very nice hotel, good location, close to metro. polite staff. the rooms are clean and tidy, the breakfast is varied and tasty.

hatten 4 Nächte gebucht, haben nach der ersten Nacht aber ausgecheckt ohne Aufpreis.
von aussen sieht das Hotel sehr ansprechend aus, das Zimmer erinnerte in der Residenz aber eher an die 70er Jahre, vom Badezimmer rede ich gar nicht.. es war alles dunkel und nicht sehr einladend.

Ein Hotel im einzigartiger Lage direkt an der Burg mit einem fantastischen Blick über Prag.
Die Betten sind bequem. Die Zimmer sauber, das Personal sehr freundlich.
Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr gut, mit frischen Speisen, Obst, Gemüse und großer Auswahl von allem.

Good clean room, friendly staff and a good price. Location a bit further off the center but public transport nearby or taxi for 6 to 8 euro to the center.

Breakfast had a lot of variety, but could be fresher at times for certain items.

Hotel rooms are very good for the price. The staff was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Vlada helped us if we needed everything and was lovely. Vilka also made us feel welcome! Breakfast is really good with lots of variety for different tastes.

Was hier voor een korte stedentrip.

De kamers zijn echt enorm schoon en goed onderhouden, zelfs een airco als het warm is.

Personeel voor de receptie is echt ontzettend vriendelijk en ook de schoonmakers en het personeel bij het ontbijt.

Locatie is perfect
Naast het kasteel, en in de buurtvan een busstation die je in 12 minuten in "old town" brengt.

Er komt veel licht langs de gordijnen waardoor het al vroeg heel licht in je kamer is.

Das Golden Star ist ein wunderschönes Hotel direkt bei der Prager Burg. Dadurch ist der Weg zum Hotel auf dem Berg zwar immer wieder ein gutes Sportprogramm, aber es lohnt sich. Das Frühstück ist super, sehr viel Auswahl und toller Blick aus dem Frühstücksraum. Unser Zimmer hatte eine gute Größe, bequeme Betten und ein modernes Bad. Die Zimmer sind bequem über einen kleinen Fahrstuhl erreichbar, wenn man nicht die alte Wendeltreppe nutzen möchte. Auch das Restaurant im Hotel kann ich empfehlen: Wir waren im Februar da und konnten trotzdem Abends schön einen Wein auf der kleinen Terasse trinken und uns danach die leckere tschechische Küche schmecken lassen. Immer wieder gerne!

Die erste Nacht war gut. Zimmer sind sauber.
Pool ist nur morgens von 7-9 Uhr und abends ab 18 Uhr benutzbar. Whirlpool komplett geschlossen.
Shuttleservice hat total versagt! Wir wollten abends um 19 Uhr, wie vereinbart vom U-Bahnhof abgeholt werden.
Aus den versprochenen 10 Minuten wurden 55 Minuten! Obwohl ich noch 2x anrief und mich beschwerte, dass meine beiden Kleinkinder müde, und friehrend warteten!
Das SCHLIMMSTE: es fand eine Lautstarke Party statt, im Restaurant direkt unter uns. Wir wurden über nichts informiert. Als ich um 22 Uhr bei der Rezeption fragte, wie lange der Krach noch dauert, wurde ich forsch ohne Antwort abgewiesen.
Es war so laut, dass man den Fernseher nicht richtig verstehen konnte!
Nach einer Diskussion mit dem unhöflichen Rezeptionisten durften wir das Zimmer wechseln.
Immerhin bekamen wir am nächsten Tag das Geld für die Nacht ohne Umschweife zurück.

I had guests from abroad and they were very satisfied. Nice and willing personel as well. Amazing breakfast!

Nice appartment, but on top of Pizza place and it's owen is on all day, which means the appartment gets really hot. And of course A/C costs extra.
Location is a plus though.

You can hear everything from rooms around you and even steps from room above you.

Double beds terrible, coz its connected in middle by zippers, so you can't use it properly

Great stop off point on the way up to Prague Castle. You can sit inside or outside. Toilets are very clean and very modern. Had the old Czech potato soup. Very nice and very warming as it was -6 outside.

I was there 2 weekends ago and I had good time,in the room during the night was a bit cold but I survived and we had a silent night ,the place is friendly, the owner was Mega nice.Free Internet, free Netflix and lots of guide flyers for different languages.

