Amazing Cathedral to see, right in the heart of Cologne. The view is tremendous from all sides on the outside - you'll have no issue spotting the tall spires, and as you close in you'll notice all the magnificent detail in the architecture. You can enter inside (check hours), however, you can't bring in any large bags; and be vigilant of any masses taking place.
Amazing metal crossing bridge for both trains and people - access is easy and available from both sides. You can see both sides of the Rhine River very clearly. There's also a long section of locks along the fence.
There's a very large open lot at the front of the Wurzburg residence, with a massive statue and fountain. There is paid parking available, which allows you to also get into the gardens at the side and nack.
Beautiful gardens outside the Wurzburg residence. Plenty of walking area around, with shrubs, roses, flowers, fountains and small ponds. Entry into the gardens is free, however, they are closed during the night time.
Awesome fountain that works through out most of the day - unfortunately we were a bit late and it turned off by the time we got close.
