macht gerne tut!
Das Essen war ebenfalls hervorragend, wir hatten 2 Steaks mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat.
Das Ambiente war gut bürgerlich, das Publikum eher im gehobenen Alter, aber das war genau das was wir gesucht haben.
Wir würden definitiv noch einmal wieder kommen!

Wir haben sehr gute Burger gegessen. Und obwohl wir vor dem Burger Lust auf Dessert hatten, gab es dafür keinen Platz mehr.

Leider mussten wir lange warten, zuerst auf die Bestellung, dann aufs Essen. Dann war das gewünschte Gericht einer ohnehin sehr kleinen Karte ausverkauft. Qualität des Essens war aber gut.

Great value for price! It's quite loud, but only due to the great atmosphere 😃. Both Kartoffelgratin and Rinderhüftsteak were delicious.

Gestern war ich da mit Freunden und gab es ein Fehler bei der Rechnung. Die Kellner wollten, dass wir nochmals zahlen, die Biers, die schon mit Bargeld bezahlt wurden.
Sie haben sehr unfreundlich reagiert und wollten nicht die Rechnung für die Barzahlung suchen.
Nicht zu empfehlen.

Leider sowas hab ich noch nie erlebt. Wir haben getrennt bezahlt. Die Karten Zahlung könnten sie uns vorweisen und 1 Barzahlung das getätigt würde war kein Rechnung zu sehen. Anscheinend fehlte 2 Getränke zu zahlen und ein davon war ein System Fehler. Trotzdem Herausforderungen der Rechnung gab keins. Es hieß wir sollen raus und nicht mehr kommen. Nicht versucht zu klären. Wir fand sehr unverschämt. Hätten wir auch bezahlt wenn es gefällt hätte.
Finde sehr traurig das ein schöner Abend ein Albtraum würde.

Zuerst waren die Belege falsch. Dann wurde unterstellt, dass der zuvor bar bezahlte Betrag noch zu begleichen sei, da die Kasse nur Kartenzahlung nachweisen kann. Wurden dann sehr unfreundlich nach draußen gebeten. Kommentare wie "armes Deutschland" gehört bei diesem Personal wohl auch zum freundlichen Ton.

Wir waren zuletzt vor über 20 Jahren als Studis dort. Die Brennnessel ist immernoch genial. Gutes Essen, mega fittes und freundliches Team. Gute Musik, absolut zum Wohlfühlen ♡

Das Essen ist super und ist auch für Vegetarier und Veganer geeignet. Allerdings hatten wir eine Wartezeit von fast anderthalb Stunden bis das Essen kam.
Der Laden war komplett voll und es waren nur drei Servicemitarbeitende da. Das war schlicht zu wenig, evtl. war es aber nur an diesem Tag so. (Vorweihnachtszeit).
Grundsätzlich ist es sehr nett dort und das Essen toll.

Da italiano ho scelto questo ristorante perché poco turistico e frequentato da persone del posto.
Gli hamburger sono un po' particolari (sapori contrastanti) ma di buona qualità e di buona porzione.
Ho mangiato anche la cotoletta che non è impanata ma veramente buona con tantissime patatine e un sughetto molto saporito.
Porzioni in genere generose.
Prezzi nella media del posto o forse poco inferiori.
Un posto da tenere in riferimento.

Ich habe meine eigene Fotobox für die Firmenfeier von Lexware im Lebmann Restaurant in Freiburg aufgebaut, und ich muss sagen: Es war der absolute Hammer! Das gesamte Team im Restaurant und der Chef sind mega cool drauf.

Sie waren nicht nur professionell, sondern auch super cool drauf! Egal, ob es um das Einrichten der Fotobox ging oder um meine Fragen zur Location - sie standen immer parat

Das Lebmann Restaurant hat dieses unglaublich relaxte Ambiente, das perfekt für eine Firmenfeier ist. Es ist gemütlich und gleichzeitig bietet es genug Platz für kleinere bis mittlere Veranstaltungen.