Zunächst mal die positiven Eindrücke: Das Hotelgebäude an sich ist schön und geschmackvoll renoviert und auch die ruhige Lage wussten wir zu schätzen. Der Shuttle Service hat uns schnell und zuverlässig zur Metro gebracht und abgeholt. Die Mitarbeiter sind allgemein freundlich und höflich und auch entgegenkommend. Aber für ein Vier Sterne Hotel war das Gebotene doch sehr dürftig. Leider waren unsere Betten eine einzige Katastrophe. Das Bett besteht aus einem Lattenrost, der lose auf auf einer Holzkiste aufliegt und hat eine harte und dünne Matratze. Auf Nachfrage erhielten wir einen Topper und zusätzliche Decken um dem etwas abzuhelfen. Es war dadurch besser aber nicht wirklich gemütlich. Die Vorhänge sind durchsichtig, so dass es nachts durch die Außenbeleuchtung sehr hell ist, auch das trägt nicht zur Nachtruhe bei. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat mich stark an frühere Jugendfreizeiten erinnert, günstige Käse- und Wurstscheiben, Einzelportionen Marmelade und Honig, nur ungesunde Frühstückscerealien (Schokopops, Cornflakes, süßes Fertigmüsli, Joghurt im Plastikbecher. Es gab dazu ein wässriges Rührei mit Bohnen, hartgekochte Eier und Brot und Brötchen in Discounterqualität. Für das vorhandene Obst habe ich mir selber ein Obstmesser mitgebracht, da es mühsam ist, mit den Frühstücksmessern dieses zu schneiden. Das Abendessen im Restaurant ist ebenfalls nur mittelmäßig gut und auch wenn der Oberkellner ein sehr humorvoller und sympatischer Zeitgenosse ist, hat es nicht für einen zweiten Besuch gereicht. Der Wellnessbereich ist in die Jahre gekommen und bräuchte eine Renovierung. Wir waren jeden Abend dort zum Schwimmen und für einen Saunagang aber auch dort ist es nicht einladend. Es gibt drei Liegen die am Pool stehen aber es ist eng und schlecht beleuchtet. Wir sind einen Tag früher als geplant abgereist. Mit ein paar Veränderungen könnte das Hotel sehr gut sein, so wie es derzeit ist, ist es irgendwo in den 90er Jahren stehen geblieben.

Wir schätzten den angebotenen Service der Abholung und Rückfahrt zur U-Bahn. Vier U-Bahn-Stationen vom Zentrum von Prag entfernt.
Der Shuttleservice war extrem unfreundlich und genervt.
Wenn man mit Menschen arbeitet, sollte man sich so ein Verhalten nicht erlauben.

We had a very pleasant stay here! Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and clean room, decent breakfast and the city centre is easily reachable with public transport. Parking is also available for a small fee.

We had a very nice stay at the Uno Hotel. Staff was very friendly and our room was cleaned well every day. unlimited water, coffee and tea. The hotel is located slightly outside the center but is easily accessible by metro. you are in the center within 10-15 minutes.

One of the owners who welcomed us were very rude, he talks us down like we are some kind of idiots. First he mocked my wife because she wanted to take off her shoes before getting inside our room, then he tells us "lock the doors, double lock the doors" 4 times (although every night and morning we found the main door unlocked), "be quiet or police may come" 2 times (although 2 nights we waken up by some noise inside) and "dont break anything or you will pay for it", "dont smoke or you will be fined" , "check out before 10am or you need to pay" in a very rude way, and the last 3 things also in some posters in the room. The room was actually cold, when we tried the heater it just made some noise but did not heat the room. Did not recommened to stay here to anyone.

Nice rooms, any noise, you can eat there it's cheap and the staff is perfect, smile...

Dislike that the bathing area is very small and they charge 10 euro to clean the room.

Advertises as parking is 10€, and parking is not completely resolved, they send arriving guests to the parking in the shopping center as their places ("garage 10 €..." they only have a few parking spaces) and how the guests receive unreal bills (I paid about 50€ per night, guests from Korea 100€/day ). When the aghasted guests start demanding explanations (the situation is heating up...), the receptionist starts using the phrases prepared by the managers: we only recommended parking..., you parked as a private person..., etc. When does dissatisfaction become uncontrolled the management is running away from responsibility, trying to protect itself with cheap and brazen lies... Avoid this accommodation...!!!

Below, the owner Ondrej Opletal is lying when commenting "The problem you are describing happened due to the fact that the customers in question never booked the parking with us".... I want to clarify again, when we booking through booking.com, it was indicated that parking would be required. It seems that the owner Ondrej Opletal sets the tone and tells the staff to lie as well....

Booked via booking.com which asked me when I will arrive in Prague, I put in 10 AM. After a couple days I simply need to reschedule my trip hence I cancelled the booking and noticed the owner send me a message saying "If you need to check in early I suggest reserving a hotel that provides early check-in.
That way you will not waste anyone's time unnecessarily." I cancelled the booking according to the booking.com policy and I had to be accused of wasting people's time? I wonder how they would treat their actual customer if anything doesn't go as they wished.

I just checked again and open the hotel location from bookings. IT IS THE SAME HOTEL. Even the property manager has the same name (first and last) as I can see he replying to other people’s reviews. I posted the message he sent me, I did block out the name part due to privacy.

