I came in with very high expectations and I have to say a lot of details are wonderfully polished and much thought and creativity went into the final product.
At the end of the day, I think it’s important to keep in mind that central more of an art form and an experience than a meal.

It’s with good reason that Central is right at the top of the worlds best dining experiences. This was like being in a science lab for food, the room is all beautiful clean modernist lines and the open kitchen is great to watch. The food is interesting, different, and really does feel like a trip through Peru. Everything is well explained and you even get a little book afterwards. This is the kind of place I will remember for a long time.

To begin with, the service was fine. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. However, this was the only aspect of our dining experience that met expectations.
The food was a complete disaster. One particularly egregious issue was a small lobster course in our larger meal. We were served what we assumed to be properly cooked lobster, only to discover later through photos and reviews that it was meant to be fully cooked. What we received was essentially raw, a dangerous oversight that is absolutely inexcusable for any restaurant, let alone one of Central’s supposed caliber.
This wasn’t just a culinary misstep; it was a serious health hazard. I ended up with food poisoning, had to see a doctor, and missed out on my last days in Peru. Trusting a renowned establishment to deliver safe, properly cooked food should be a given, but Central failed spectacularly. Serving undercooked seafood is not just disappointing; it’s negligent.
To make matters worse, when we tried to contact the restaurant to address the issue, they refused to accept any accountability. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable and added insult to injury.
Moreover, while many of the courses were beautifully presented, they were disgusting to taste. The flavors were bizarre and unbalanced, making the dishes nearly inedible. Stumbled across this lovely intimate restaurant. Loved the wine of the day, and the food was perfection. Can’t wait to come back to try more of the menu.
The rooftop bar is spacious and nicely designed. The staff is extremely friendly, fast and attentive - so far the best service we had in Peru. The drinks were great and the food (shrimps in coconut panko) was tasty. Everything at a fair price given the fancy atmosphere of the bar. We highly recommend the place for a special night out!
Me encantó la vista, demasiado hermoso. Considero que la atención fue amable y muy rápida, los pedidos demoran máximo 15 o 20 minutos. La carta es variada, los precios son medios y dentro del promedio. Debo decir que la comida me gustó mucho, sin embargo las porciones no son tan grandes, la pizza no la recomiendo para nada, es lo único que no me gustó debido a la masa y a qué se enfría tan rápido que después ya no tiene gracia comerla. Además, el lugar y el estacionamiento se llenan totalmente en horas punta, por lo que se debe ir con tiempo.
El lugar es rústico pero sucio. Limpian las mesas con servilletas sucias. Lugar bien ambientados pero sucio.

El postre , brownie con helado estaba seco y el moso derramó el hielo seco sobre el postre. Con decirle que hasta el canto de los cumpleaños era desabrido y sin ánimo por parte de los mozos. Cuando pedí la jalea llegó casi 1 hora después cuando no tenía hambre..

We went with the vegetarian moment offering. It absolutely blew our mind and palate. We had so many native vegetables that we could barely recognize but impressed beyond words could express.

Words can not describe how much I enjoyed my meal here. I am so appreciative to have experienced the Central concept and the time and energy that has gone into making this such a wonderful place - from each bowl, plate, fork, and spoon - to the wonderful knowledge derived from each and every person working there. Every question I had was answered confidently and without hesitation. The staff and food were both phenomenal, and everyone made my time there feel so special. Do yourself a favor and go and enjoy every moment!
This is a mix of Peruvian dishes not of tradition. However the cut of beef with the frites paired perfectly and the Mojito Mule was originally delicious. The staff were so warm and inviting. They’re used to dealing with us Gringo at the airbnb next door so enter without worry! Crème Brûlée was the best I’ve ever had!!!! Thanks Fabio!
Amazing steak - I would say second best in my three month travel (best was in Argentina for comparison) , absolutely go there! They are so friendly too

Perfeito! Fomos nesse restaurante para almoçar, não tínhamos reserva, porém chegamos cedo e conseguimos uma mesa. O Luiz nos atendeu extremamente bem, indicou os melhores pratos e um vinho peruano ótimo. A comida é maravilhosa, tudo muito bem preparado e bem feito. Provamos vieiras, navajas, lagostins, curry e o sanduíche… absolutamente tudo estava perfeito. Sem dúvidas um dos melhores restaurantes que conheci em Lima!
Great looking place with lots of people chatting and well volumed music. I only had a cookie today and a latte. The lattes was the best so far in this trip. It was hot and strong.