Wenn du eine Firmenfeier in Freiburg im Breisgau planst und nach einem Ort suchst, der einfach passt, dann ist das Lebmann Restaurant die absolut richtige Wahl! Meine Empfehlung als Fotobox-Vermieter? Definitiv hier feiern!

Waren mit 5 Personen zum Abendessen. Der Service war sehr persönlich und aufmerksam, spezielle Kinderkarte.
Zum Überbrücken der Zeit gibt es für Kinder Hauseigene Mal Bilder und Stifte.
Getränke und Bestellung wurden schnell aufgenommen, Gruß aus der Küche auch.
Für ein volles Gasthaus an einem Sonntag war die Wartezeit angenehm.
Das Essen war sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet.
Das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis ist echt angenehm. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Ein sehr schönes, gepflegtes Restaurant. Obwohl sehr viel betrieb war, kamen die Bedingungen schnell und waren freundlich. Die Auswahl auf der Speisekarte ist breit und bietet Speisen im moderaten Preisbereich bis zu hochpreisigen Speisen.

Geschmacklich sehr zu empfehlen. Die Essen waren in sich sehr gut abgestimmt und mit viel Liebe zum Detail zubereitet. Mein persönliches Highlight ist das Geschnetzelte. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Eindeutig ein Laden für Studenten, wir waren allerdings mit Kindern da, die sich auch wohlfühlten. Tolle sehr preiswerte Gerichte, die allen schmeckten. Junges, engagiertes Team.

Food took a long time to come out. My pork was overcooked. The rest of the food were very good!

No frills traditional German food. If you like schnitzel, then the Goldener Anker is a must. Fours kinds of schnitzel plus cordon bleu. I love schnitzel, but ended up trying the sauerbraten, which was delicious, though too vinegary for my wife. We went on a Monday night and the place was jammed with old-school locals. We were lucky to get a spot on a shared table. I'm coming back for schnitzel!

Very nice Schniztels, we had several "beilagen" but the Bragele was the best. Staff was very nice and friendly.

Fantastic restaurant! Had the Wienerschnitzel, with German potato salad which was brilliant. Also tried 2 kinds of schnapps, one with apple (Boskoop apple) and the other made with wild plums (traditional to region). Delicious! Hospitable, fun owner. Reservations essential. Popular for a reason.

Klassisches Lokalambiente mit reichlich Platz. Dazu eine sehr freundliche, zuvorkommend, hilfsbereite Belegschaft. Gutes Essen mit passendem Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Ein nochmaliger Besuch nicht ausgeschlossen...zu empfehlen.

Amazing Kalbschnitzel and Wienerschnitzel. The service is terrific. It's a 5 minute walk from the Altststsdt and 10 mins from the train station. Go there!

Ein sehr gastfreundliches Haus

Wir waren während unseres einwöchigen Freiburg-Urlaubs zweimal hier. Beide Male hatten wir Plätze auf der Terrasse, wo wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben.
Dazu haben vor allem die badische Freundlichkeit der Eigentümer und des Personals sowie die Qualität der Speisen und des Weins und nicht zuletzt das herrliche Wetter beigetragen.
Wir können dieses Haus uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

I just went here to eat with my twelve year old daughter, because the place looks very nice and authentic.
While I was translating the menu for my daughter I overheard one of the employees say to hide colleague "Ja, das ist kein Schnitzel-und-Pommes-Restaurant". Duly noted (I had already seen that when checking out the menu before sitting down). And maybe a note to this guy; German is not some kind of secret language nobody understands...

Besides that comment everything else was lovely. Great food, good atmosphere and good service. Be prepared to be photographed by tourist groups standing on the other side of the water.

The service here was quite quick.
The main dish came out literally 2 minutes after we got our salads. Not sure if it was meant as a side dish and not an appetizer though. The Käsespätzle was a little overcooked in my opinion but the Schäufle was good. The location is great and it has nice outdoor seating.

