Interested in something related to history- this is one of the places to go to. The fees was average considering other spots of importance, but it did not have any thing special or extra-ordinary. The staff should at least show the historical aspect of the place. If you are on a budget, you can avoid this place and choose binberderik cistern which is cheaper but only accepts card.
The cistern was built by Roman Emperor Theodosius II (r. 402–450) between 428 and 443 to store water supplied by the Valens Aqueduct. In 2010, the cistern was rediscovered under the building when Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality demolished the annex building. The 360-degree projection system integrated in the cistern’s interior offers the visitors an extraordinary visual and sound experience.

Beautiful little light show filled with Erdogan. Overpriced for such a little show with no history to read. 650 lira for entrance.
It was worth the time to come and see this one too. Smaller cistern, but it was less busy.

Quite small, and probably a little expensive for what it is.
However I really enjoyed the light effects on the columns. Great for taking photos. There is also a gap between the light shows so you can see the columns without any projections.
Visited in the late afternoon, no queues and not very busy inside.

Come early in the morning, ideally when it's opening. The light show is nice. The atmosphere is something you should experience. There aren't as many tourists as in the other cistern.
Istanbulski arheološki muzeji (turski: İstanbul Arkeoloji Müzeleri) grupa su od tri arheološka muzeja smještena u četvrti Eminönü u Istanbulu, u blizini parka Gülhane i palače Topkapı. Ovi muzeji čuvaju više od milijun predmeta iz gotovo svih razdoblja i civilizacija svjetske povijesti. Osmanski sultan Abdülaziz (vladao 1861. - 1876.) bio je impresioniran arheološkim muzejima u Parizu (30. lipnja - 10. srpnja 1867.), Londonu (12. - 23. srpnja 1867.) i Beču (28. – 30. srpnja 1867.) koje je posjetio u ljeto 1867. i naredio da se sličan arheološki muzej osnuje u Istanbulu. Tada, 1869. godine, crkva i radovi u njoj su dekretom svečano otvoreni pod nazivom "Müzei Hümayun" (turski: Müzei Hümayun ili İmparatorluk Müzesi). Kao takav, Istanbulski arheološki muzej često se smatra prvim muzejom Turske.
The café on the top floor turned out to be much more interesting than the attraction in the basement. I understand that I am a tourist, but the price is too high for a show that lasts only 5 minutes. Moreover, it is worth noting that it is just a projection with music.

Herkesin ailece gitmesi gereken bir yer özellikle bizzat çocuklarınıza o kültürel coğrafyanızda daha önce yaşayan medeniyetleri anlatmak onlara bu kültürü aşılamak ve göstermek gezdirmek biz ebeveynler birinci vazifemiz olduğuna inanıyorum. Ama öncelikle biz gezip bu kadim Anadolumuzda yaşanmış olaylar ve eserleri görmek biçilmiş bir kaftan. İskender lahiti, ağlayan kadınlar ve nice eserler eski çağlarda yapılmış çanak çömlek insanın akılları duruyor muhakkak gidin görün bugüne kadar niye gitmedim diye pişman olacaksınız. Kartınız varsa direk girersiniz. Beklemezsiniz
Zaman yolculuğu yapmak tarihle alakalı ilgi ve alakanız varsa ziyaret edilmesi gereken önemli müzelerden bir tanesi. Ziyaret saatlerinizi sabah erken saatlerde teecih etmelisiniz daha sakin oluyor 12den sonra hem girişlerde yoğunluk hemde müzenin içinde büyük bir yoğunluk oluyor.
Heykeller eski insanların bizden daha önde olduğunu düşündürüyor. Oda oda gittikçe nefesizin daha da kesildiği mükemmel bir müze. Günümüze kadar bu eserleri önümüze gelmeyi sağlayan Osman Hamdi beye şükranlarımızı bir borç bilmeliyiz. Ulaşım çok kolay . Müze kartı ile giriş yapabiliyorsununuz. Keyifli ve eğlenceli bir müze gezisi sizleri bekliyor.
Çok iyi dizayn edilmiş iki katkı içerisinde lidya döneminden roma dönemine kadar bir çok tarihi eser mevcut. Aynı zamanda giriş yapanlar Çinili köşke de üretsiz giriş yapabiliyor. İkisi dahil ücret ödeniyor. Müze kart geçerli. İçerisinde müzeye ait kafeterya mevcut. Müze kartı olanlara %20 indirim var.

Je súčasťou archeologického múzea. Menšia a zastaralejšia expozícia oproti archeologickej časti, ale stále zaujímavá je venovaná k obdobiu Mezopotámie, Sumerov, Asýrčanov a Chetitov. Nájdete tu najznámejšie mezopotánske reliéfy, doštičky s klinovým písmom, artefakty z bežného života, sochy, umelecké predmety, šperky, zbrane k vyšším spomenutým civilizáciám.
Expozícia má dve poschodia mne sa podarilo vidieť iba jedno spodné bol zavreté.
Info: Vstupné 60 Lír (4€) na osobu. V areáli múzea je WC a kaviareň (2x cappucino, 1x snack 100 Lír (6,5€). Bez sprievodcu. Dĺžka prehliadky 40min. Audio Guide na pokladni 40 Lír (2,5€).

Посетили музей в апреле 2021 г, музей понравился. Не большой по площади, но некоторые экспонаты мне показались уникальными, тк я еще не видела такого. Египет я видела в Каирском музеи, а вот Урарту, Вавилон !!!! Круто!!!))) Декоративные кирпичные панели улицы Процессий и ворот Иштар в Вавилоне - это жемчужина выставки!!! Кстати, в помещении, где находятся саркофаги даже свет не включили...очень неприятно(((...через стекло итак плохо видно. Но в целом даже есть кресла, чтобы посидеть, если устал (нам это помогло)
Arkeoloji müzesi gezisi sırasında gözden kaçırılmadan muhakkak görülmesi gereken çok güzel bir müze, müze hemen girişte solda bulunuyor. Bu arada müze kart alınması çok akıllıca bir davranış olur civarda ki 5 müzeyi gezmeye çalışsanız tek tek ödeyeceğiniz ücret daha yüksek olur
İstanbul Arkeoloji Müzesi'yle aynı konumda bulunuyor. Bu müzeye girince büyülenmemek ve şaşırmamak elde değil. Herkesin gidip görmesini mutlaka öneriyorum. Tarihteki ilk yazılı antlaşma olan Kadeş Antlaşması'ndan tutun, Mısır'daki mumyalara kadar birbirinden değerli birçok eser burada sergileniyor. Benim en çok eğlenceli bulduğum bölüm ilginç konulu çivi yazılı belgeler oldu. :)