A once in a lifetime dining experience. I had the vegetarian menu and my husband had their regular menu. We both enjoyed tasting the different courses. Some of the courses were better than others (ads to be expected), but the experience, explanations, and presentation were all incredible. The service is world class and the staff made us feel very welcome. We dined a couple days before my birthday, so they even brought us an extra dessert to celebrate. The cocktails I ordered were also excellent and well balanced.
This was one of the best meals of my life (if not THE best). The food was absolutely incredible, but the service was top notch as well. We ordered from the a la carte menu and every single thing we ate was stellar (starting with the incredible and unexpected bread course). I’m a vegetarian and they had options on the menu but even gave me a few options that weren’t listed (including avocado ceviche - YUM) The whole vibe they create from the moment you check in is lovely as well. I’ll remember this meal for a long time.
We went there twice - for breakfast and lunch. The food is really good, but small portions for the price. I also must say, pay 6 soles for almond milk in the coffee is seriously not okay - way too expensive.

Very good food. Friendly and helpful staff. Our server, Frances, made sure we had everything we needed. We got the paiche a la parilla, wantanes champinoñes, and the conchitas. It was all very good!
My tour guide recommended this place during a tour in Barranco. The skewers are must. The restaurant is very close to the southern side of the Bridge of Sigh. A lot of tables inside, but can be crowded with tourists during dinner time.
The food was very very good, but the only English the staff speaks was” do you want to give tip?”. We didnt give because they forgot the drink and when finally came they just like throw it at the table…
Amazing food, perhaps the best food I’ve ever had. We had the tasting experience and a bottle of wine for lunch. Sadly it’s a once in a lifetime experience; total bill was $650! I booked online and don’t remember asking for the experience. Dinging them a star based on cost. I think it’s one of those places where if you have to ask the price, you don’t belong there in the first place!
Best meal we had in Peru by a mile! Food was absolutely delicious, we shared every course and could not decide which was our favourite. The staff kindly arrange for us to be able to share everything and paced the meal perfectly. Cheesecake was the best we’ve ever had! Everyone working there was incredibly kind and helpful, and a big thank you to Paolo (happy belated birthday!). Would 100% recommend if you’re ever in Lima, I hope to go again some day!!

El servicio estuvo super bien, el señor que nos atendió fue muy amable, atento y nos explicó la carta y los platicas, nos dio sus recomendaciones y además nosotros por ser extranjeros se puso a platicar con nosotros de su país, nos dio recomendaciones para visitar.
La comida estuvo deliciosa, super bien servido todo, la pizza es deliciosa y sus cortes de carne ni se diga, la verdad si vale mucho la pena ir.
Tiene una decoración super linda y al entrar al restaurante tiene unas estatuas del chavo del 8, en Perú les gusta mucho.
En general nos gustó mucho, algún día volveremos a peru y de igual manera a este restaurante tan lindo.

I enjoyed the lunch. The place was comfortable and the service was kind, they explained everything with patience. The food was well prepared with rich flavors. Every dish was a little bit spicy. They were flexible that the ceviche and boqueron I ordered half potion. I love the razor clam

Vinimos por una recomendación y superó nuestras expectativas. Gran cocina, buena bodega e inmejorable servicio. No te lo pierdas en tu paso por Lima, sin duda es uno de los imprescindibles. Tuvimos el honor de conocer al chef, un tipo muy simpático. Enhorabuena a todo el equipo.

An unserem letzten Abend in Peru haben wir uns mit unserer Unterkunftsgastgeberin getroffen und sie hat uns dieses wundervolle Restaurant empfohlen. Es war der perfekte letzte Abend. Das Essen war einfach fantastisch und die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und nett.

