This is a fantastic palace to explore. There's a lot of history here with lots of plaques detailing lots of interesting facts on daily life of the occupants. The architecture is absolutely beautiful, as are the views.

You absolutely need to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are timed and you need to arrive within your timeslot. Once in, you can stay as long as you'd like, though you'll likely be done after a couple of hours, unless you are a real history buff and wish to read every plaque in every room.

If you're visiting the palace, your ticket also allows you to explore the surrounding grounds, which are huge. You could certainly spend the rest of the day wandering the trails and monuments. If you enjoy hiking, you can allot as much time here as your schedule allows.

If you're visiting multiple sites in Sintra in a single day, I would recommend hiring a driver to maximize your time. You can certainly do it on your own with public transit, but it'll be rushed as you'll be spending more time waiting.

The steps are steep and they are many to climb to this lookout, but they are worth it. There are great views at this highest point in Lisbon. It's busy as it is full of tourists, but there is space enough for everyone. From here, you can see many landmarks throughout the city, many of which you have/will likely visit if you're visiting Lisbon.

There is plenty of shade from the many trees, some benches for a break, and also snacks and drinks from a nearby café or food truck.

It's a nice view and a good place to sit and just enjoy the weather and people, but most people will only spend a few minutes here and then move along. If the climb up is too daunting, never fear, as there are plenty of tuk tuk drivers willing to transport paying tourists through the winding roads to the top! This is often one of the stops in many of the tuk tuk tour packages as well.

The parliament building is beautiful and the grandeur of it is awe-inspiring. There is plenty to observe and look at from the architecture and the statues of previous government figures. The grounds are also spectacular, with gorgeous gardens that are very well maintained. There is no cost to visit, so it is certainly worth a visit if you are already in the area. Even if you aren't a gardener, I think most people will appreciate the beauty of these gardens and find some enjoyment in exploring them all.

When I visited, it was already late, so the building was closed, but entry to the building is otherwise normally free, so you can explore inside as well, which would also be a great educational experience for the kids.

Not sure how well known this is, but there is also an extensive vegetable garden that visitors can freely use. My kids were very excited about that part and we took home a few things to enjoy with our dinner that evening.

Wow!! This was my first visit here and I was not disappointed. I can't speak to the other items on the menu but the Strawberry Cheesecake Bingsu we tried was fantastic. The take-out containers don't do it any favours, but if you eat in, the presentation is also very nice.

Note that you will need to patient, as it is made to order and it takes time to shave the ice, especially if there are others in front of you. But it is definitely worth the wait. It's a very refreshing dessert and perfect for sharing.

I'll be going back to try some of the other flavours.

I was looking for some things for my new leopard gecko and our local pet stores didn't carry them. Thankfully, ReptilesRuS carried it. Browsing their website, they had a wide selection of products, which the local big box chains did not carry, so it's nice to know that there's a place where we can get items that cater to reptiles.

Despite being a little more specialized, the prices were reasonable. Shipping costs were also reasonable and my order was shipped out the very next morning after I ordered it, which was securely packaged to minimize any risk of damage. Everything has been working as expected since setting it up.

I would certainly order from them again if there's anything I can't find locally.