I'm a bit conflicted about this experience. the waitress seemed a bit cold at first, but maybe I'm too used to the fake smiles other waiters use. decor was so fitting and intriguing we actually discussed it for a while. food and drinks were on our table VERY fast, faster than ive ever experienced anywhere else I think. here's where I'm more conflicted; portions were absolutely massive. to me thats bad because either I overeat or create food waste. it also lacked seasoning but after adding some salt which was on the table already, something I appreciate greatly, the meal was delightful. prices are dirtcheap for the amount of food you get on your plate. for us 3 we had 2 drinks each, a salad for 1 of us, each a meal and an espresso and we payed under 80 euros. amazing!

This restaurant of fine German dining has its act together. Definitely worth the experience. Service was attentive and courteous. The ambience is amazing, wonderful view of Freiburg. If possible schedule your reservation 1-1.5 hour before sunset if the weather is right you will not be disappointed. The food flavor was excellent and the meat tender with just right medium preparation. Many compliments to the chef for near perfection! One of the best for sure. Romantic and quiet indoors, open air and cozy outdoors.

Ein Samstagmorgen - zum Vergessen beim Lebemann in Freiburg
An und für sich bin ich guter Dinge in den vergangenen Samstag gestartet – Aufstehen und Duschen, dann zum Friseur, anschließend ein gutes Frühstück im Restaurant Lebemann in der Habsburger Straße, danach Shoppen und Bummeln.
Doch es kam ganz anders – wobei mir die Art und Weise, wie es dazu kam, ganz besonders sauer aufstößt. Im Nachhinein bin ich schlauer – am Restaurant Lebemann werde ich zukünftig vorbei- anstelle hineingehen.
Und warum das?
Lebemann öffnet samstags um 10.00 Uhr. Ich war mit meiner Begleitung pünktlich da und suchte mir einen Platz auf der Außenterrasse. Blitzschnell kam die weibliche Bedienung und drängte uns, zu bestellen – ohne Karte, einfach so. Auf Nachfrage kam die Karte und wir gaben - mit Vorfreude auf Fitnessfrühstück, Omelette mit Champignons und Zwiebeln die Bestellung auf.
Doch – jetzt begann das Warten. 15 Minuten, 30 und 45 Minuten bis zu einer Stunde. Nichts tat sich. Auf unsere mehrmaligen Nachfragen, wann wir denn endlich an der Reihe seien, wurden wir burschikos bis genervt abgebürstet mit dem Hinweis, „dass die Bedienung jetzt mal in der Küche ,,Stress,, machen wolle“.
Von den 8 Tischen auf der Terrasse waren mehr als die Hälfte besetzt – und die dortigen Gäste hatten mittlerweile ihr Frühstück beendet. Nach geschlagenen 75 Minuten, anders gesagt eineinviertel Stunde, wurde unser Frühstück gebracht.
Was mich überaus störte und zunehmend mehr stört, je länger ich darüber nachdenke, das war diese impertinente Ignoranz und Arroganz des Servierpersonals. Von Kommunikation, Freundlichkeit oder gar einer für diese lange Wartezeit auch nur geringsten Entschuldigung – keine Spur. Als wenn es das Normalste von der Welt wäre, Frühstücksgäste mehr als eine Stunde lang kommentarlos sitzen zu lassen. Geschweige denn, dass wir gefragt wurden, ob es uns geschmeckt hat, ob wir noch ein Getränk möchten oder weitere Wünsche haben. Vielleicht hätten wir ja?
Lebemann sucht auf seiner Homepage geradezu händeringend Servicekräfte!
Ich kann nur raten, das jetzige Servicepersonal schnellstmöglich auszutauschen. Dessen Verhalten ist regelrecht geschäftsschädigend – und wenn sich niemand dazu äußert, dann erfahren die Inhaber auch nichts davon.
Ihnen bleiben nach und nach die Gäste weg, weil Filiz & Co. gar nicht mitbekommen, was sich beim Lebemann-Service so tut. Im Grunde genommen wünschen sich die Besucher nichts anderes als – ein aufmerksam serviertes Frühstück zum Start ins Wochenende, eine angenehme Stimmung sowie ein freundliches Servicepersonal – bestenfalls mit einem sympathischen Lächeln auf den Lippen. Dann fällt das Trinkgeld gern auch mal etwas üppiger aus!