Service was friendly but slow. I want to note that it was not for a lack of hard work by the staff, because they were hustling. But possibly understaffed for Sunday brunch.
The Benedict was a huge disappointment. The edges of the toast were so hard (in some areas burnt) that if felt like sawing a log and I ended up cutting into large pieces and just eating with my hard because I was afraid I would impale myself trying to make more cuts. The egg was undercooked to the point that it seemed it was just yoke I was eating, because you couldn't pick up the whites with a fork (just liquid). Ultimately it was toast with ham and yoke for my brunch.
I worked in restaurants for year so really never would return food, but kind of wish I did because that was just not what I ordered.
Maybe a different food item and a less busy day would be a better experience, but not for me.

I got the tomahawk pork, it was the perfect balance of lean and fat, very nicely seasoned, the only thing I didn't like was the chimichurri sauce actually felt like a distraction from the meat, I don't think it was necessary, it was beautiful without it. It would be nice if they offered some sort of vegetable side to complete the balance of the meal. But overall I am nitpicking, great experience, don't hesitate.
Side note. I ordered a dessert to go. I understood that it was cake with ice cream, but I was only staying 2 blocks away so wasn't worried. But the server asked if I possibly didn't want the ice cream part. I said I wanted it. But he did send another server over to double check (probably because of my poor Spanglish,haha). Fui con unos amigos a comer anticuchos la noche pasada y NO LOS COCINARON BIEN. Le hice saber a la mesera de la cocción de la carne pero no hizo nada al respecto. Ahora tengo terrible dolor estomacal debido a la carne mal cocida del anticucho que nos sirvieron. Parece que los pusieron en el carbon por unos segundos y lo sirvieron. Es mi primera vez y la última que visito las instalaciones de este restaurante. Aquí las fotos como prueba de la carne bien cruda que nos sirvieron!
Todo delicioso, comida y atención espectacular. Felicitaciones al chef y equipo de cocina . Me atendió en salón Grecia , súper atenta todo el tiempo. Lo recomiendo.

Je suis venue avec mon compagnon pendant nos vacances au Pérou au mois de Mars et nous avons pris le menu dégustation « Mundo Mater » de 14 plats avec accompagnement des vins d’Amerique Latine. L’expérience a été très agréable du début jusqu’à la fin, le restaurant a une décoration très épurée et le service est surtout parfait (des serveurs très agréables avec des explications en anglais compréhensibles).
Les plats d’un point de vu gustatif ont été très bien réfléchis, certains ingrédients sont présentés en version mousse mais tout en gardant le goût du produit malgré les assaisonnements. Petit conseil : pensez bien à ne pas manger avant votre passage car après 14 plats (ou même 12) on arrivait plus à voir la fin 😁

Je suis venue avec mon compagnon pendant nos vacances au Pérou au mois de Mars et nous avons pris le menu dégustation « Mundo Mater » de 14 plats avec accompagnement des vins d’Amerique Latine. L’expérience a été très agréable du début jusqu’à la fin, le restaurant a une décoration très épurée et le service est surtout parfait (des serveurs très agréables avec des explications en anglais compréhensibles).
Les plats d’un point de vu gustatif ont été très bien réfléchis, certains ingrédients sont présentés en version mousse mais tout en gardant le goût du produit malgré les assaisonnements. Petit conseil : pensez bien à ne pas manger avant votre passage car après 14 plats (ou même 12) on arrivait plus à voir la fin 😁

