The great King Ranjit Singh, is rightly called the Lion of Punjab (Sher-e-Punjab) is a legend. You will find everyone takes photos in front of it. Don't miss! It will be a proud moment. Despite his handicaps like small pox and losing one eye, he rose like a lion to fight the war alongside his father when he was just 10!
First Sikh emperor to drive back the enemies and built Sikh empire. He is remembered for his donation of Gold to cover the famous Harminder Sahib temple with playing and thus making it Golden Temple.
Well maintained place, worth visiting. No entry fee.

This Temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi. Two separate Sannadhi's are there. There is always inflow of devotees to both the sannadhis. For Ganesha, Chaturthi is very important and similarly for Baba Thursdays. Special pooja and bhajabs are done on these days for Baba and devotees offer specially made Rice to all. Similarly for Ganesha His Birthday, Vinayaka Chaturthi is observed in a grand manner. Abhishekham is performed and Sandal paste cover is applied to the Lord.
Peaceful atmosphere prevails here. Though it is a small temple it is popular and frequented by devotees in large number. Car parking is on the road.

A quiet place near Besant Nagar beach to havd a go for milkshakes, waffles, ice creams, Sundaes speciality desserts. The ambience is good and decor refreshing. You get classic waffles with or without icecream (see menu). Very good taste. Staff are helpful. Rates look nominal. Parking is on the road only.