Vielen Dank für einen rundum gelungenen Abend! Service unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam, das Essen war hervorragend, die Terrasse ist wunderschön und auch die Räumlichkeiten sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder 👍

Das Essen war gut, aber auch wiederum nichts besonderes, Preis Leistung finde ich etwas überspannt. Was aber gar nicht geht, das man überall von Zigarettenqualm eingeräuchert wird. Wenn ich in einem hochpreisigen Restaurant esse möchte ich nicht überall eingeräuchert werden, auch auf der Terrasse nicht!!!! Das geht gar nicht und ist für mich nicht akzeptabel.

It’s a lovely restaurant with everything locally sourced and fresh. However, for me, everything tasted ‘too healthy’, plain and without much flavour. But I’m glad I tried white asparagus, it was really juicy and crunchy, very different from the green asparagus I’m used to.

Das Essen ist super frisch und sehr lecker.
Wir hatten Schnitzel mit Knöpfle und Sauce, dazu einen Beilagensalat.
Die Qualität des Essens und vor allem die mutige Würze hat uns echt begeistert.
Zum Dessert gab's Apfelküchle, die besten die ich je hatte.
Der Service war sehr nett, aufmerksam und humorvoll. Hat leider zu späteren Stunde etwas nachgelassen.

Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Poor service, unfriendly Asian waitress. Baden sauerbraten was overcooked and was hard to eat. However this is compensated by escargot which was superb. Food serving was slow which took about an hour despite the restaurant was not too busy.

Great food and great concept to have all the dishes based around potatoes. There was still a big enough choice of items to have as little or as many potatoes as one could handle.

The potato soup was thick and creamy and full of flavor.

The lamb meatballs were equally delicious, but I got full on the soup and couldn’t finish it all haha.

I’d definitely recommend coming here if you’re in the area and making a reservation since they get busy quickly.

Good food. Had schnitzel with fried potatoes and schnitzel with spaetzle. Fried potatoes were better.

Ich hätte gerne 5* gegeben, aber eine Wartezeit von guten 75-90Min. bis das Essen kommt geht für mich gar nicht. Auch, wenn der Laden voll ist. Um 21:30 wollte ich eigentlich fertig sein. Und die Portionen waren recht übersichtlich. Also für den großen Hunger lieber mehr bestellen. Davon abgesehen aber ein urige und sehr freundliches Gasthaus. Das Essen war sehr gut und lecker. Wir haben auch dort übernachtet in einem wunderschönen Zimmer mit Balken. Das Bett war einfach wunderbar und wir haben hervorragend geschlafen. Morgens dann ein tolles Frühstück mit allem, was das Herz begehrt. 104€ sind dafür sehr okay!

You'll probably find more tourists than local people, but the restaurant offers a good variety of dishes at affordable prices. They're open till late, we had dinner around 10pm as earlier there was a queue. Staff is very kind. Highly recommended.

Nice ambience, good food, ordered schnitzel and cordon-blue ,it was served with a large portion of salad, overall enjoyed the meal 💕

The fish was delicious! But the sausages were a bit salty. The creamed potatoes were good. There are high standards for the selection of ingredients.

I have been here maybe 15 years before but I was well impressed.
I admit that we were lucky and got one of the best tables at the terrace. I recommend booking in advance because the terrace was fully booked on Saturday already a day before.
The place is well kept but not too formal, the obvious highlight is the terrace with the amazing view on the city.
The service was really good, fast and attentive without being intrusive, and at least some waiters speak English.
The food is also quite good, quite a twist on typical German foods. Also a wide range if vegetarian and vegan options is available.
Prices are in line with the quality, medium-upper range.
Will be happy to come back in the future.

Absolutely delicious! So nice getting a glass of ice for my cider. The Sternen Dreierlei was such a big portion that I felt bad leaving so much! Lovely spot to sit outside in the shade.

A jewel in the heart of Stuhlinger/Buhl. Their Argentine rumpsteaks are sublime, possibly the best rumpsteak experience you'll ever have. I love this place!!