My recent visit to Central, acclaimed as one of the world's top dining destinations, was filled with anticipation and intrigue. The ambiance of Central is truly enchanting, complemented by exemplary service and a detailed narrative about the origins of each ingredient, which I found both informative and engaging. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated and introduced to an innovative menu concept based on elevation and the passage of time, a unique approach that piqued my interest. The dishes we experienced were delicious, and the service was flawless, attentive without being intrusive, which added to the overall exceptional dining experience. However, despite these high points, I find myself hesitating to give Central a perfect rating. The reason lies in the value proposition; the total cost of our meal came to $1,000+ USD for my wife and me, a price point that, in my personal opinion, didn't fully match the overall experience. This has led me to the conclusion that, while Central is undoubtedly a must-visit for aficionados of exotic and high-quality cuisine, I might not find myself returning. The culinary journey at Central is undeniably of the highest quality, but it may not resonate with everyone's palate or perceived value. For those with a penchant for the exotic and a desire to explore the pinnacle of culinary craftsmanship, Central will undoubtedly be a delight. However, for me, it was a one-time experience to satisfy my curiosity, albeit a memorable one.
Excelente lugar para compartir, en familia, en pareja, o con amigos, tiene diferentes ambientes, elegí con la vista al mar, y estuvo muy agradable la experiencia, demore un poco en entrar, aprox 15 min, fui un sábado por la noche. Los mesoneros te atienden muy bien, había pedido lasaña y por el viento que corre allí se enfrió muy rápido, la mandé a calentar de nuevo y no hubo problema. Muy buena comida, el lugar bien acogedor en plena entrada a Barranco. Recomiendo el pulpo anticuchero y el lomo con quinoto de queso azul! En la carta dice que tienen hace 15 años ese plato y es con justa razón! Los posrtes se veían buenos pero no los probé.
Todo deli! Mi crème brûlée vino con residuos de vainilla, no me gusta así sino en esencia verdadera de vainilla, le tomé foto de los residuos que quedaron. El resto de la comida, bien! lo mejor el cebiche carretillero! 100% recomendable. Tartar normalito! Y la pasta de conchas y langostinos pasa piola, demasiado al dente para mi gusto y eso que demoraron en sacarlo. Las bebidas muy agradables, recomiendo el de frutos rojos, el de crema de coco muy dulce para mi gusto, si te gustan las bebidas muy azucaradas pídete el de crema de coco!

Loved everything about this place: the Pisco sour (both passion fruit and ginger ones!) the fresh ceviche, the rice with calamari and grilled octopus. Atmosphere was great and service helpful and welcoming. Would recommend and go back!
The best culinary experience we had in Peru and some of the best dishes we've ever had in our lives. Especially the langoustines and the cheek of the fish of the day were out of this world. Also, great - cocktails. We had something that felt like a mix of margarita and pisco sour which was incredible. Our waiter, Alejandro, was fantastic and made great suggestions. Super good value for money - we had 6 cocktails, plus 5 dishes for the table + dessert, and paid just over 350 soles. We are very sad we are leaving and we won't manage to go for a second time. Could not recommend more!
Yeryüzündeki en güzel brownie'yi yapan kafe. Haftaiçi evdeki görevli temizlik yaparken buraya çalışmaya geldim ve sonra bağımlısı oldum. Brownie bu kafede bir tatlı değil fakat hayatımızı daha masalsı kılan esrarengiz bir lezzet. Ayrıca diğer herşey de aşırı lezzetli. İstanbul'dan selâmlar.
Siete Restaurante in Lima, Peru is a nice place for lunch. Quaint. Cozy. Controlled menu. Some nice seafood options…. Especially the tuna… it was outstanding… simple, light and delicious. The shrimp were also a standout… flavorful and clean. Tasty ceviche! Clean and sweet scallops— the sauce was not overpowering. They mixed a good cocktail as well. A nice place to go.
What an amazing place it was!! we sat down in a nice little corner of the restaurant my girlfriend and me and it was so cozy and fun. The food was amazing, we both had duck, but primed differently, and it was both amazing. Also the Pisco sour is simply amazing! Service was A1 and really caring about the food experience! Would return any time!