Wir waren 2015 bereits in diesem Hotel und waren damals absolut begeistert. Ganz besonders gefiel uns damals der Check-In mit diversen Hinweisen zu Sehenwürdigkeiten, einigen Flyern und sehr angenehm war damals die Möglichkeit den Shuttle zur Tram oder zum Zoo zu nutzen. Doch diesmal.. kein Flyer, kein Shuttle (obwohl beworben, -- das FZG sei defekt.. offensichtlich fehlt wohl eher Personal ?) -- dafür wurden gratis Tramfahrkarten angeboten. Für uns war der Shuttle Service ein wesentlicher Punkt, dieses Hotel erneut zu buchen -- Auto 4 Tage stehen lassen, Prag ohne Parkplatznöte erkunden und geniessen. Nun gut, wir haben Uber genutzt! Uber ist ideal und preiswert! Vom Hotel zur Burg im Black Uber (E Klasse / Lexus) ca. 10 Euro.. Mit dem eigenen PKW in die Stadt zu fahren ist grausam. Prag ist eine einzige Baustelle und Stau normal. Versucht es nicht einmal.. Es ist GRAUSAM! Das Personal im Hotel ist extrem freundlich, die Sauberkeit ist OK. Das Frühstück ist offensichtlich typisch Tschechisch. Brötchen? - Nein! Ein bissle Rüherei, Bohnen, drei Sorten Wurst / Käse, blau gekochte Eier, Hörnchen .. naja.. für den Start in den Tag reicht es, ist aber ausbaufähig. Das Essen zum Abend ist ebenso OK, aber leider kaum Bewertungsfähig. Das einzig Böhmische auf der Karte war Rinderbraten mit Böhmischen Knödeln.. naja, das geht besser! Die Zimmer sind OK, und wie das Bad relativ gross. Auf dem Balkon ist das Rauchen erlaubt! Daumen hoch!! Der Pool im Hotel dient offensichtlich Prager Müttern / Kindern als Schwimmlernpool, was bedeutet, dass die Parkplätze Tagsüber recht knapp werden können. Alles in Allem ein gutes Hotel mit sehr freundlichen Mitarbeitern, aber es gibt deutlich Luft nach oben.

Das Hotel ist stellenweise sehr in die Jahre gekommen und bietet, mit Ausnahme des Wellnessbereich und der großen Zimmer, wenig Komfort in der Ausstattung. Das Preisniveau ist gut und inklusive Frühstück und Parkplatz passt die Leistung im Allgemeinen. Das Personal an der Rezeption ist freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Große Familienzimmer. Etwas kleiner Pool- und Wellnessbereich. Zimmer sind zweckmäßig ausgestattet auf dem Niveau einer guten Pension in Deutschland.
Das Essen im Restaurant ist gut. Es gibt für Kinder ein Spielezimmer und einen Spielplatz, leider beides schon in die Jahre gekommen. Kostenlose Parkplätze stehen auf dem Gelände zur Verfügung. Für einen kurzen Städtetrip ist es ausreichend.

Schönes Hotel. Sicher etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber alles in allem passt das Preis / Leistungsverhältnis. Der Shuttle war perfekt. Die sehr guten Bewertungen für das Frühstück können wir absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Keine Brötchen, jeden Tag Hörnchen und immer dasselbe ist einfach zu wenig. Die Bedienung früh macht Ihren Job, mehr aber auch nicht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Personal an der Rezeption und der Kellner im Restaurant.

I Felt humiliated.

One of the worst experiences i had in my life and believe me I have traveled all around the world.

I booked a room through booking.com and I got a check in time by 11 30 PM. I got there and I could not check in. The receptionist which do not exist after 9 PM was gone. They have this AutoCheck in which is a total disaster.

I have spent 2 hours back and forth to call them to check in. Sometimes they were answering sometimes they were not answering. I asked for waiving the fee and cancel my booking so i can go to another hotel, but they refused.

I was not the only one with this problem. A couple spent 2 hours to check in also, the lady started to cry when they saw the room and they realized they got scammed, and another 2 kids that they also staying outside in front of the door.

The room was different from what I have paid. A basement room, with a small window without any light, somewhere near the janitors and maids carts.

When I finally got into the room, I found my sleeping partner (a bug) which I have filmed.

One of the worst and humiliating experiences that i have ever had and i paid 80 EUROS per night for this.

Please do not check in there, i am currently under process of trying to deplatform them from all booking websites.

Not recommamded!

The staff at the costumer service were very rude and unpleasant. When we came there to ask them for help we were told to wait and come back over and over again with no consideration of our time in Prague. More then that, we got a very disrespectful and rude service.

In addition, the apartment was not ready in time and we had to wait for them to finish cleaning it, the reception was around 10 minutes of unpleasant walking with our luggage from the apartment and the wifi NEVER worked.

Not worth the money at all!

Very misleading apartments. Did not look like the ones we booked. Poor WiFi, very specific spots where you could actually work or chat back home.
In addition, charged us extra fees for our stay after we accidentally booked the place twice (their mistake). They didn’t agree to give us back our money, and kept us waiting until the very last day of our trip- so that they would have most chances of us not being able to do anything about it.