There are a lot of customers in this restaurant, so you need to wait. At that time, I couldn't see the Black Forest cake at the scene, and I was very disappointed. But the manager told me that he would take out the finished cake soon, and he would keep a piece for me. So in the end I ate the Black Forest Cake and it was delicious. The cream had a strong cherry wine flavor and the cake was soft.

Très déçus, nous nous sommes déplacés pour RIEN car ce restaurant disait être ouvert mais visiblement les horaires indiqués sur Google ne sont PAS FIABLES. Les congés annuels sont censés être annoncés et mis à jour sur Google... Dommage.

We have a very nice lunch, the restaurant is well organized & perfectly respecting the social distancing rules. Services was excellent, very friendly & fast to serve the table.

The food was delicious, many dishes looked delicious so it was tough to choose :) we opted for the coconut curry & pork schnitzel. Coffee was outstanding too !

We stopped by Das Kartoffelhaus for lunch during a day trip to Freiburg. Great food and friendly service. The gratin was perfect and my wife ordered trout. I ordered the bratwurst. It tasted awesome although it was a a bit crispy in places. Otherwise a decent place for a lunch

I do not know why give 5 stars, because the fan of the nearby transformation box was too loud, the waitress forgot me a few times with the wine and I finally missed to pee into a tuba. Therefore I try to analyse, why the heck I give 5 stars. The "restaurant" Goldener Sternen is located at the edge of a cosy little place in the middle of a residential area. They actually don't want to be a restaurant, rather a german "Wirtshaus" which could be translated with a kind of better tavern. But let us jump right in: I was sitting there next to the loud fan of the transformation box, waiting for the french red wine I ordered and finally I got it. With it came the most honest "Sorry" I have ever received. Obvisiouly the waitress was alone and pretty busy serving a whole restaurant. I think that's when I started feeling right at this place. Next to my table there sat an old aged couple. "I bet they are capable of feeling the breeze from the fan" thought I while taking a sip of my wine. The wine was cooled down due to the high temperature outside. "Delicious" that's what I thought when the odour reached the receptors of my nose. Magic happened as I was now ready to choose my meal. Was I? Rather not. I dangeled between something seasonal and something classical. There must be higher force, because right in this moment a new odour filled my nose which let me screen through the menu like Samson from Chip and Chap: Muenster. Here it was the "Goldener Sternen" Cordon Bleu filled with this original cheese. Not for everyone, but perfect for me. I wondered why the waitor grinned while he served my dish, but I bet he knew I will have to write a review after tasting their best. Delicious! Simple, but simply delicious! I closed my visit with a cut-up and sugared pancake with(out) raisins called "Kaiserschmarrn" and left the place with a big smile on my face.

In keeping with the name, this restaurant mainly serves potato-based dishes. It is fantastic too see how versatile different types of potatoes are transformed into appetizers, soups, mains and sides. The staff was very kind and the service was impeccable, fast yet not rushed. My gratin potato filled with lamb ragout was really delicious, and the same goes for the other dishes that were ordered. Definitely recommended!

A very good restaurant that worth to visit, very well serve delicious food with great environment and a typical German place to recommend to people who visit Freiburg and want to taste good food. The nice people who work for it make it very special!

Meatiest mouth bags (Maultaschen) I have ever had loaded with a mountain of melted onions. Pretty good stuff. Service was generally super nice except that one dude...but who cares about one dude. Thanks.

Nice Biergarten and a good venue for drinks but the food offering and service is somewhat poor. We waited over an hour for our meals and when they arrived the quality was far below our expectations. Over-dressed salads and poor presentation did not help. Clearly this place is fine for a beer but for dinner there are better destinations.

Had a great time at Goldener Anker while we were visiting Freiburg. We were three of us (colleagues and friends) travelling and wanted to eat original Schnitzel in à German restaurant vibe. We definitely fell on the right place; the restaurant as a family vibe and German style (serving original dishes from Germany, as well as beers and wine).

We had an amazing time and the waiter helped us out with the menu which was very kind.