This is a great restaurant and as a great restaurant deserves a more thorough critique.
From the moment you arrive you're excited to reach your seat. A large courtyard garden of fresh herbs that are in the food greet you. Once inside, the intoxicatingly wonderful smell of fresh plants welcome you to your seat. It's the best smelling restaurant I've visited. All the plates, cups, utensils, napkins, tables, and decor perfectly compliment the elegant ruggedness of their Amazon and oceanic dishes. It's a lovely atmosphere to dine in. Then comes the food.
For $225 as of February 2024 you can experience the tasting menu without a wine pairing (water is included). The regular tasting menu is excellent but not without weakness. Their use of acidity in early dishes is fantastic such as with sea urchin. As a savory dish, the squid and tuber shawi is divine and among the best tastes I've ever experienced. The final course of theobromas mater ended the sweet dining experience perfectly sweet. However, the beef rib with gravy was boring. Coming from Texas teaches you the potential of beef flavors, and the beef here wasn't better than fine. The vegetarian menu is a weaker experience but still very very good on its own. The cauliflower dish which replaced the rib was monotone by being overloaded with cauliflower flavor. It's a beautiful dish with no personality like many ex partners. More attention should be given to the expression of flavor on the vegetarian courses.
Overall I'd happily return, but for you vegetarians, don't feel bad missing out. Kjolle provides an excellent experience in both gastronomy and in ambiance. It's an establishment that's already top tier and I expect to see improve even further.

La comida deliciosa!!! Los langostinos y el chancho glaseado daban un toque diferente al chaufa, el cual fue mi favorito. La bebida de frutos rojos también super rica y refrescante, aunque el precio bastante elevado.

Expérience incroyable ! Richesse et diversité des produits à couper le souffle, créativité et originalité des plats.. Le service est impeccable et l'accord que nous avons prix avec le vin était surprenant et parfait. Petit bémol sur la présentation du vin ou nous aurions peux être voulu avoir plus d'explication et d'histoire autour des sélections choisis.

Exceptional experience. If you want a fine dining experience in Peru, this is your place. The entire complex is an experience in of itself, but the creations from the kitchen will leave you speechless. Our tasting menu was a masterful combination of textures, smells, and flavours.
Heerlijke plek: ik ben er nu n paar keer geweest en ook vandaag stelde PanSalAire niet teleur. De avocado toast is n klassieker; de avena was super en het "paddenstoelenpannetje" ook: dat vulde bovendien boven verwachting.

Ik heb een gerecht genomen dat met ‘meuniere’ startte, ik moet toegeven dat de vis lekker was met de aardappelen maar dat ze bij de saus allesbehalve zuinig geweest zijn met de limoenen.

Bin immer wieder gern dort. Für mich das beste Restaurant zum Anticuchos Essen mit tollem Ambiente und Service. Sehr empfehlenswert. Am besten vor 19 Uhr dort sein, denn danach muss man auf einen Tisch warten
Fijn restaurant in de wijk Baranco in Lima. Komen daar jaarlijks en eten daar altijd lekker. Schenken een goed glas wijn.
Gutes Essen, nette Bedienung. Bei diesen Preisen hätten wir uns jedoch grössere Portionen erhofft.

Damit wir möglichst viel von den ausgezeichneten Speisen degustieren konnten, haben wir drei Gerichte geteilt. Auch bei den Postres wählten wir unterschiedliche Süssigkeiten.
Ich verzichte jetzt darauf, die Speisen genau zu beschreiben. Tatsachen ist, dass man in diesem Gourmet Tempel blind auswählen könnte.
Sollte ich wieder mal in Barrenco (Lima) übernachten, werde ich sicherlich diesen Ort wieder besuchen.

Haut lieu de la cuisine péruvienne moderne qui est tout à fait à la hauteur de sa réputation ! Chaque plat est une proposition tout à fait nouvelle et le menu dégustation est un voyage à travers le Pérou. Sans conteste une des meilleures tables à laquelle j'ai mangé.
Cuisine originale (peut être un peu trop pour des palais français). Les serveurs parlent anglais mais nous ne comprenons pas toujours ce que nous mangeons. Nous avons été déçu que le chef vienne apporter les plats ou saluer la plupart des tables mais pas la nôtre, et le serveur m’avait dit qu’ils m’enverraient le menu du repas végétarien que j’ai pris mais je n’ai toujours rien reçu.
Un vrai voyage gastronomique , des goûts et des couleurs inconnues , mérite vraiment le détour peut être pas le voyage . Dommage de ne pas présenter les légumes inconnus pendant leur dégustation , dommage de présenter un des désert appelé la " montagne" dans un bol... dommage après avoir dégusté les entrées avec les doigts , de ne pas proposer des serviettes chaudes pour se rincer .
